Gotta say you are one of the best, if not THE BEST at doing these tutorials. You actually explain how things work, instead of just pressing buttons to get a certain result.
Useful tutorial. Great that you discribe that cinaware bake down effectors ect on import and that redlight is excluded from import. I saved alot of time. Thanks a bunch!
Can you please make breakdown for this scene ? How to make the ball affects the geometry under when it is moving. Thank you for the amazing videos, you are the BEST!!
sooo good to find this content ... i think you need part two to talk about takes and update file in unreal and another thing about alembic file to cloth simulation and etc.. .. i`m happy to found you
Hey man. I have a question about C4D to UE5. Let's say I created an animation that has a cinder block that inflates into a balloon. Not only does the shape change but the material does as well. It's a smooth transition powered by a vertex map and a spherical field. Would I be able to import this into UE5? I dont pay for redshift or octane anymore. UE5 is my only renderer.
Hmmmm great question, I know you can import static vertex maps to use as masks in UE, I'm not sure about dynamic vertex maps. I'll have a check and get back to you! You could also just make a gradient in UE and use that as a mask to transition between materials? Maybe this would be a good video idea...👀
Nope, this was all PBR workflow from existing textures - mainly used the velvet/suede master material from the Fabric collection on the Epic marketplace which I think is free. Or it's in the automotive pack.
C4D is 2023, UE5 is 5.21 and I have installed the Datasmith C4D importer plugin, v 1.1 I am trying to take a character that is rigged/animated from C4D and put him into UE. So far, I have gotten him imported, and the skeleton is attached, but the animation data is getting lost I think. The Actual import of the animation for some reason is also oriented different and I can't change it. @@ali.3d

Thank you sooo much! That really means a lot and I'm glad you find this to be helpful 🙌🏽🫶
Great tutorial thank you! I definitely would like to see a texturing breakdown of that scene.
Good stuff my man 🤙🏿
@@ali.3d appreciate you homie thanks!

Thank you!! I actually do that in this video in the Cinema4D section, or do you mean a more step-by-step tutorial walkthrough?

Thanks so much Bro! For sharing the amazing workflow. Looking forward to your upcoming video.
AMAZING VIDEO. Thanks a lot
Awesome, clear and concise. Appreciate the little pro tips too. Thanks!
Thank you so much, this is an amazing compliment and means a lot to me 🙏
@@ali.3d You're welcome! Please continue to share your Unreal & C4D work with us. It is cool to see how you are using both toolsets 🙌
Great tutorial!
A very useful tutorial, thank you!
Great work, looking forward to more.
Can you interact with the scene? drop a character and move it around? or make it like a VR experience?
Yeah as long as your geometry has collisions! And you can use the VR Project Template to have all the controls ready to go.
Good job ! Like , subscription !

what was the render time comparison between octane and UE.
I've got plans to do a comparison video on this! But comparing with Redshift since that is the other renderer I use.
what about texture? do you use subpainter?

I cannot find the plugin Cineware in UE5. I can only find the Datasmith original one
Hmmm...which C4D/UE5 version are you using? Also which Cineware plugin version have you installed?

How can I import a dynamic body animation from Cinema 4d to UE5?
Hello! Sorry for the late reply....I've got 2 videos out covering this now! One for cloth and one for soft bodies - I hope they can help.
great stuff.Very well explained playboy... just what I was looking foo... new subscriber!!.
