Jesus said, "I tell you the truth no one will see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." For God so loved the world that He give His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the World through Him. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, and All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. " If you want to be sure of Heaven and avoid the other place below say the following prayer sincerely from your heart." Lord Jesus I repent and am sorry for my sins forgive me. I forgive all who have offended me. Come into my heart and save me. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and baptise me with your Holy Spirit. Fulfill your plan and purpose in my life. "I recommend you read John's Gospel especially chapter 3.Gbu.John 3v3v22,John 14v6.

I saw the "Jesus Revolution" movie last week. I had never heard of Lonnie Frisbee. Chuck Smith, Katherine Kuhlman, John Wimber -- I'd heard of all of them, definitely.
I suppose Lonnie's life had been erased from church history, unfortunately. Hopefully now it's resurrected.
I got "born again" on February 5, 1973, 50 years ago -- during the same time period of Lonnie's testimony herein. Hard to believe, because it feels like yesterday.
I too heard the audible voice of God. I was a college student, and very much "into the world."
An anointed man, who I had just met that day, told me about Jesus at his home.
I told him, "I believe all this stuff" . . . meaning I believed in Jesus; I believed He was resurrected; I believed he was born of a virgin.
I believed because I was raised in the Eastern Orthodox Church. No one told me about Jesus, but the icons in the church "seeped" into me, and I did believe.
But I didn't "know" Jesus. He was just far off, somewhere way out in the universe. Maybe he would protect me; maybe he wouldn't.
The man said, "Let's pray to be sure." We said a prayer to receive Jesus. I asked forgiveness for my sins, and said he was Lord.
The man showed me a scripture, Romans 10:9-10:
"If you believe in your heart God raised Him [Jesus] from the dead, and confess with your mouth He is Lord, you shall be saved." [paraphrased.]
He asked me, Do you believe He was raised from the dead? I said yes. He then asked, Do you believe He's your Lord? I said yes. He said, "Then your saved!"
I left the man's house, and was driving my Father's big purple Cadillac to go home. I was 22 years old and was just going to rush off, full speed ahead, and return to my old way of life - - totally forgetting about what just happened. It would have meant nothing to me. In fact I was already forgetting it.
I drove down a slight hill, and the car just stopped. I heard a VERY loud voice, that seemed to explode In my head and fill the entire car, say, "You better stop and think about what happened up there. It was pretty important."
    God actually stopped my car!
I was in a daze. WHAT is happening? My sister-in-law was following me in her car. (She had taken me to visit this man.)
She ran up to my car and knocked on the window. "What's wrong?" she asked. I looked at the gas gauge and the car had gas. "I said -- I don't know. It's got gas."
She said, "Well let's go get gas anyway" (which made no sense).
We took her car to buy a gallon of gas, put it in my car, and the car started! (That too made no sense!)
I was a transcendental meditator. I had meditated diligently for 3-1/2 years, 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes at night.
The man and I made a deal that instead of meditating for 20 minutes, I would pray. I agreed to do that for one week.
He tried to get me to do it for 3-1/2 years (the same amount of time I had meditated). I thought that was absurd. Then he whittled it down to one year. I said, No way!
Then he said, how about one week? He asked how long do you meditate for? I said 20 minutes.
He said, "Instead of meditating that 20 minutes, why don't you pray during that time for one week?"
I thought, "One week . . . I could do one week." We had a deal.
So that night my meditation time arrived. I thought, Okay I've got to pray. I didn't know how to pray. I thought, well when I was 12, I used to get on my knees by my bed and say a prayer. So I'll get on my knees.
I did that. I went to open my mouth to pray, and it was like a ton of bricks were falling out of heaven, one by one, all at once, onto my head.
Scores of people had been telling me that transcendental meditation was not a good thing. You're opening your up mind up to anything - - demons - - anything.
All their words and faces came pouring out of heaven onto my head, like bricks, convicting me that I had been trying to find God in the wrong way.
I had been trying to find Him through meditation when I should have been trying to find him through Jesus.
I started crying and repenting of my error. I hadn't cried in 10 years.
At that point I got "born again." My life started to totally change. Strange, spiritual things started happening to me.
I subsequently got baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. The entire heavenly realm opened up to me.
It's been a tremendous journey ever since.
I pray that anyone reading these words, if you have not yet received Jesus Christ as your Lord, please ask Him into your heart, ask forgiveness for your sins, and say out loud, "I confess you as my personal Lord."
It's a simple thing to do. God made it simple.
Say that prayer and your life will be changed. You'll never be the same. God bless you. 🙏

If you’re still hearing voices, it actually means you’re possessed by a demon pretending to be God or Jesus. Remember how Lucifer said he would be “like the Most High”? God doesn’t need you to “live for him,” he wants you to believe that his Son lived and died for YOU! We are living in the time after Israel lost their kingdom and all of their signs and wonders ceased. Remember that the scriptures say that “the Jews seek after a sign”? Paul received the revelation of the mystery AFTER Israel was let go in Acts 28:28-31; Paul never mentions Israel getting their kingdom again and he never quotes OT scripture again. The mystery introduces the signless dispensation of Gentile grace (and everyone is a Gentile in God’s eyes today), and the terms of that salvation to eternal life are in Ephesians 2:8&9 KJV, and consist of the upfront forgiveness of sin (Eph 1:7 KJV) and eternal security - nothing believers do can lose it (Eph 4:30)! Get out of Israel’s failed relationship with God and show yourself to be a believer that rightly divides the word of truth! Whether God resumes his relationship with Israel or not, does not make us Israel - we are Gentiles offered a free gift of eternal life in Christ!

I remember lonnie and his wife connie. I hung out with him a few times. I think it was in SF, not sure, some christians had a mission on page Street. I was seeking at the time but I don't recall if we spoke about matters of faith. It was a year or later that I had a distinct conversation experience and later joined a church. They were lovely, gentle people.

What a great example of how we can all hear the Holy Spirit give us directions step by step for others. I find it so comforting like Lonnie is my people.
While Lonnie was speaking, I rarely have visions. I saw people spread out having some difficulties with certain things, like tripping up in warfare, then people with the Spirit coming up from behind, spread out to go to individuals who were having troubles. The troubled people were being helped, healed and picked right back up. The more chaos that was happening, the more miracles were being performed, as GOD helps us all through Yeshua, Messiah to be overcomers, by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimonies.

I seriously doubt God would want anyone to go back to the defunct, cancelled, failed relationship he had with Israel (who as a nation rejected his Son even after he died a cruel death by crucifixion at their request and rose again)! God gave his divorced wife Israel one generation to come to her senses and accept the proposal of remarriage he sent to her via his Son. God doesn’t owe them another chance! That’s a lie from Satan to deceive us! God’s divorce from his estranged wife Israel is final and the dispensation of Gentiles Grace that began after Acts 28 will take us right to and through the appearing of Jesus Christ (Col 3:4 KJV) and into the kingdom he will inherit from his Father (Col 1:13 KJV) - not Israel’s kingdom! All that belong to God by faith have already been supernaturally translated into it so that the one new man made of twain by us Gentiles and the household of the Jewish saints might be his fellow heir. Ephesians 3:6 KJV

I saw the Jesus Revolution twice. Great movie. I had never heard of Lonnie. I was saved in a hippie commune in Colorado 4/28/1974. We knew nothing about what was happening in California as we were living in tents. No tv. The Holy Spirit was moving in such a powerful way across America and millions of young people were saved. I was challenged to pray to God the Creator and ask Him to make whatever was real, real to me. You can’t live in Colorado and not believe in a Creator! I prayed and 3 months later confessed my son and received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. 49 years later, He is still my very life. And the move of God across America is happening again. Pray to be part of it!

The Commision to spread the word into Africa, Europe, etc. was phenomenal but it was always for God. He even recalls in the 2nd book how the church back home would not give him donations for the work but the Lord provided. Very human but somehow God used him tremendously.

    • @JesusPeopleSF

    • @KrisVComm
      @KrisVComm Год назад

@@JesusPeopleSF it is troublesome to me that Calvary was built upon the teaching a of one who was part of a culture of drugs and aberrant sexuality. Though CC was a stepping stone in my faith, I cannot now affirm that the gospel which they preached was the same Gospel which Paul preached. Neither was it the gospel which Spurgeon preached. I often experienced Chuck saying many times that Spurgeon was one of his great influences in the faith. Yet, Spurgeon was very clear that he held to a soteriology like that of John Calvin. Spurgeon did not ascribe to altar calls and decisional regeneration what was clearly a monergistic work of God alone. Calvary less so as they promoted a synergistic view of man’s will cooperating with God’s will to result in salvation. Also, was Spurgeon a proponent of Pre-tribulation Rapture eschatology and Dispensationalism? Certainly Chuck Smith held all of these positions. I once tried to have a conversation about these things with Chuck outside of Mother’s Market on 17th street in Costa Mesa.
Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the church feel it important to separate from Lonnie because of some of the things like his drugs usage and homosexuality? I feel like they were trying to clean up and sanctify the history books a bit.
I am grateful for my years at CCCM and also for the times spent in Missler’s study and the FFFC group.
However, I believe it was during a Bible study in Romans where God really apprehended me with His Gospel. My time at CCCM was merely preparatory.
Every church story has man involved and so there is always an element of sinful humanity in even the best of things.
My prayer is that people who continue searching scripture and grow to no longer drink only milk.
