0:00 Introduction
0:01 MARCEL & THE BURNERS
1:06 GISELLE SPEAKS HER MIND
2:44 ANDREW'S HOUSE
3:14 SARAH'S DEFENCE
3:46 ACID WITH CHEESE? - Развлечения
"Am I the only one here?" Lol! Bully gang mentality. Surprised Ilan didn't fabricate something to further make himself look bettef than Marcel. That season was disgusting. Glad the contestants/show now focus more on the food than showing how terrible they are as human beings.
Well I think she said that because they had all complained and discussed how they don’t like Marcel for a variety of reasons and then when she spoke up about it, the boys just left her out there to sink on her own… Making it seem like this was a her own issue and they had no idea what she was talking about… so I kind of understand why she felt alone.
That being said, I think this season had a serious reality show vibe to it and Marcel was painted as the bad guy and people were all really really mean to him and assumed a lot about him and constantly ridiculed his cooking simply because he enjoyed new and exciting techniques… it was all very odd. That being said, a bunch culinary stars are born this season
What season?
The crazy part was is that Marcel didn't even cheat lol. If you watched the episode then you'll know that the producers only showed a quick glimpse in the flashback, but even so you hear him say that the burner wasn't on and he needed the eye- so I'm not sure why they keep trying to throw him under the bus (not the judges but the editors and the other contestants).
Edit: Totally agree with Fabio that acid with cheese sounds unappetizing 💀💀
Fabio is hilarious! He was like, how dare you, a fellow Italian, ever suggest such a thing
@@SankofaNYC He was lol.
The camera technology is so amazing year and year, the picture is getting better. Never realise it until you compare it side by side.
You are totally right. Sometimes watching season one makes it look like you’re watching 90s soap operas.
Ilan was a terrible person and a worse chef compared to Marcel. The way everyone bullied Marcel that season was so off putting. The dude was annoying but the way they treated him was also appalling.
Sarah's response was very telling. Phillip is so delusional.
I am glad that these reunions didn't continue the next season on. Less about gossip, more about food and those amazin chefs.
Tom's respone @ 03:26 lol. he was clearly the recipient of that "F off". There's a reason Sarah has never returned to Top Chef in any capacity despite being a finalist.
It wasn't Tom who was told to F off, it was Emeril Lagasse. It was talked about on one of the top chef blogs.
I'm glad to finally see that people are realizing that how Marcel was treated during Season Two, was not ok. Having to endure an environment with ceaseless hostility was messed up. This competition is supposed to show your mettle as a chef. I'd expect that professionalism is one of those skills that'd be expected to be on display at all times. Didn't see a lot of that during Season Two.
I blame the producers. They tried so hard to make it seem like Marcel deserved the bs he got.
He was made to be the villain that season, but the others were the true bullies. Marcel should have won by default after the 3 others played a part in the attack.
@@samantharemigio8726 Well Marcel was not showing professionalism either. so he wasnt a saint.
@@dennisvillaflor3359 No, but he didn't deserve the bullying he received.
From episode 1 on Marcel was bullied because they thought he was a threat. I’d challenge anyone who say he was even close to treating others as poorly, because he didn’t. That was a tough season to watch because the producers allowed the verbal harassment to become the situation that was physical harassment. Shame
Most chefs are arrogant, no matter how mediocre they might be. Gravity and humility comes from being able to accept failure - with arrogance there can never be a sense of achievement.
Season 2 was baaad. Lots of bullies and immature chefs that time. 🙈
I hated Elia and Ilan for sure. They had the whole bully mentality and were just horrible people. I would never want to eat their food.
Elia was awful. I remember hating marcel when the season was on but going back elia was the worse. Same with ilan
To think Mia dropped out to save Elia. 🙄🙄🙄. I also think Elan was a manipulative snake during the finale, and set up Elia to call out Marcel.
@@avalangrin4904 Sam too. He said "say something" and then told her to wait. I rewatched and hated everyone. ELIA was his friend all the way to the finals.
@@samcharlie7724 Elan, Sam, and Elia should have been suspended along with Cliff for planning that prank to cut off Marcel’s hair. I understand why Tom couldn’t because there would be no show. I also didn’t like Cliff so I felt he got karma for throwing Mia under the bus when Mia decided to play martyr. I’m no big fan of Marcel, but I don’t believe Elan deserved to win.
Elia was always super unprofessional and petty
Don't forget Betty she was just as bad as Ilan
God season 2 was such a shit show. I felt so bad for Marcel. He was probably a bit of a jerk at some points, but the other chefs were incredibly unprofessional. Will never eat at any of their restaurants even if it was free.
Tom wanted to eliminate the other chefs and declare Marcel the winner after the head shaving thing.
I hated that season. They way they all ganged up on him was awful. One contestant even got disqualified for attempting to assault him while the rest stood by and laughed.
@@MrMarvel1991 Honestly that should have been the ending of the season. The others who stood by and laughed should have also gotten the boot.
@@icedmocha5264 Blame the production company.
well this video isnt "Spoke Out Against The Judges" its Spoke Out Against The fellow contestants
Emeril was like someone GMTFO.
Top Chef Season 2 is the only season I've never rewatched! Never ever! I was sooooo happy that Elia was eliminated FIRST in the next season she appeared in! And sometime before the Live Reunion Show, she stalked Tom's restaurant to find anything negative about it. She's a real douch! A terrible person.
Fabio could never take Constructive Criticism....
I never knew Scott connant judged on top chef lol , I wonder if someone gave him raw red onion 😂😂😂
Loool
Heather will never get anywhere with her atttitude, sad tears for a sad chef
Beverly got a James Beard & a Michelin Star.
Heather got NOTHING!!!
I was so disappointed when Heather was on an episode of Somebody Feed Phil. I love that show and I felt that episode was tarnished.
Fun thing to note. Out of all of the top chefs in the history of the show, Philip is one of the very few with a Michelin star
3:37 🙄 Here come the tears.
You choose to be on a TV reality show, but your lil feelings are hurt when you’re called out!? Come ooooooooon!
I guess the pressure and frustration gets to you in something like this and you snap. But if nothing can be accomplished by complaining, I typically look at situations like this as a learning experience on how to deal with different people.
Or you could be Elia and still be asking if Marcel has grown up yet.
MARSEL was another contestant that was bullied by the other contestants.
His was worse though. Everyone in that season was either bullying him, or turning a blind eye while he was being bullied.
I hope that girl got the help and solace she needs.
Markel is telling the truth.I watched that season,
Must’ve never heard of vinegar then
they named the wrong one karen
You don’t care what happens in the kitchen you only care about the food, don’t you Tom!?
He meant he doesn’t want to hear whining about someone being annoying. Marcel is annoying but harmless. They were making a big deal out of nothing just trying to get him thrown off because Ilan is a punk.
Judge or not, acid with cheese? Connant as the least talented of the judges is always the most arrogant and the fool has an Italian restaurant and thinks its funny to make fun of the Italian contestant's accent as a judge? Please!
Tom's words were telling: "I don't really care who cheats or sabotages people! Go to it!"
Watch seasom 2 and then judge Tom's response.
watching this compilation makes me miss the drama except the season 9 drama. season 9 drama was gross
The bullying in Season Nine was bad, but the bullying in Season Two was worse. Almost everyone was plotting against, and bullying Marcel. Those who weren't, were just turning a blind eye to what was happening, and not doing anything to stop it. Sure, Marcel was pretty conceited, but that was no reason for everyone else to create a constantly hostile environment for him.
no wonder her name is Karen 1:41
if you watch the full episode, you'll see that her response was very tame and professional. giselle didn't contribute anything substantial to the dish and wanted to put the blame on karen so she could be safe. also, it's obvious she then shifted the focus to phillip when she realized she couldn't convince the judges that karen's the only one in the wrong.
"You know what we're not judging your behavior in the kitchen, we're judging your food. I really don't care what happens in there, tell you the truth." Is Tom toxic?
Have you seen season 2?? Trust me, you'll understand Tom's reaction then.
@@frankieseward8667 Have you read about Gabe Erales? Tom should care about what happens in the kitchen.
Tom wanted to fire all of them with the exception of Marcel. But Production told Tom, “we have a show to produce and need a winner.” So Cliff took the heat because he would have been fired in any workplace for putting hands on someone.
Fabio getting put in his place.
Fabio couldn't take Criticism......
@@eduardocastillo1489 Humility is a respectable trait and Fabio had none. That’s why I love what Eric Ripert said about learning from Richard Blais. Eric said “you never stop learning, the day you stop learning you’re dead.”
These tv shows missed the point and purpose of the creation of food.
"I don't care what happens in the kitchen." Okay, then why are you a judge on a competition if you have no integrity? Nonsensical.
You're taking that statement entirely out of context.
