Thank you for speaking out about mental health. I found your brilliant channel when you did your video on the spa valley railway which I volunteer on and I really enjoyed at time of release. Since then I have watched all of your another station another mile videos throughout the first lockdown and loved them all you are hands down my favourite RUclips channel and you deserve every subscriber you get. 2020 has been bad for all of us. However your videos have helped me discovered another side of the UK I didn’t know existed and it inspires me to travel to the UK even more when I can. Hope you have a great 2021

Never mind getting things done. Once you enjoy it, you'll do it. :) You at least talk to the camera...I have been planning some kind of report of my trip by train (and ferry plus the odd coach) I did back in September 2019, but then all the "when do I have the time for this" and PDS happened. You, sir, are a delightful person. I just came across your channel today, as I’m on a train video binge now that I’m off work for a week. It’s been a rough couple of days inside my own head since I haven’t been able to get up and do anything except watch videos. Finding yours has been...really rather amazing. Seeing what I’ve seen here and browsing through your twitter earlier - Man, I’m not alone. It’s insane how alike we are. Trains, motor racing (props in the numerous Russell and Ingram outfits I’ve seen so far), really similar mental health quirks, plus I’m somewhat familiar with your home area as a dear friend of mine isn’t too far from you. Such a small world with such phenomenally like-minded people. You’re a gem, mate. Greetings from across the pond in Cincinnati, OH and I hope this comment finds you well. atm with the news that my local area Berkshire is now tier 3 from tomorow which has been messing my head round for the last 2 days and the media trying to scare us during the last week atm im trying to keep myself in control but doind what makes me happy by using putting myself in my happy place also for next year im trying to give myself positive things to look foreward to like an extended holiday to Lancashire in sept/oct which other vloggers are giving me more inspiration with their vloggs in the north also i want to do Newcastle in may which i failed to do this year hopefully 2021 will be a better year for everyone and well done for fighting thru this awful year

It's fun this tier thing im now in tier 3 yet if I walk half a mile I'm in tier 2 or if I hop on a boat i can end up in tier 1 on the isle of wight

your like me im in west berkshire which is now tier 3 to enter tier 2 all i need to do is get a bus south into basingstoke or andover than im in tier 2 to the north is oxfordshire which is tier 2 also wiltshire which is tier 2 its going to be a fun few month not

I totally identify. I am a carer and I am pretty much at burn out stage now. Covid has brought a whole host of complications to the job and I can't even relax after work with a well earned pint anymore. Oh well, you know I support you and I really hope you are in a better place mentally because we are all in this together and lets hope 2021 IS a better year 🚂😊

2020 hasn't really been a great year to us and I do agree, back to the 23rd March 2020 was one of my worst days ever, it was the day that I decided I have to give up what I love doing and I will admit, the hardest thing I ever did, 26th March a few days later, my remember being at work because I was a keyworker and I was in the back and just folded my head into my hands and wonder how the hell am I going to cope with this but a few weeks later, it coped well, I'd adapted to it. Bu I remember walking empty streets in Stafford just to catch my bus, remember buses being emptied and I was the only one travelling but back then it was scary but there was this moment in August when I was on the trains and just started panicking in my mind, more worried and was wearing a face covering at the time and wanted to take it off, even know I couldn't but after thinking what caused it and did a anxiety test online and came back you may have a anxiety disorder but seriously and honestly you just answered a question that I have been thinking a while back which was how in the hell did you get so many subscribers in a very short of time and it is a wonderful thing that Geoff did that being honest, it is great to hear that you're feeling great and looking forward to your new content coming soon.
Oh thank you! I can imagine that had to be so tough, and its been difficult for me too. Travelling and creating is such a big part of our lives and something we love doing, right? So its natural we're going to struggle when thats taken away for a prolonged period of time. And Im glad that you were able to get an answer and figure out your anxiety disorder - its really powerful to figure out how your brain works and how to cope with and solve these things.
And yeah, I owe Geoff a drink at the very least 😆

Total opposite, work, work that was my summer for me, could not get out on train and get miles under me. Bad time for all of us, but I had a plan, in the attic to the model railway, which I hadn't touched for about 8 years. And my god, did it help. The jobs need to get it running again.
So you always need a back up plan in life.

Looking back I should've just piled my energies into that - and it's what I'm planning to do in the new year, just assume lockdown is continuing indefinitely and plan accordingly. Agreed, but then again, video classes and Zoom calls exist. It's gotta still be possible to have classes while shutting down for a few months - and it probably wouldn't end up being an entire year if the pandemic spread drops as rapidly as it did before? And thank you ^_^
A little pre Christmas AJ, what could be better. Did i spot Roy of the Rovers on your bookshelf. You express how we are all feeling so well and i love your honesty around were you are at. Being a slough resident, have been a tier 3, with tier 2 10 minutes in each direction. It's been a mad few weeks/months.... I feel for you.

Saw someone selling them on Facebook/eBay, turns out he wasn't that far away from me and was regularly picking up parts from old and scrapped HST sets and coaches, including lots of seats!
I can relate the anxiousness of lots amount of cases, I live in Medway and there is increasing amount of cases in the areas and it is now the 3rd worst affected area in Uk and 1st Affected area in south east England
Oh gosh, I used to live in the Medway area when I was little so I know it very well. I hope things smooth out as soon as possible for you there!
