This is such a perfect idea for these stressful times. Grannies to cheer us up, distract us from the news, and can be made with whatever stash we have on hand. So smart! 💖
Granny squares are always there for us! The UK may be in some form of lock down for around 6 months. All of a sudden I can actually see myself working through my stash and making a huge reduction in the yarn tower 😲. Wow. Stay safe and happy making 💖

You have inspired me to pick up my crochet hook again. I am a knitter and (apart from socks) knit exclusively for charity. Once the COVID 19 pandemic dies down, so many more donated items than ever are going to be needed by people who are in a bad way financially, here and overseas. I am going to make a granny blanket to add to the things I am making. Jinny x

Granny squares blanket are my favorite type of crochet blanket. It's a small project and a big project. Its easy to travel with. You can leave the squares that are allready join at home and bring yarn to make another square. Right now I'm working on a 3d rose granny square blanket for my new baby niece. They are naming her Eden Rose. I'm also stash busting too, by going through the book called "The Ultimate Granny Square Sourcebook" every week I going to make one granny square out of the book. When I get though the book I'll 100 different squares that I will keep for a reference for deciding which pattern to use for the next project. I'm only doing one, because I got a lot of projects to finish. The baby blanket is high priority right now. When that's finish, then I'll make more out of the book.

Thank you for sharing all your beautiful creations I honestly haven't done much with granny squares over the last probably 4or5 years but have jumped on board with your granny square challenge and am zooming through a stack of 6 rounded granny's using up my stash now I just need to learn how to do the continuous join as you go 😉

I love what you make great crafts, keep up with the great crafts, i dont know about london as i left there 17 years prays be now in eastsussex here crochet and knitting every age dose it it going mad jumpers and cardigains in the ganny squares i love it i lovely funky that is what it is. I love the ideal of using granny squares to calm while this is going on. However, I already have Granny Stripe as a wip, so I will just add 2 rows each day. It's the width of a US full size bed so rather wide. Your work is so inspiring!!
Granny stripe totally counts as it’s basically the same. I hope it brings you lots of peace. If you commit to two rows a day it will soon build up and be done 👌🏽💖
