    This comment I'll write in English, so everyone will understand. It's about another secret ingredient. I use a acrylic varnish diluted 50/50 with water. Use them before sanding, it will glue all fibers together and make your job much easier. It's very useful when leather is softer than you need. Next operations do it as is in this video. Cheers!

    In terms of edge to surface color uniformity, have you tried to dye the edges the same color as the leather?

    • @PirateGoods
      @PirateGoods  18 дней назад

      Thanks so much😊 Yeah, several times I’ve tried to match the color, but I’m not enjoying the final result aesthetically. I’ve found that the best result is with a bit different tone to have some contrast and also if you have contrast thread, the best way is to match edges with thread. So for example we have light brown color of leather, we sewed it with dark brown thread and the best color for edges is also dark brown. In this case the result will be more enjoyable from aesthetic perspective.

    salut , effectivement tes tranches sont parfaitement réussi , est je vais t'apporter une petite infos supplémentaire si tu le permet , je suis cordonnier traditionnel et j'ai la chance d'avoir mon atelier à 5 mn de chez Avel (Saphir) la maison mère et usine de production et je n'utilise que leurs produits , je connais donc quasiment toute la gamme de chez eux et pour faire les tranches mais bien d'autres choses encore je prends le produit nommé le CANADIAN , il existe dans toute une gamme de couleurs c'est un recolorant et surtout qui possède un fixateur permettant de recolorer n'importe quel support blouson sacs siège de voiture , il se présente en tube et est très économique !!!
    je te conseil de l'essayer au moins une fois car contrairement au nombreux """cirages""" n'a aucun risque de déteindre ou de disparaître avec des frottement répétitifs , en tout cas bien moins vite que le médaille d'or ou la pâte de luxe de chez eux !! qui certes sont d'excellent produits mais que je réserve davantage pour les chaussure et en particulier pour les glaçage !!!! bonne journée
