Agree with you on those shelves. I recently had the experience when I put something back and it jumped off. It must be the way it settles on the rungs but it shocked me. Shattered in a million pieces too! If all the goodwills would just line the shelves with matting, things would be much more stable and less likely to get damaged.

Good pointer on the Federal Glass makers mark. Their atomic nesting mixing bowls are incredible if anyone ever runs across them. They sell for hundreds

Now I have an obsession with swung vases and Fenton lamps…. I probably own too many of both 😂 I’ve also been selling it to and my biggest sales are glass pieces. A few weeks ago I sold an Orrefors vase for $850 and the next week a Lotton perfume bottle for $850 I’m also loving Burmese glass, it’s just so pretty 😍
It is so funny to me to have discovered recently that real bone dishes exist. When I was growing up, my mother just put one extra bowl or plate on the table that we all used - 7 of us so it got pretty full! Now I wonder if she encountered the real dishes when she was growing up. I doubt that her family would have had them because it was during the Depression and there were 17 kids.
I hate those shelves too and I don't even have them in my life! (in Australia) So much cute stuff today, packed shelves! I remember those shard boxes being huge in the early 2ks, fancy gift shops had lots of them along with pendants and rings.
fyi , when we get a fresh cart here in NC, it’s a GW worker wheeling a single buggy out and putting stuff on shelves and we aren’t allowed to look thru buggy, only can grab item AFTER they put on shelf. so everyone’s standing around eyeballing the same things 😂
You missed three Blue Ridge China plates worth about $40 each. Had ivy on them. @10:38. Looks like the whole stack may have been blue ridge. I have collected these before. It takes an eye to spot them. Do some research. They are very popular!
The red bowl looks like Chalet Glass with the simpler lines. Chalet was founded by an expat from Murano so that makes it confusing also. F&F depends on the country of origin much like Lenox, no China.
