To answer your question, Guysack is both an old and new design. This Kotobukiya HMM Zoid is a brand new kit that hasn't been released before. However, this is Kotobukiya's re-interpretation of a design which goes way back to the original motorized kits of the 1980s. Guysack is the name in the original Japanese line, but when I was a kid collecting the European releases it was called Scorpozoid. In North America, it was released in the Robo Strux line under the name Stang, and later in Technozoids as Evil Scorpion. It walked with a windup motor using a basically identical mechanism to Gurantula/Spiderzoid. The two different optional cockpit types, and varying weapons which could be mounted on the tail and elsewhere, were part of the original motorized kit as well. The cockpits and extra weapons were shared with Godos/Trooperzoid which has also had an HMM version from Kotobukiya.
Oh cool! Thank you for the answer to that! I think I had one of the motorized kits back in the day actually! And I do have a Godos in my backlog as well!
