Those little side arms are on a sliding joint. If you pull them out fully then you can fully rotate the arms. Yes this is the coolest model kit I ever built. It is not just a hollow piece of plastic but with an internal mechanical frame hence why I love the Marutoys. Cant wait to see what Marutoys comes out with next. Those flying robots I am anticipating next.
the Mamoru reminds me of Baymax from Big Hero 6 but has a solid body as opposed to the body being made of a balloon-like material in the Disney movie version, lol.
I like the more civilian type of robots, I like the world building too. gotta try one of these kits
