ETID manages to sound so uniquely themselves, but also manages to evolve at the same time. I know that the members of the band have gone through some shit to arrive at this place, and I'm sorry they've gone through it - but, their experiences are why this album and this band are so fucking special to me and so many others. I live in Virginia, but - Give my love to Buffalo, Buffalo.
Couldn’t agree more on both this album being their best and also that the big dirty was previously my favorite. His sarcastic/contrite lyrics seem to cut even deeper on this album, the break neck pace and ability to slow it up and provide uneven breakdowns blows my mind. What a great Fucking band!
@@richardgrinnan3846 For real, the album doesn't give you a break - just jam after jam after jam, and breakdown after breakdown. Me too Daniela. Me too. Xx
Couldn’t agree more. They touched a part of me that opened a cataclysm of emotions that I can only explain as a “total feeling experience”
In a long dark night of eternal light…This line encapsulates perfectly the beauty of death and remembrance.
why the hell do i get to know this band until today???
This Song is a Masterpiece!!!! I've heard it 10 times and have only known the band for a few hours!!!
Every record is different, Hot Damn! used to be my favorite but From Parts Unknown keeps growing on me
Oh man you're in for a treat they're the most consistent band I've ever found been a fan for almost 10 years and have gotten to see em live with a friend that passed away not long ago and talked to jordan after the show its one of my most ever lasting memories I hold dear time of my life
woke up, video released, album released. today is a good day
thank you very much, its been a pleasure spending the day with you.
“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
it's a poem by emily dickinson, published posthumously in 1891.
I'd always assumed it was taken from the book title 'Grief Is The Thing With Feathers' by Max Porter
I had the same thoughts about this song.
Such a cool song, it's a nice change of pace on the full album
You can tell she really has been a light in the dark. Heart wrenching song.
I actually though the first vocals was Maynard from Tool, shot in LA, great vocals and melody. This band is responsible for me being alive today. Keith’s words and writing is well amazing and inspirational and makes you think
Same!!! I was like whaaaaa?
Close, Pete Loeffler from Chevelle. xd
I think at first it sounded like Dallas Green with a newer Incubus sounding chorus, All while sounding like ETID somehow lol
@@joshviggiani9844 We need an ETID/Chevelle tour ASAP.
It’s Andy Hull from Manchester Orchestra, an equally amazing band in a completely different genre.
If this is the absolute last new every time I die song I get to hear. I'm ok with that. Jesus this is a masterpiece. Thank you guys for the years of amazing music.
I listened to the album and I think it is the best that the band has made, a return to origins but with a new power.
Great ETIDs, thanks
Love Andy hull doing the top notch thing on this. Chills every time
i love this band! keith's lyrics are amazing
this and White Void are my fav songs off the album even tho every song is amazing!!! this is almost album of the year for me !!!
This song, with every listen, pulls every emotion I've repressed out of me and makes me feel every single one at the same time. Every Time I Cry
What's done is done. I'll cherish all the great sounds ETID has created. And that's a lot of it!
It's pretty amazing how these guys consistently release a better album each time, been a fan since Gutter Phenomenon and Radical is, in my opiniom, their best one yet
This song is beautiful and heart breaking. What a lovely way to honor Keith and Jordan's late sister.
this one hurts extra tonight. nothing but love for keith and the boys
This brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before... Pfff, I don't know how to recover from this.
ETID manages to sound so uniquely themselves, but also manages to evolve at the same time. The Big Dirty has always been my favorite ETID album, but I honestly think this album has now passed it for me.
Keith's lyrics have worried me for more than a decade; this album even more so than the last albums...but fuck, that's why I love this band. They are pure chaos and I'm living vicariously through Keith Buckley's everlasting existential breakdown.
This one is something special.
I was sleeping on this song. I'm wide awake on it now.
So sad to hear these guys break up. Loved your music! I'm crushed
The reigning champs! What songwriters
Damn i miss you guys damn much. Even though you never performed in Malaysia but ETID has changed my life and probably saved me from my depressions countless times. Hands down the most relevant and the only band i followed since high school.
I came here as a fan of the Butcher. I was not expecting this genre or sound from the band. I loved it and can’t wait to listen to more
I have lost a brother and a wife so I can really relate to this. Thank for such a beautiful tribute
the only band that can be amazingly brutal with "planet sh*t" and amazingly amazing with this, on the same album.
Haunting and uplifting all in one fell swoop. Absolutely marvelous song and album.
This song is absolutely beautiful! Such an original and unique sound, I want more!! 💯❤
I love these dudes. Saw them in 03 and have been a fan ever since. This was a beautiful tribute
little Mars Volta vibe in the first verse, diggin it!
Thanks for the memories gents! All the best in the future endeavours!
This is there most Radiohead I've ever heard ETID. LOVE IT. love the meaning of the song. Love the video. Love these boys.
