    I bought all 7 MAG Bars 3 years ago. I use them 3X a week. They look as good as the day I got them. To me it's a no 🧠 brainer. You wanna ride in a Cadillac, or ride in a Chevette? You'll only live once, but you'll be dead a long time. Splurge!! Your worth it!! 🤣😆 Ps,as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for!!

    Thanks for the very honest review mate! I`ve been pondering these for a while for my home gym, they weren`t a thing the last time i trained at a commercial gym so i was very intrigued by the odd looks of them and seeing them pop up everywhere for sale (usually the knock offs!) You`ve certainly given me food for thought, so thank you!

      Like I said they are better and you don’t need all 7. Start with the mid/larger ones and go from there. Close grip felt the least benefit in my opinion.

    I must say that was a very thorough review. I have a set of the knock-off and use them regularly. The Mag Grips are quality equipment and the angles on the grips are tops. When I was looking for different lat handle attachments cost was a factor. So I ended up buying Prime Fitness’s RO-T8 4 in 1 for $185.00 at that time and the knock-offs for $100.00.
    Great review and look forward for more comparisons of equipment.

    I bought 3 of the mags. I bought the medium pronate, medium supinate, and the small supinate. Love them all use them every single back day for pulldowns, and rows. They alleviate the stress on my shoulders, and elbows. I will never ever use another straight bar for lat pulldowns again. Even the neutral grip knockoffs are 100% ergonomically better than a straight lat bar For your shoulders, wrist, and elbows. Over time the straight bar will cause a lot of wear, and tear on the joints. Any cheap neutral grip chrome lat bar will do the same thing as the knockoffs. What makes the mags special are the angles on the pronate , and supinate grips . If you decide to get the mag try the medium pronate first, or medium supinate. Mag makes 3 neutral grip version ( small, medium, large) no need to get any of them. like i mentioned before any cheap neutral grip chrome lat bar will put you in the same position as any of the mag neutrals.

    Thanks for the review. That must have been tough doing so many sets while still recovering from being sick. Greatly appreciate it. I like the final suggestion to buy the longest piece from Mag then work down. I would suggest measuring the hand distance when arms are fully retracted in a pulldown position and a row position. Those lengths would be the next ones to purchase.

Just to add to the mix, here in the UK from MIRAFIT, I purchased their Gym Cable Machine Attachment Set - 5 Handles, which bare a striking resemblance to the knock off set but with the exception they do have the slanted or pronated grip angles on all 5 handles!. Excellent build quality and feel as well as great value at £149.95 and £4.95 postage!.

    The knockoffs in Canada are about the same price that you pay for the real Mag version in USA...
    So, for now, I only got the ''neutral'' medium cheap knockoff version, and I immediately put a shackle through it. It really helps as you clip the carabiner to this instead of that cheap grommet. It's a good attachment, but I can't compare yet with the real thing as I never saw one...!

    I use to own the Medium Grip knockoff which was 65$ Canadian and free shippin from Amazon and to be honest it worked amazing, It was so good that many other gym members also got them. Unfortunately I lost them.

    I'm a member at the biggest european gym chain called "McFit". Their German gyms recently started to roll out mag-grip knock offs and they are literally unusable after a few months in a public gym. The whole plastic outer layer is ripped off and the metal interior of the grips starts to splinter. So longevity of the knock offs is definitely not there if they get used heavily. Not sure how real mag-grips would fare but I'm definitely sticking to the old school handels - they are doing their job just fine and are actually able to survive years and years even in a cheap public gym.

      The narrow ones I prefer the traditional style grips. Check out Steadfast Lifting they have a couple

    • @jflhr
      @jflhr Год назад +1

      I would recomend to work with a supinated grip, either with regular bar, narrow mag attachment or what ever you have, since de supinated grip gives you a little bit more range of motion but there is a little of technique to target more "lower lats". When you do the pull instead of going to the center of your back, go more to the pockets of your pants. Keep a neutral spine and pull down your shoulder blades, that will make you pull mostly with your lats and back muscles instead of using lot of biceps, or upper back muscles but you will target all the posterior muscles anyways. I would recommend you to watch Jonni Shreve and hypertrophy coach; they both make great content and have lots of knowledge and they explain the proper technique of basically every exercise.
