I remember listening to the congregation sing Farther Along( a capella) in the little one room Baptist Church on top of the mountain in Leslie County KY when I was a child.
Sierra Hull is so much more than a prodigy musician. She is of course a prodigy but also a gifted vocalist. All of these ladies are incredibly talented
My deepest admiration and respect for these lovely young women for presenting this beautiful rendition. It gives me a hope and reassurance that there are young people still reverent and respectful of our american root musical traditions and beliefs of the faith of our fathets and elders.
It is unusual for Molly and Sierra to sing without their instruments, but it has a very good atmosphere. The very beautiful number of Glen Campbell is blessed by the beautiful singer.
Agreed, she’s amazing. Thanks for not letting your aversion to religion ruin your appreciation for a wonderful performance. I wish more folks were able to do that
This is a real Gem. Three of my favorites. Sierra and Molly are getting their due now but Courtney Hartman is still very underrated. She released an Album with Robert Ellis covering some John Hartman Songs that is on my frequent playlist. ruclips.net/video/sGOAcAcy4xw/видео.html
Love this. But this gospel song is traditional, let's not associate it too strongly with Glen Campbell alone. BTW, it's wonderful to know young folks are keeping this music alive and fresh.
Thanks for the comment David. It's a wonderful tribute to Glen Campbell by these ladies and I believe they chose this particular traditional gospel song because it represented their emotions and feelings regarding the recent news. What a great treat to see three instrumental virtuosos singing beautiful harmony with one guitar accompaniment. Very unique opportunity to experience in a small and intimate setting. Thanks for watching.
Yes, but from comments I'd seen on this post, it seemed there was a danger of this song being thought of as a Glen Campbell song, as happened with John Hartford's "Gentle on My Mind."
Two of the most accomplished instrumentalists of our time are here with only their voices.
Changed my whole day, these beautiful souls.
This three beautiful ladies sings amazing. Great feeling and harmony.
Wow ladies! Need this in Green Mountain NC!
Three of the most talented young ladies making music today.
One of my favorite old-time songs.
I remember listening to the congregation sing Farther Along( a capella) in the little one room Baptist Church on top of the mountain in Leslie County KY when I was a child.
Mercy. It's been a minute since I sang this with my gramma. Bless you ladies and rest always, Glen.
Thank you, Glen Campbell. I'll never forget you.
Three monster talents right there. Way to go ladies.
what a beautiful harmony...
Three of my favorites. Courtney Hartman is very under-appreciated. Quite the Singer/Songwriter and Guitarist in her own right.
Harmony, so beautiful I didn't even want to breathe while listening
Awesome, very sincere.
Sierra Hull is so much more than a prodigy musician. She is of course a prodigy but also a gifted vocalist. All of these ladies are incredibly talented
some of the most beautiful harmonies you could ask for. They can walk me to the pearly gates when the time comes.
Sweet Lord! Sierra Hull....i think you're incredible

My deepest admiration and respect for these lovely young women for presenting this beautiful rendition. It gives me a hope and reassurance that there are young people still reverent and respectful of our american root musical traditions and beliefs of the faith of our fathets and elders.

Give Molly the guitar. Good job ladies, may God bless,
Courtney is plenty handy with a guitar, but they don't need that for this.
I would really like to see more of this show you had some great ladies there.
It was a really great group of ladies that year! All world class instructors, musicians and people.

Molly is sooooooooo daggone CUTE!
amen!!
Please, I want you three to sing this at my Wake. I have female artist coming out of my ears and it’s about time ❤️
Three masters of their instruments and a nice rendition! Not sure why the description speaks of this performance as a tribute to Glenn Campbell.
Because it was for him it was right after his death, and he was a good christian despite some of his struggles with substances.he would have loved it.
@@mbsnydercthank you, I also wondered.
¡ I LIKE IT LIKE IT !
Nicely done! I'm a little thrown off with Sierra and Molly instrument-less but they did a wonderful job. Rest in peace Glen.

Anyone who gives a thumbs down for this song has something very wrong with them.
Nice...:)
The future of cool...
I'm not religious in any way but this was nice, of course I'd listen to Molly sing the phonebook.
Same here!
Agreed, she’s amazing. Thanks for not letting your aversion to religion ruin your appreciation for a wonderful performance. I wish more folks were able to do that

Glen was know to be a christian and it is tradition to sing such songs to honor the dead glen or not.i hear such songs at every funeral i go to.
I thought, "Like nobody plays bluegrass on an archtop," and, whatdoyouknow, I was wrong.
Molly needed a guitar to hold....
😍IT'S DIFFICULT NOT TO NOTICE , BUT SIERRA'S LOVELY HIPS STEAL THE SHOW !
