Rand, I redid this post after I had more time to take in your review points compared to the large number of other reviewers I just read. Your review gave me what I should expect now for gameplay with total clarity with no trolling aspect whatsoever. @@BiGG_X I’m talking about any “reviewer” that is explicitly in favor of one particular platform like he is. He is a die hard xbox fan so he can never be trusted to provide an unbiased opinion unlike other reviewers who don’t tie themselves down to 1 brand
Thanks so much Rand. This was the review I needed. I got so much more from this review than from the reviews of the big outles. As Always - the video is on point! Maybe it's because we are around the same age, but I often agree to your takes and I have a similar approach to how I play games and what I expect from them.

I have liked your review most compaired to a couple other tubers, thank you Rand. You're the only one who did side missions, then gave your review. Side missions are all the personality of the game, and winning new loot that your neighbor down the street didnt find, main story quests don't excite me, cause we are all going to play that, even if it's fantastic I didn't discover it. Adventure, discovery, uniqueness to me is what I want.
Rand, I know sometimes you're not sure about your videos, and especially doing a review. But I can tell you that this review was superb. No big words, no technical performance spec mumbo jumbo. Just truth and facts about your experience, and what you feel the people need to know. Keep it up Rand!

Nice honest review rand. Agree with most of your points. Have to give the game room to open up and some might not be able to wait. I have the game on pc and xbox series x and the game must use direct storage on pc as loading is sometimes instant . This probly would of benefitted from the ps5s ssd. The xbox series x does make up for it with quick resume when jumping back in which is fantastic.

Supposedly there are a lot of quests you only get by exploring, finding documents, overhearing conversations. Strange to not explore a bit, but to each their own.

Thank you Rand for all the videos and podcasts. This game is my frist time playing a game from Bethesda and, I am enjoying a lot but, I had to stop as other games and life happens, when I get back into it I will carry on the enjoyment of this ginormous game.

Regarding exploration, I think people forgot that this was supposed to be fairly realistic. Space is so spread out that there’s no way you could travel to Mars or the Moon in a realistic game. Just my thoughts!

Awesome breakdown rand ....a slow start is never an issue for me....I've gone thru the RDR2 4 times and everyone knows how slow that game gets goin with the snowy beginning
rdr2 has been the best game ever made period!!! Bethesda can never reach that level !! RDR2 is not boring, even for a single minute!
I tried getting into RDR2 probably 4 or 5 times and just could never get into it. If they ever do a next gen patch (probably not) I may give it another shot.
I debate offing myself everytime I restart rdr2 lol that intro was great the first time (for me, everyone is different)

Supra et ultra!! The uc vanguard quest also did it for me. At that point i couldn't get enough and started doing every quest and activity. Now im lost on a planet building a massive base.
Man for those who have yet to play, Rand was spot on from the kinda boring start to the frames issue I mean spot on.

I think people need to remember the 3 min load times for Skyrim on the PS3 and Xbox 360. A few seconds of loading is nothing.
Hopefully they reduce those load screens
Sounds like some of the negativity stems from people assuming Starfield was something that it wasn't.
Wasn't it advertised as Skyrim in space?

@@jgg6932 a game being played for a long time isn’t what makes it the game of the generation. If that were the case then that would be CS GO every year. A game of the generation needs to be so incredibly polished and well made that it stands above every other game out there. Starfield doesn’t do that
Overall it doesn't sound like Starfield will necessarily be "better" than BG3. However, Starfield is definitely more my type of game. Can't wait to play it for myself
