And here is a little nugget. Billy Howardel, co founder and guitarist, was a guitar tech for Tool.

by APC those songs are just absolute perfection! You should definitely look into those as well!
But after APC you should definitely look at
The humbling river by puscifer!
The Thirteenth Step album is still hands down one of my favorite albums ever created, by any artist. Start to finish, it is a masterpiece IMO.
I was actually brought to your channel by Stray Kids (haven't watched it yet) but I like to see what else a content creator has done and if it'll interest me, and here I am haha. For context; I am a 44 female, mostly love alternative/nu-metal/grunge. The last concert I went to was Stray Kids in 2023 (excellent show) and my previous concert was "A Perfect Circle" in 2018 (also an excellent show!). I love how these two worlds (rock/kpop) often collide. Excited to watch this video and learn more about you through music.
Hi Tristana! Thanks for watching the videos... I think it's very generous to call me a "content creator" since I have no idea what I'm doing -- besides hoping to find some good, new music.
For context, my last two live shows were the current Metallica tour and Tool about a year ago.
@@tonystocco I apologize in advance for all of my long rants lol. I do love me some Tool, but am more partial to APC or Puscifer. My biggest musical influences are probably Pearl Jam, HURT, NIN, Sarah McLachlan, APC and SKZ (Stray Kids) haha. My first concert was Blue Oyster Cult when I was a kid with my mom. First concert I ever paid for was Creed (no regrets) but I've seen everyone from Korn, Evanescence, Staind, Shinedown, Nickelback, Disturbed etc etc). I was born in 1980. Honestly, I think I've been spoiled lol.
If you are making 'content' then you are in fact a 'content creator'. This is the real joy for us (the fans). Watching people try things they didn't know before. And enlightening them with our broad knowledge... or trying to at least. I saw you crack a smile a few times on your SKZ ATE reaction... it's those pure moments of joy that allows us (the fans) a feeling oh 'yea... he gets it'. I am happily subbed!!
@@Tristana.Keauna Thanks Tristana. Since we're all sharing, my first concert I paid for was Oasis.
Sooooo GOOD !! One of the greatest albums ever created, it's just so 'Alive' and full of emotion!
As a fellow Tool enthusiast, who listens to them daily as well, you sir are in for a treat!
What you'll find out is how much you missed out on because you won't believe how brilliant every song/album is!!😊
Your comment about expecting a more mellow sound is interesting, because one of my favorite things about APC is their range. You get heavy songs like this, Judith, Pet, etc. but they've also produced some of the most hauntingly beautiful and melodic songs I've ever heard. For songs more on that end of the spectrum, I'd suggest Gravity, The Noose, Breña, and Orestes.
Hey Kurt - Their range is obvious after hearing Pet and The Outsider. I love their 3 Libras live recording on Jay Leno (it's on RUclips) and assumed their records would be more of that style. I'm even more excited to hear the rest of their tracks.
@@tonystocco "Pet" is one of my favorites, though "Orestes" beats it out. There is a video of them live called Stone and Echo - live at Red Rocks, just truly showcases them all wonderfully.
Feathers off the newest album Eat the Elephant is a banger. 🎉
This is a concept album. You should have started at the beginning.
Yeah I thought that was the deal. I'll go back to track one... are all of their albums organized that way?
@@tonystocco The first album I would say no, or if there is an overarcing story, I don't really know it. Def yes for this one. The following seem to follow a 'theme' but I would say 13th Step is best in just overall storytelling.
This is the heaviest song on the album. Not a lot of “angry Maynard” in APC or Puscifer.
Puscifer smoke and mirrors
I'll check it out after APC. Thanks!
