Having roots in different countries can both be a curse and a blessing. Being able to pick out the reality of living in both countries and having a good laugh about it is a true testament of resilience and will help you power through life as a world citizen.
Its a diplomatic blessing but its a social curse. I was born and raised in the Netherlands. But my roots are marocco. You feel out of place in both places. People always see you as an "outsider" no matter where you are.

In 2024 we need to stop bashing Africa (continent) as if it's synonymous for corruption. There's corruption everywhere, no country is immune. Instead of joking about how poor and behind Africa is, it will be wise to also shed light on its beauty.
This joke literally implies there is corruption even in the countries that accuse Nigeria.
It's true that corruption exists everywhere but places like Nigeria is literally notorious for being one of the most corrupt nations on earth. While I see what you mean, it doesn't change the fact that corruption is the reason for many of not just Nigeria's shortcomings, but the UKs and several other countries too. There's several good things to every country but we ain't close to where we'd like to be so it's equally important to attempt to shed light at issues and satirical jokes is a good way of raising awareness
