OMG (A STORY) suffice to say I purchased an hermes jypsiere when they first came out and I absolutely found it cumbersome and unworkable. I want to sell it and I feel ģuilty. My advice...don't go for the jyspiere...resist, desist and walk away...😢😊

Can I make a suggestion? It appears you're buying some items (parka & trainers) merely because they're designer. I suggest buying items only from designers or brands that have an expertise in that product. True, it's not as exiting to buy a Conmigo thermal cup vs. a YSL cup, but YSL isn't an expert in thermal cups. It's fine to have a love of designer items (I do), but a lot of designers create products outside their expertise maybe to reach a wider audience, who knows. For instance, your Fendi Parka was of poor quality. If you can't get a zipper right on a coat meant for frigid weather, then it doesn't matter how great the material is or how it looks if you're going to be frozen solid on the slopes if your zipper doesn't work. It's better to buy products by a brand with an expertise in that product (Patagonia, Canada Goose, Columbia, etc.) or to get trainers from companies focusing on creating trainers, not stilettos. For performance products requiring a lot of use, it doesn't make sense to spend on a designer item.

You’re definitely on to something and I’m becoming much more aware of which brands do which products best. The Fendi zipper is because it reverses so it can be used both ways but yes - it’s not really okay at these price points.
For the prices of these items, you'd think the designers would have thought things out a bit more (i.e. the wallet from Celine costs more than an Apple laptop yet it lacks card holder slots and you'd have to fight with the other cards to get a card out?). C'mon, for that price it shouldn't' have such basic issues. Sigh...
Personally, I would say that Celine’s wallet are worth the money. I have the CARD HOLDER WITH FLAP TRIOMPHE IN SHINY CALFSKIN and it can fit more than 10 cards even with keys and money inside. Though it only has one slot on the front part, it can fit 2 cards and taking it out is pretty easy. So if you’re interested, I would recommend it a lot especially for the price that I paid.
Weight is always important for me. I learned the hard way with bags and shoes, just like you. I also stay away from bags that are too complex to close. Had one, left it open and my wallet got stolen. I like to close the bag but it has to be easy.
I agree on both weight and being able to close the bag. Especially if using public transport, being on the go a lot. I see so many beautiful bags that I end up not buying because they are already heavy when empty or do not close well and I am worries about theft. Especially with more summery bags or totes.
I’ve lived in London, New York & Toronto and noticed big differences in how people wear outerwear. New York can be very cold in the winter, especially with the wind tunnels in Manhattan. It’s a walking city, so warm coats, hats, scarves & mitts are popular. Toronto is even colder and can be very damp, but it’s more of a driving city, so you can get away with less if you have a car, though Torontonians love their big puffers! London is so mild in relation, and people seem to commute primarily by tube & cab, that I knew people who didn’t even own coats! The Fendi puffer would get a lot of use in New York & Toronto!

Totally agree with you about the Celine compact wallet. I’ve got the small triomphe wallet in textile and calfskin and I love the way it looks but it’s not practical. I need more card slots and the cards always get stuck. The practicality of the design is ☹️ I’ve gone back to my LV empreinte Victorine. For me the Victorine is the perfect compact wallet.

Thanks for the video! my cousin has helped to purchase the Celine Wallet and I have not used it yet .After watching your video, noticed that the wallet is smaller plus the compartments weren’t that user friendly and the price was higher compared to their usual Celine Wallet. Did have abit of regrets though…
The Chanel bag is beautiful! I wouldn't let its scars put me off at all. In fact, you can wear it without worry since it is already wonderfully broken in!

I personally have the bouncing sneakers and they are the most most comfortable luxury sneakers I’ve ever owned (vs GUCCI / CHANEL / DIOR), no rubs absolutely anywhere from day 1, and could wear 10 hours straight outside without any issues! Highly recommend them
I have similar issue with a pair of sneakers (not Hermes! 😂) that are slightly too small for me. I loosen off the laces at the toe end quite a bit and that makes them wider across the toes and a lot more comfortable. I hope this helps Steph.

I’d love to recommend the LV Slim Purse M80348 for a compact wallet for you! I LOVE mine! They don’t list it as compact but it is nice and slim, holds a lot, and your bills won’t get caught in the zipper! Love, love, love!!!

The Hermès Bounce sneakers are very comfortable. When I go shopping for hours I always go for my Bounce sneakers. Last weekend we went to an amusement park with the kids and I had them on for at least 8 hours. I think the Day sneakers are less comfortable because of the leather that is a bit more rigide.
I do understand the practicality point but in the thriomphe wallet the reason why the cards are facing eachother in the middle of the wallet is for security reasons. Even if the leather stretches the cards are safer. The total of 5 slots is really few.
Yes, those ceramic mugs are a menace! They are HOT to hold when filled with coffee. You get to burn your hand when holding it and then burn your chin or chest when that stupid silicone lid loosens and dumps the coffee on you.
My most functional card holder is not luxury...it's Longchamp. 6 card slots, 3 on each side. Leather but nylon lined. Because it's not leather lined, it's very flexible. I can fit 6 cards and also put bills in the center.
I have the longchamp Roseau small wallet, which is very similar but all leather. It’s absolutely fantastic. I used it everyday and even after 3 years it still looks perfect like the first day. Longchamp quality is really good and the products also look very classy. I‘m a big fan of the brand.
My purse (UK)/wallet is a preloved Michael Kors. It may be unfashionable now, but pound notes and euros fit nicely without folding, it has 8 card slots, which are the perfect size, plus a zipped middle for coins. It probably wasn't too expensive new, but it was a bargain when I got it. Its only problem is it won't fit my smaller handbag, but slots nicely into the LV Brea/Mulberry Ledbury, which are both ancient as well.
I love my Hermes Day sneakers, however i don’t think there are any shoe that would be comfortable after 12 hours. I get so many compliments on my shoes, they’re the white leather with the rose gold lock. Thanks for your feedback on these items. The Celine looks like it would be a great piece, but maybe they should have done the card slots on both sides and then attached the snaps. Great idea, could be perfected
Yeah I've heard that the bounce sneaker from Hermes is much more comfortable. I agree though, the day sneakers look amazing. For a few hours they're totally fine, but for me no all day.
I had to giggle when I saw you pull out the Celine wallet because I made the exact same mistake as you. As much as I wanted to love this pretty little SLG, I do not. Even with the four interior card slots, I can only carry two cards. When I first tried to put four cards inside each slot (two per side), I literally could not get the back two cards out of their slots without a great deal of effort. It was waaaay too snug a fit and was totally annoying. 🤨 As far as the wallet actually holding my notes, I’m not sure if Canadian currency is larger than the currency in Europe but my bills are too long to fit inside the note holder. There is about a two cm overhang of the bills - ugh! So maddening! I wanted to love this wallet because I’m all about matching my SLG’s with my bags and also because it’s so incredibly beautiful, but this wallet at $960 Canadian dollars is a huge disappointment. My Celine Small 16 bag on the other hand, is perfection! I’m glad I am in such great company with this wallet blunder! 🙋🏼♀️
Hey Ruth! So we both did the same thing here the 16 was a total winner and the wallet, not so much haha. Yes the card slots are very frustrating, not an easy piece to use. The UK notes fit fine inside so I'm going to assume your notes much be a fair bit bigger. Very pretty but I think next time I'll really try a piece out in store next time I buy any SLG like this. Lesson learnt
I love a card holder but it doesn’t have capacity for notes or coins. So I opted for the Chanel coin wallet, it has three slots, a full zip and small enough to carry your cards, notes and any coins you get. I absolutely love it for the full function I get.
Love my LV Trainers! I got the all white. They have more of a platform so they are way more comfortable. Also, the LV Time out sneakers! Such a better option.
The small, canvas Chloé Woody Tote is my rubbish buy as it falls over every time I put it down. So annoying. All cards are on my phone and I use the Stocard app. for store reward cards so I can cut down to just my LV Rosalie or Recto Verso. Both hold my car key fob as well as 3-4 cards and a bit of cash and both are leather which has more ‘give’ than canvas. Excellent slgs. Shoes are an arse as they always fit in the store but not after 4 hours of wear!
A bag I regret is the Dior saddle bag. It's just too small and awkward sized for me. I just thought it was so cool and bought it on a whim, but really should have thought about it longer. I think you should just sell your vintage Chanel and move on to something you would love and use more. I'm sure you could get at least what you paid (or more!)
Yes the saddle is one of those bags that does look really cool, I'm always tempeted myself but as you say an awkward one. I would want a mini and that would mostly be a show piece than practical in any way.

I can't get away from the fact that Galliano was actually inspired by Helmut Newton who did a session for French Vogue and it was pretty borderline porno, with actual saddles on women and whips etc. To me I can't unsee those images. Plus the bag is impractical. It does however come in some fabulous colours, Amelia Rose has one in lurid yellow it would look great with winter white, charcoal grey or navy. That's enough of a difference to make me forget.

The real patent leather is actually made from calf leather with an oil based coating. Today many brands cheat and use acrylics and polyruthane which look much more «plasticy». I am surprised that Chanel would do that, especially on a vintage bag. I would have asked around which method was used on your bag; the original way or the cheap way.

One of THE best purchases I have ever made was the LV Empreinte Key Pouch in black. It has a zipper in the back where I'll have my two debit cards and it would fit more easily. And in the pouch I'll have a little cash. I only have one key so it's always dangling outside. This has become my wallet and it has been in non stop use for like 6 years now and still looks great. I can't see myself ever getting rid of it. It will have to disintegrate before I get something else. If I need to carry all my cards with me (ID, CC, Metro card etc) I have a separate MCM card holder in leather/visetos which has been great as well. Very tough and hardwearing and it looks nice.
I was on the lookout for a wallet for almost a decade. Last year i decided to get a montblanc for my birthday, and honestly i am very happy with my choice. If you are still looking for a lux wallet, i cannot recommend enough the montblancs. sure, they are not as sexy as a YSL or Celine, but the leather is butter soft and they are really thought out. Mine is blue and it is perfect comination of classic luxury with a bit of a twist. when the day comes that i need a replacement, for sure i will get another montblanc!
But I’m answer to your question I regret my mini Antigona. The daft connection of the strap to the bag which occasionally becomes detached. The tight opening where the zip scratches your hands. And it’s a bit too wide to wear cross body. I bought it preloved at a very good price so I’ll probably sell it on and hopefully won’t lose too much
A few years ago now I tried on the Balmain blazer. If you have any bust at all, forget it. If you are 5 ft tall with the short arms to match, forget it. I ended up buying a blazer made in China which fits PERFECTLY, and changed the cheap Balmain copy buttons it came with for something else. It's wonderful. And a fraction of the price. OK, it won't last as long but it's fine for the amount of wear that it gets. Probably my biggest mistake was the Celine travel bag I bought. It's gorgeous, like a LV bandouliere but more subtle - but, it weighs a lot before you pack it. At 50cm long, it's too long to be cabin baggage on most airlines and you really wouldn't want to check it in the hold. So it's only used for road trips, which hardly ever happen.
I know what you mean about the wallet. I have a small one from Tory Burch, and no cards are ever happy in the little slots. Also, I find that the money slot is a pain in the butt. My money slot is closed.🎉

With the day sneakers. Do you just need a 1/2 size larger if they are tight in the toe box? Especially if your toes are at the end of the shoes. They will get tighter as the time on your feet increases and they swell up slightly. It’s why we should always try shoes on after we’ve been on our feet a while. I’ve learnt this the hard way. I wear orthotics in all trainers and they are thicker than the removable insoles most trainers come with and my sneakers end up too tight. I recently bought a pair of Louboutin trainers and initially worried that they were a bit big but once I had them on for a while they were perfect.

Hi Steph, may I propose to stick some heel grips/pads in the back of the fendi sport shoes (inside the shoe). I’m half a number and I have been using them all my life. Amazon has a good choice of them. Maybe I’m not telling you anything new but you never know❤

Yeah you made the right choice! I have seen some people turn the card holder into a little crossbody bag so that looks cute and I might try it! It’s an older style from Givenchy
Ooph, I had that exact Celine wallet and also returned it for similar practicality reasons. The little pouch once you take it off isn't as slim as you'd think because of the two knobs in the back, so it doesn't fit into zippered compartments of micro bags (not to mention it would create dents in soft leathers). And then the bigger compartment, as beauuutiful as it is, is extra bulky because of the triomphe, so not exactly "compact" for fitting into smaller bags. SIGHHH, such a same because it look so stunning. So what I ended up doing is this combo: super super simple Celine card holder with leather one side and canvas the other side. It holds 4 cards and the leather side has a pocket too. There is a zippered center pouch for small coins or bills if I am going minimal and just want to take this card holder. Then I have the key pouch in canvas. Holds all my keys on its attached keychain, and it's big enough to hold all other extra shopping loyalty cards, receipts, coupons, whatever you have it. Finally, I exchanged the Triomphe compact wallet for a medium strap wallet. Holds so many cards, has lots of practical compartments, AND my passport fits inside!!! So kind of a perfect travel wallet to consolidate all my things together. Have been pretty happy with this set-up so far!
Old Celine surely wouldn’t have been so impractical and user unfriendly. I have an ancient pocket Il Bisonte wallet that has capacity for eight cards plus coins and notes. It’s 20 years old and worn, but never gives up. I’m also still on the hunt.
Live & learn - such a thin plastic coating to create the patent effect! Since you find the bag to be too heavy & confined to crossbody wear, I don't think I would invest more money in this bag. 🌻
I have the Celine small wallet which is pretty similar in design to this one (minus that it doesn’t turn into a card holder) and I have been so so happy with it! Like you, I was on the hunt for a wallet that could hold my bills and I didn’t want anything large… I have mainly small purses. There are seven total card slots and a mini coin holder which I wouldn’t recommend for coins because it isn’t a zip… it was difficult to break in at first but I have come to appreciate that since my cards slide out so easy now and fit perfectly snug 😊
I got a Gucci wallet about five years ago. I use it daily and fits many credit cards, bills and odd things like coupons and my vaccination records😂it has not shown a bit of wear after five years.
I would try to see if your vintage Chanel bag can be restored. Honestly, the sides of the bag would bother me a lot. Now that I know I can purchase an affordable Maya Midi bag from Lalage Beaumont (thanks to your Instagram story and news feed) with 24 carat gold plated hardware, I would rather go in that direction, instead of vintage Chanel.
i do aggree, i have a pair of H sneaker in black. it hurt so much after 2 to 3 hrs of shopping and the sole are rubbed so badly after 3 wears. H sneakers are not durable. wont buy them again.
My love/hate is the Antigona. LOVE the look. Heavy like a brick once it's holding your stuff. Who needs arms day at the gym? Just haul that thing loaded and you're set! The zipper teeth will slice and dice your hands and SLGs . And that strap is useless. I'd rather have it an actual crossbody than a shoulder. But I still love the look of it and have kept my medium. I've looked at a small with the crossbody strap but just don't see that will improve the access with an even smaller opening and those ziller teeth.
I had the same experience with my Chloe Nama sneakers with your Hermes shoes. I thought it was super comfortable, so I decided to use it as my "only pair of shoes" for my travel to HK two weeks ago. My God, I got the most excruciating pain ever! I got corns on both feet. Don't get me wrong it's so pretty, and like Hermes the quality is top notch, but if I had known it's not good for travel then I would have just use my Converse, Veja or New Balance.
You could always try putting shoe soles in your fendi sneakers they might not feel as loose then since you unfortunately bought too big of a size. It happens to the best of us.
I’m sorry you’ve been disappointed with the fendi puffer. I think it’s an awesome coat. But if you don’t do a lot of walking outside in the winter or ski like you said, it’s probably not the most useful coat.
I have a great pair of sneakers that are not Hermes’ but they are white and have rose gold on the front. I paid $15. At Walmart. I always get compliments on them and feel so good wearing them. Why on earth does it have to be designer? Fools and their money are easily parted 😏
Designer trainers is just a gimmick. It's better to stick to known sport brands that actually spend more money on research and improving technology of their shoes. I can literally walk in my Adidas 24/7 and feel no pain whatsoever. I made a mistake once when I bought these really beautiful rock'n'roll studded basketball trainers from Givenchy. They were beautifly made but uncomfortable as hell. Wore them once and they're still in the box. So no more designer trainers for me. 😂
Awww no! That’s a shame but you’re totally right. My Nike trainers which I wear almost daily are super comfortable, I just perfect a less ‘sporty’ look when I’m going shopping and more of a smart / casual vibe so the Hermes seemed perfect for that, but not for more than a few hours 😄😢

Hi Steph, I think the LV Victorine wallet appears to fit your needs. It's compact, durable, timeless, and has more slots.
Put a small plant in the coffee cup. Full of dirt with a pretty green plant could be pretty.

And it’s often really warm on the underground in London (also in other big cities) that a huge puffer can feel suffocating

Totally agree with you about the Celine compact wallet. I’ve got the small triomphe wallet in textile and calfskin and I love the way it looks but it’s not practical. I need more card slots and the cards always get stuck. The practicality of the design is ☹️ I’ve gone back to my LV empreinte Victorine. For me the Victorine is the perfect compact wallet.

I have similar issue with a pair of sneakers (not Hermes! 😂) that are slightly too small for me. I loosen off the laces at the toe end quite a bit and that makes them wider across the toes and a lot more comfortable. I hope this helps Steph.

The Hermès Bounce sneakers are very comfortable. When I go shopping for hours I always go for my Bounce sneakers. Last weekend we went to an amusement park with the kids and I had them on for at least 8 hours. I think the Day sneakers are less comfortable because of the leather that is a bit more rigide.

I do understand the practicality point but in the thriomphe wallet the reason why the cards are facing eachother in the middle of the wallet is for security reasons. Even if the leather stretches the cards are safer. The total of 5 slots is really few.
Coffee mugs like that YSL one, both ceramic and that top are a nightmare whether they are $5 or $95.

Yes, those ceramic mugs are a menace! They are HOT to hold when filled with coffee. You get to burn your hand when holding it and then burn your chin or chest when that stupid silicone lid loosens and dumps the coffee on you.
My most functional card holder is not luxury...it's Longchamp. 6 card slots, 3 on each side. Leather but nylon lined. Because it's not leather lined, it's very flexible. I can fit 6 cards and also put bills in the center.
Amazing, I've been loving using my Longchamp Panier recently so I will for sure check out the card holders now!
I have the longchamp Roseau small wallet, which is very similar but all leather. It’s absolutely fantastic. I used it everyday and even after 3 years it still looks perfect like the first day. Longchamp quality is really good and the products also look very classy. I‘m a big fan of the brand.
My purse (UK)/wallet is a preloved Michael Kors. It may be unfashionable now, but pound notes and euros fit nicely without folding, it has 8 card slots, which are the perfect size, plus a zipped middle for coins. It probably wasn't too expensive new, but it was a bargain when I got it. Its only problem is it won't fit my smaller handbag, but slots nicely into the LV Brea/Mulberry Ledbury, which are both ancient as well.
I love my Hermes Day sneakers, however i don’t think there are any shoe that would be comfortable after 12 hours. I get so many compliments on my shoes, they’re the white leather with the rose gold lock. Thanks for your feedback on these items. The Celine looks like it would be a great piece, but maybe they should have done the card slots on both sides and then attached the snaps. Great idea, could be perfected
Yeah I've heard that the bounce sneaker from Hermes is much more comfortable. I agree though, the day sneakers look amazing. For a few hours they're totally fine, but for me no all day.
I had to giggle when I saw you pull out the Celine wallet because I made the exact same mistake as you. As much as I wanted to love this pretty little SLG, I do not. Even with the four interior card slots, I can only carry two cards. When I first tried to put four cards inside each slot (two per side), I literally could not get the back two cards out of their slots without a great deal of effort. It was waaaay too snug a fit and was totally annoying. 🤨 As far as the wallet actually holding my notes, I’m not sure if Canadian currency is larger than the currency in Europe but my bills are too long to fit inside the note holder. There is about a two cm overhang of the bills - ugh! So maddening! I wanted to love this wallet because I’m all about matching my SLG’s with my bags and also because it’s so incredibly beautiful, but this wallet at $960 Canadian dollars is a huge disappointment. My Celine Small 16 bag on the other hand, is perfection! I’m glad I am in such great company with this wallet blunder! 🙋🏼♀️
Hey Ruth! So we both did the same thing here the 16 was a total winner and the wallet, not so much haha. Yes the card slots are very frustrating, not an easy piece to use. The UK notes fit fine inside so I'm going to assume your notes much be a fair bit bigger. Very pretty but I think next time I'll really try a piece out in store next time I buy any SLG like this. Lesson learnt

I love a card holder but it doesn’t have capacity for notes or coins. So I opted for the Chanel coin wallet, it has three slots, a full zip and small enough to carry your cards, notes and any coins you get. I absolutely love it for the full function I get.
Love my LV Trainers! I got the all white. They have more of a platform so they are way more comfortable. Also, the LV Time out sneakers! Such a better option.

The small, canvas Chloé Woody Tote is my rubbish buy as it falls over every time I put it down. So annoying. All cards are on my phone and I use the Stocard app. for store reward cards so I can cut down to just my LV Rosalie or Recto Verso. Both hold my car key fob as well as 3-4 cards and a bit of cash and both are leather which has more ‘give’ than canvas. Excellent slgs. Shoes are an arse as they always fit in the store but not after 4 hours of wear!
A bag I regret is the Dior saddle bag. It's just too small and awkward sized for me. I just thought it was so cool and bought it on a whim, but really should have thought about it longer. I think you should just sell your vintage Chanel and move on to something you would love and use more. I'm sure you could get at least what you paid (or more!)
Yes the saddle is one of those bags that does look really cool, I'm always tempeted myself but as you say an awkward one. I would want a mini and that would mostly be a show piece than practical in any way.

I can't get away from the fact that Galliano was actually inspired by Helmut Newton who did a session for French Vogue and it was pretty borderline porno, with actual saddles on women and whips etc. To me I can't unsee those images. Plus the bag is impractical. It does however come in some fabulous colours, Amelia Rose has one in lurid yellow it would look great with winter white, charcoal grey or navy. That's enough of a difference to make me forget.
Yes sold it right after I got it and never regretted letting it go. I could fit nothing in there and the extra shoulder strap cost a fortune 😢

The real patent leather is actually made from calf leather with an oil based coating. Today many brands cheat and use acrylics and polyruthane which look much more «plasticy». I am surprised that Chanel would do that, especially on a vintage bag. I would have asked around which method was used on your bag; the original way or the cheap way.

One of THE best purchases I have ever made was the LV Empreinte Key Pouch in black. It has a zipper in the back where I'll have my two debit cards and it would fit more easily. And in the pouch I'll have a little cash. I only have one key so it's always dangling outside. This has become my wallet and it has been in non stop use for like 6 years now and still looks great. I can't see myself ever getting rid of it. It will have to disintegrate before I get something else. If I need to carry all my cards with me (ID, CC, Metro card etc) I have a separate MCM card holder in leather/visetos which has been great as well. Very tough and hardwearing and it looks nice.
I was on the lookout for a wallet for almost a decade. Last year i decided to get a montblanc for my birthday, and honestly i am very happy with my choice. If you are still looking for a lux wallet, i cannot recommend enough the montblancs. sure, they are not as sexy as a YSL or Celine, but the leather is butter soft and they are really thought out. Mine is blue and it is perfect comination of classic luxury with a bit of a twist. when the day comes that i need a replacement, for sure i will get another montblanc!
But I’m answer to your question I regret my mini Antigona. The daft connection of the strap to the bag which occasionally becomes detached. The tight opening where the zip scratches your hands. And it’s a bit too wide to wear cross body.
I bought it preloved at a very good price so I’ll probably sell it on and hopefully won’t lose too much
A few years ago now I tried on the Balmain blazer. If you have any bust at all, forget it. If you are 5 ft tall with the short arms to match, forget it. I ended up buying a blazer made in China which fits PERFECTLY, and changed the cheap Balmain copy buttons it came with for something else. It's wonderful. And a fraction of the price. OK, it won't last as long but it's fine for the amount of wear that it gets. Probably my biggest mistake was the Celine travel bag I bought. It's gorgeous, like a LV bandouliere but more subtle - but, it weighs a lot before you pack it. At 50cm long, it's too long to be cabin baggage on most airlines and you really wouldn't want to check it in the hold. So it's only used for road trips, which hardly ever happen.

Such a helpful list! I’ve been looking at the Celine compact wallets and the thing stopping me from buying them is the layout. Same as the LV Zoe wallet - I love the look but wish the card slots were horizontal xx
Personally, I would say that Celine’s wallet are worth the money. I have the CARD HOLDER WITH FLAP TRIOMPHE IN SHINY CALFSKIN and it can fit more than 10 cards even with keys and money inside. Though it only has one slot on the front part, it can fit 2 cards and taking it out is pretty easy. So if you’re interested, I would recommend it a lot especially for the price that I paid.

With the day sneakers. Do you just need a 1/2 size larger if they are tight in the toe box? Especially if your toes are at the end of the shoes. They will get tighter as the time on your feet increases and they swell up slightly. It’s why we should always try shoes on after we’ve been on our feet a while.
I’ve learnt this the hard way. I wear orthotics in all trainers and they are thicker than the removable insoles most trainers come with and my sneakers end up too tight.
I recently bought a pair of Louboutin trainers and initially worried that they were a bit big but once I had them on for a while they were perfect.
1000% agree with the Saint Laurent Ceramic mug- I've spilled coffee on my self several times because of how insecure the lid is! Bad design!

Ooph, I had that exact Celine wallet and also returned it for similar practicality reasons. The little pouch once you take it off isn't as slim as you'd think because of the two knobs in the back, so it doesn't fit into zippered compartments of micro bags (not to mention it would create dents in soft leathers). And then the bigger compartment, as beauuutiful as it is, is extra bulky because of the triomphe, so not exactly "compact" for fitting into smaller bags. SIGHHH, such a same because it look so stunning.
So what I ended up doing is this combo: super super simple Celine card holder with leather one side and canvas the other side. It holds 4 cards and the leather side has a pocket too. There is a zippered center pouch for small coins or bills if I am going minimal and just want to take this card holder. Then I have the key pouch in canvas. Holds all my keys on its attached keychain, and it's big enough to hold all other extra shopping loyalty cards, receipts, coupons, whatever you have it. Finally, I exchanged the Triomphe compact wallet for a medium strap wallet. Holds so many cards, has lots of practical compartments, AND my passport fits inside!!! So kind of a perfect travel wallet to consolidate all my things together. Have been pretty happy with this set-up so far!

Old Celine surely wouldn’t have been so impractical and user unfriendly. I have an ancient pocket Il Bisonte wallet that has capacity for eight cards plus coins and notes. It’s 20 years old and worn, but never gives up. I’m also still on the hunt.

I have the Celine small wallet which is pretty similar in design to this one (minus that it doesn’t turn into a card holder) and I have been so so happy with it! Like you, I was on the hunt for a wallet that could hold my bills and I didn’t want anything large… I have mainly small purses. There are seven total card slots and a mini coin holder which I wouldn’t recommend for coins because it isn’t a zip… it was difficult to break in at first but I have come to appreciate that since my cards slide out so easy now and fit perfectly snug 😊
I got a Gucci wallet about five years ago. I use it daily and fits many credit cards, bills and odd things like coupons and my vaccination records😂it has not shown a bit of wear after five years.
I would try to see if your vintage Chanel bag can be restored. Honestly, the sides of the bag would bother me a lot. Now that I know I can purchase an affordable Maya Midi bag from Lalage Beaumont (thanks to your Instagram story and news feed) with 24 carat gold plated hardware, I would rather go in that direction, instead of vintage Chanel.

i do aggree, i have a pair of H sneaker in black. it hurt so much after 2 to 3 hrs of shopping and the sole are rubbed so badly after 3 wears. H sneakers are not durable. wont buy them again.
My love/hate is the Antigona. LOVE the look. Heavy like a brick once it's holding your stuff. Who needs arms day at the gym? Just haul that thing loaded and you're set! The zipper teeth will slice and dice your hands and SLGs . And that strap is useless. I'd rather have it an actual crossbody than a shoulder. But I still love the look of it and have kept my medium. I've looked at a small with the crossbody strap but just don't see that will improve the access with an even smaller opening and those ziller teeth.
I had the same experience with my Chloe Nama sneakers with your Hermes shoes. I thought it was super comfortable, so I decided to use it as my "only pair of shoes" for my travel to HK two weeks ago. My God, I got the most excruciating pain ever! I got corns on both feet. Don't get me wrong it's so pretty, and like Hermes the quality is top notch, but if I had known it's not good for travel then I would have just use my Converse, Veja or New Balance.

You could always try putting shoe soles in your fendi sneakers they might not feel as loose then since you unfortunately bought too big of a size. It happens to the best of us.
I’m sorry you’ve been disappointed with the fendi puffer. I think it’s an awesome coat. But if you don’t do a lot of walking outside in the winter or ski like you said, it’s probably not the most useful coat.

I have a great pair of sneakers that are not Hermes’ but they are white and have rose gold on the front. I paid $15. At Walmart. I always get compliments on them and feel so good wearing them. Why on earth does it have to be designer? Fools and their money are easily parted 😏

The single breasted Balmain blazer looks great. It is not as obvious as the double breasted one and I think, more classic.
Designer trainers is just a gimmick. It's better to stick to known sport brands that actually spend more money on research and improving technology of their shoes. I can literally walk in my Adidas 24/7 and feel no pain whatsoever.
I made a mistake once when I bought these really beautiful rock'n'roll studded basketball trainers from Givenchy. They were beautifly made but uncomfortable as hell. Wore them once and they're still in the box. So no more designer trainers for me. 😂
Awww no! That’s a shame but you’re totally right. My Nike trainers which I wear almost daily are super comfortable, I just perfect a less ‘sporty’ look when I’m going shopping and more of a smart / casual vibe so the Hermes seemed perfect for that, but not for more than a few hours 😄😢
