This is definitely Elvis. It is in studio and very likely a version that he insisted on doing sans accompaniment. Just the basics. Piano, drums and his brilliant voice. If you don't think it is Elvis then you are wrong. Only he can sing like this. No impersonator would attempt this, in such a raw form/format. Great find Gabe!! (Auf mein Computer, habe ich eine Darstellung, darin er ihren Falsetto auf den hohen Noten gebraucht.) Usually, a baratone's falsetto is thin and raspy. (Gewonlich ist des Falsetto der ein Baratone duen und raspeln.) His was full and melodeous. (Ihren war reichlich und melodish.) His voice was just amazing. (Ihre Stimme war doch erstaunlich.)
The original studio recording was on the album "That's the way it is" released in 1970. If i remember well, there was an applaus overdub added at the end of the song. I can't figure out if this is the undubbed unrepaired master or if it is an different outtake. The collector label "Follow that dream" (ref ASIN : B00163JGOG) issued in 2008 a 2cd version with 2 additional outtakes. It could be one of them.
