Here we have my first classic race of F1 2013! I am driving the 1988 Williams FW12 around Monza.

This game is being played on PC with max settings. I have got it on legendary with all assists off. I use the Logitech Driving Force GT with everything set to 0%.

This is a message to anyone out there that thinks disliking the video will change things...it wont. Codemasters wouldn't give Alex the game if he wasn't a phenomenal driver. If you think Alex sucks do two things; keep it to yourself and get out on the track, learn to be as good as him pushing the limits and do a RUclips channel. You have the right to mark down a bad video. This however is NOT a bad video. If it were not for Alex giving his time and commitment nobody watches anything. Appreciate
He uploaded regular content with the previous game. Because he uploads the games content and gives his personal opinion on it Codemasters benefits by giving him the game early to gain publicity. Alex is an amazing driver. Codemasters can see that in the videos. People dislike the video out of jealousy. To get the game early, practise as hard as Alex does and then make a RUclips channel. Offer a variety of content, try cater for all audiences. Get in touch with Codemasters and see what they say.

1988 Monza was a different track. The first chicane was way more slower than now..
Code asters should come out with some F1 Classics DLC! Extra tracks and stuff! Like the old Hockenheimring circuit and other Kyalami, Magney-Cours, and maybe even the Donington and the Adelaide street circuit! XD

Times won't be too much different on monza as there isn't many corners for the conering speeds to matter too much
Just looked it up: the 1988 Italian GP pole lap was 1:25.974 by Senna. So the game's a bit fast, but not far off.
It's because they only use drivers who are currently alive... Because it's meant as like a revival type mode, rather than going back in time.
The pole time in the 1988 Monza Grand Prix was 1:25,974 by Senna. So you outpaced the original times by quite a margin. So, yes, I'd agree with you the 80s cars or at least your Williams is a bit off.

Hey, I seriously love F1 and its games but is it worth buying it now or waiting for the 2014 game.
How do they balance the performance of the cars?
Because there's a huge difference in performance between the cars of the eighties and nineteens.

The Classic cars are only about 2 secs a lap slower than the current ones. That's not realistic

Alex. Would you agree that it would be amazing if the game would contain drivers personalities. Like idk. Grosjean is more aggressive and risks more Alonso is smooth Raikkonen is better at races and Vettel attacks a lot and maybe that the drivers would have skill levels. Like corners from 1-99 start from 1-99 tyre wear from 1-99 and so on...

but seriously, don't they have any of the McLaren MP4 series between 3 ('87) and 7 ('92)?
The older cars were faster, over the last 10 - 12 years the cars have been designed to gradually make them slower, next is the move from 2.5 N/A engines down to 1.6 Turbo for economy and to slow them a lil more. Tracks have been altered also to slow cars down.
i felt that the williams is the most grippy car out there...
So... anyone else disappointed Codemasters didn't add pre-2001 Hockenheimring?
