I thought I mentioned in the video that this wasn't specifically about how to create a perfect layer mask, only that it is an important part of the process, because different images would require different methods of achieving that. I've got heaps of other videos that go deep into layer masking & luminosity masking etc on my channel.

Agreed. It could have been a tight 6 minute video and nothing important would have been lost.
I did mention at the start that this wasnt the quickest or easiest approach, but the one that will produce the best results.
