This wig is Paula Young's wig Phoebe in the color 12/28 which if you look at the catalog is called Honey. It is a little darker than my usual Buttered toast but I love the color.

I think Phoebe looks great on you But you know best what you like. I just received Phoebe and need to work with the bottom part a little. I just started the wig journey. I am 74 and my beautiful thick wavy hair is constantly thinning and receding and shedding now. Thanks for showing this one.

Hey Babs. You inspire me more than you know. I decided to take advantage of the differed payment with PY and I ordered Angel (16/27 golden strawberry, Phoebe that looked great on you! (30/28/26 Golden Ginger) and lastly Ashlee (10/26 Buttered toast). I not sure about the Ashlee but I wanted my youth of the 70s shag-a-delic happy days look, it may be a pipe dream. And, the Ashlee has rocked into the stratosphere price wise. This video is not recent but I loved it and you look fantastic in this wig!

I love this wig on you! The color is just right for you! I think the longer style is very flattering and youthful looking too! I have dark brown hair too and I am just getting into wigs so it’s nice to see the lighter colors on you it helps me decide what to get! Hi Donna ! The first wig I had on was Carson! I loved that wig but she has changed for the worse ! The last couple I ordered were so skimpy hardly any hair and u could see all the wefting ! I do really love it on you 💗😊How can we layer the top more? To give the top more pouf. As I have the phoebe. I love the old 80s longer hair with shorter layers. Some people say that’s a mullet but I love it puffy on top but long in back or nape. Plus for more curly hair it’s a must. The PY wig colors are hard. They need dark roots options for us brunettes. I guess I can use mascara on roots

Or I just take a comb put wig spray on it and backcomb the roots to poof it! I thought when I had this in my cart it might be like a mullet too but it isn't at all and I totally agree with u I like longer in back too! Your whole profile is elongated when it's longer and fuller ! I'm such an 80s girl too lol I agree PY needs better selections for brunettes! More brown with blonder highlights would be great! I keep wishing PY would come up with more variations in the brunettes. I have naturally darker brown hair so blondes don’t look natural on me. I would love to see a dark brown with maybe some burgundy highlights. I have a wig from Motown Tress that is a beautiful dark chocolate brown with noticeable highlights, a burgundy/maroon shade. It is so pretty - and different. PY has lots of highlights and variations for blondes but not brunettes. Hey, Paula......brunettes like to wear wigs too!!!

Cute with the bow because it matches your top. I'm trying to decide between Honey and Buttered Toast. They look so alike, and I still cannot decide. I don't know why the ends are dark. Seems the roots should be dark, not the ends.

I came across you last week because I wanted to buy a wig from Paula Young. I have already purchased a wig from Wish and it looked like a skunk! Then I ordered another but it turned out to be a scam. My credit card refunded my money. So now I am a little Leary about ordering another wig until I ran into you! I just want you to know that I love you and your wigs. As I was watching you today I found out that you are from PA, and so am I, and that you are Italian, and so am I. I love your personality and I would never believe that you are 76! PY Is a safe place and honestly their wigs are great ! U may get one here and there that are not what u expected which is why I always try to review honestly bad or good ! Caps are great fiber is great and most cuts are really cute! Start off by only buying one that's ur style and then determine if it's for you! Let me know if I can help ! The wig looks different on you than it does in the picture. I liked it with your hair tie. I always have to play around with mine a little to get them looking right. I just got one that is lighter than I thought it would be, but I finally decided to keep it.

@@takecontrolbeauty6402 I got Blair in SF613/14. It's the curliest wig I have gotten. The lightest colors I've had are SF12/28 and SF10/26. I'm not sure which of those is lighter.
Lydia Johnson 12/28 is this wig and it's honey 10/26 is buttered toast and it is lighter blonde! I love the SF 10/28 ! Blair is super cute wig but a little short for me if it's the PY Blair :) 💕💕
@@takecontrolbeauty6402 I like short wigs for summer. While PY was having the anniversary sale, I also got Janine in 10/26 and McKenzie in 33/28. I really like both of those. I may have to wear McKenzie only on cooler days. The wig I wear the most is Ryan. I have it in 33/28 and 8/12A.

Hello there, girlfriend. Okay, so you sold me on Gayle (and I finally found a color I've been searching for and no brand carries--light brown with pale blonde--not golden--highlights, SF13/16) and now I'm thinking about this style, too. Is the cap itchy as you originally stated? Gayle is super comfy and I am not up for more Paula Young itchy caps so...what do you think? Or maybe I should just get another Gayle and layer her up? Your wisdom matters to me. TIA. x
wendalinajolie Haha my wisdom matters 😂 I think all wigs itch a tiny bit but I have no problems with PY whisper lites at all and I wear them everyday! Have u tried wearing them with a wig cap? I wear a cap under my Gayle only bc I don't want any if my hair showing . This wig has A LOT of hair just letting you know! But it can be pinned up so cute ! Certain wigs come in certain colors! I love the Autumn Blend color in Gayle but I can't get that color in Dance or any one I like ! All my Dance wigs are Buttered Toast and my Carson is spiced coconut and I wish I could get Dance in SC but nope ! I'm reviewing another long one in Pecan Delight as soon as it comes ! Maybe You will like it ! I don't even know yet if I will bc I've never gotten it before :) You can always send them back :) Hope that helped ? Hmm, glad to see what this one looks like, I do like it on you & I don't think it's that shiny at all, being new. It takes a while to toy with a wig to get it just 'right', something like our own hair after shampooing, (can't do a thing with it till it's kinda dirty' LOL)

I love that wig on you. I want one for myself. I just bought PY Kate wig and just got it today. I thought it would make me look too young, but after some tweaking it suits me.. I am 68 and I may cut a couple inches off her, but I love the wig. I toned down the shine with dry shampoo and pulled the sides back with clips, left out some of my own bangs and sides, and no one can tell it’s a wig. For 29.99, I can’t believe how good it looks. I’ve tried several Gabor and other name brans for $300 or more and always sent them back. I’m a new wig wearer. No hair loss or anything, but I just want to change things up a bit. I like this Phoebe on you so much that I want to get one for myself. Thanks for your reviews.
Hi Laurie, I love Kate. I may get that one to pin up too or pull back in a pony tail or up in a bun. I Love it. I don't remember seeing it. Thanks. Yeah your a youngster so you can pull that off. :) I have a few years on you and I still like the long wigs. I have Gayle . I did a review on that if you didn't see it go check it out you may like it too and she is on sale too now. I do like Phoebe, I wear it alot it all sorts of ways. Nice hair. I leave mine shiny b/c I love the shine look. After a few days outside it dulls right up. I wear wigs too for fun, no hair loss either. I have bought Gabor lace front and OMGoodness it was awful and expensive and it itched so bad I could not stand it on for a minute. @@takecontrolbeauty6402 I did see your review on Gayle. It looks great on you, down or up. However, you have no wrinkles on your face or neck so that long hair suits you. Not so sure about me. Face wrinkles are there and since losing weight after gallbladder removal my face has more wrinkles now so I am not sure about the long hair look, but my husband loves it and since I am tall it definitely balances me out. I pull out temple hairs and pin the sides back and it looks pretty good. :)
LaurieJ Oh yes it was you who recommended Kate! I have been trying to remember who told me about that wig and looking through my comments and couldn't find it so glad you responded to this. I did order Kate in pecan delight which is my bio hair color. It's not like my Gayle that's for sure it's too flat for me I'm going to review it though and mention you if that's OK ? I just have to trim the bangs but it's hard to put up in an updo because of that circle in the middle of that part the way it is but I'm working on her LOL I'll review it soon. I would love to see a picture of you in that and how you styled it so check out my email address and if you can send me a picture :-) oh and about your wrinkles check out my videos you can fix those wrinkles I'm telling you just massage in the right products. Hey latest update. I'm going to send this one back. The curls at the bottom of the wig are not as tight as yours. They are straight and doin a long flip. I like yours better so I'll try another. Love this review.
I've noticed that some wig reviewers buy a lot of different wigs then try to style them the same way so that they pretty much all look the same. No one sees you like you see yourself so our opinions would probably not help in making you feel comfortable with any given wig. You asked for honesty and I will oblige. You look cute has heck in this wig. You may like flippy but you are so attractive that you can rock a lot of wig styles. When you knock your face and profile I just stare at the screen and say what in the world is she talking about?? If you don't want your face, I will take it. LOL No kidding, this is an attractive wig on you. I honestly think you look even younger in this wig. It is a soft feminine style that suits you well. If that would work for me I would buy this in a heartbeat. But it all boils down to how comfortable you feel in this wig. Too bad that you can't see what we see. You are gorgeous even without a wig. You said that this wig was a little different. Isn't that why you buy different wigs? Or are you happier to make them all look similar? I'm just curious.

Keep it! Hi I'm new to watching your videos. I'm in Australia and your 2 giving me great reviews on well priced wigs. Phoebe makes you look younger especially with the sides pinned up and the bow. It's hard choosing a wig from down under but the Paula Young seen to be the best value. I used to have thick horse hair and very light coloured. Now its very white and flatter on top so at least you can show me the styles. Could you tell me if the caps are small please? My head is on the large size. Thanks for all your help. Regards Maureen.

PY wigs are a great value for sure. Can you get them in Australia? As far as the cap size PY offers Average, Large in most wigs but not all. I am an average and I think my head circumference is 22 if that helps you. I know I ordered a Large one by mistake and it was so big I had to take in the wefting to make it smaller. Wig companies offer usually Average, Large and also some in Petite so watch for that and look at the size of the wig it should always tell you. Just measure your head size for a start point. I just received my first Carson wig in the Toasted Coconut. I really like it, I would say it is very similar to my Raise wig by Ellen Wille. I was hoping it would be similar as I love the Raise wig, but it is so pricey. I just reviewed the Carson on my wig channel HairNotThere. Oh, and I bought it because I loved it on you. Take Control Beauty i really like it but I did have to darken the roots. I’m not thrilled with the highlights going right to the root. Easy fix though. I want to try the medium auburn as I was a natural redhead

Hi so glad you came across my channel :) I honestly think the wig in the beginning is the Carson in Buttered Toast. I should always put them in the description box. Sorry I did not. My Carson I love is usually in Spiced Coconut. Love PY wigs but lately they are coming in again a little thinner. It is kind of hit and miss. Have you had any issues? I'm a fairly new wig wearer. From the catalog photo I didn't think this would look good on me. But it looked cute on you, and I was trying to find something that wasn't too much hair in the front, but still long enough in the back to cover my nape. My goodness, it does sound like I'm describing a mullet. haha Anyways, I got one and ended up liking it so much, I just today ordered a 2nd one in another color.

Gloria Duke Some do come in thin! My last two PY Carson's are sparse :( I called them to see if They change the manufactures but of course they said no. The ones I got before were really a lot of hair. If you order from Amazon you get tons of hair cheap LOL I'm doing a couple new wigs on Paula Young next week sometime hopefully if they come in like they look in the picture if not I probably will send them back ! I love the wig on you. I’m just curious that since it’s an ultralight wig, do you think any of the wefts would show on a very light blonde color? I need almost a platinum color and have tried various wigs in the past where welts showed through especially in back because the wig hair was so fine. Thanks in advance. 😁
LaurieJ Hi there! Thanks for hanging out with me :) So is ur own hair really blonde? The back of this wig is gradual to dark! It's pretty full in the back I looked at it again after you sent me this message and it really is full I don't think you'll have any problems with the wefting but I'd where a wig cap that's darker and u should have no problem! @@takecontrolbeauty6402 Yeah my own hair on the top layer is platinum (I am thankful I didnt grow in gray. So, the top layer and temples are platinum to white, but not gray-white, if you know what I mean. It's funny because the under layer of my hair in back is still medium to dark blonde. Go figure. I don't have hair loss, but my hair is fairly fine and I am looking at wigs to wear occasionally to let my hair rest from heat and styling. I would like to have a very light wig so I can pull out some of my temple hair and some hair in front to incorporate and make it look like my hair. Thanks for the tip on wearing a darker wig cap. My PY young color is definitely 101. I have the Kate in color 101 and I can pull out my temple hair on that one and it looks good. Just haven't worn it yet because in south Florida it is still so darn hot yet and I am unsure of myself going out with a wig on. That's why I may want to start with a shorter wig like Phoebe. I am 68. By the way, I really enjoy your channel. It's so nice to be able to watch such positive and fun and uplifting videos. You are really making a wonderful difference! Thank you for what you do.
Hello, my beautiful friend! Sorry I'm so late but have been away for about a week! Ok, I love this wig. I really like the honey toned highlights in it as opposed to the more cool toned. I think it is very flattering on your skin tone and brightens your face up a lot! And of course, I always love when you add a bow and I like it with the bow more on the top! Oh Cindy this is alot of hair for you this Phoebe. Maybe the Carson I had on in the beginning, but this Phoebe and I have had our battles. I think this wig looks fabulous on you. The wave in it is sexy and the color looks terrific on you.
You look very good in this! It does look adorable, and the color degradation is fabulous. However the question woud be: is that particular model your style? The tricky thing with this is that there is horizontal volume at the bangs level and sides, and not so much at the top, which gives a rounder shape; and it looks like you'd be happier with a more tapered cut. However, you do wear it really well as is! Maybe eventually hav a stylist trim the sides very slightly, so it looks a little like when you pin the sides?
Hi there, Me and this wig have had some battles. lol I have thinned it and tapered the top because yes you are right it has this rounded look. I like the color for a change and have cut and thinned it alot. I was and am a stylist and did wigs alot when I worked as a stylist so I am thrilled all that wig training came in very handy for me. :) I will wear it soon on a review and show all I have done to her. I kept her of coarse and she is okay but I do not think I personally would buy her again although she is very popular. I think too this particular wig might have been better in a darker shade.
