Perhaps the Whisperlite wigs are less dense in some models. Thank you, I enjoy your videos because you are upbeat and fun and show us how to style our wigs. I think with these two particular girls, there is not enough length in the back to lift and still disguise the back of the wig cap enough to put a messy bun over it. But with Amie, because she's a bit longer, you might be able to use bobby pins to make a french roll and then put a clip-on messy bun on it. To do it more effectively, I personally would be using a longer wig to do this (Like Juno, Easton, Haven, etc) Good luck and thanks for watching and sharing! Hugs! ~ Coco
While waiting for you to put the wig on, I noticed your wall for the first time. Love it! Also, Meg and Amie are cute. You can wear any style and make it work❣️

Very helpful information, thank you! Both styles are darling, and Amie definitely looks like a "grown out" Meg! Love seeing your topper in 17/101, as I don’t remember seeing any wigs shown in that color in the catalog. It's a lovely color, good for brunettes who are going gray (like me)!
17/101 is definitely an under-rated color and great for getting used to the gray! I used this color a lot when I first began considering "going gray" and it was a godsend! And I think you're right--they really don't show any wigs in that color in their catalogs or online! And thanks for watching and sharing! Hugs, Coco
You are such a beautiful woman that everything looks great on you. It’s so much fun watching the different wigs I just hope they will look 1/2 as good on me😅
I have a short face and neck, so I love your comparisons. I do have a question about open ear tabs. What exactly does that mean for us glasses wearers?
Depending on where the ear tab lays on your head, you could use it to place the temples of your glasses through the ear tab. But that doesn't always work because the ear tabs sometimes land up near your temple which means the temples of your glasses would end up higher than where they are meant to be. So it really doesn't always mean that will work.
I just found your channel and the measurements explanation was very helpful. I’ve worn short wigs for years but I’m wanting to go a little longer. And, as you mentioned I don’t have anyone in my area that will shape or trim a wig. I have a petite head and face so going longer may be a challenge, especially with the bangs. Hopefully I can find something that will work without having to return it too many times.
Hi! Just be sure to pay attention to the “Front”measurements of the wig you’re looking at and compare them to the measurements of the wig that you currently wear/like. This way you can get a wig just slightly longer (1/2-1”) without needing a trim! This has saved me so many times when I’m looking for a short wig! Good luck! Hugs and blessings to you!❤️
I really enjoy your videos. Great advice! I'm short and I often forget about the length. I bought Amie last year and it's quite long on me. I'd like to try Meg now. Thanks again. You look great in both.
Hi Debbie! You will definitely find Meg to be shorter and she just might be the ticket for you! (I'll keep my finger's crossed for you!!!) I’m thinking I might try using Aimee to make a topper. I can’t remember the color. Thank you for all of your information. I enjoyed that you compared the two wigs.
This was great. Looking online, I didn’t know if I’d like Silvery Moon because it looked so different on different wigs. This video really showed the color well. Hard to decide which wig I liked better!
Meg will be a little shorter and what I call "perky." Amie will have a little more length on the sides and nape. Either one will be a great addition to anyone's wig wardrobe! Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Hugs! ~ Coco🤗

Hi Sandy, thanks for the review. This was a very good comparison and really. But I had another question I like the way you do your eyeliner. It really helps lift your eyes. I would love for you to do a review on how to do that eyeliner like that. I know it’s not a wig review, but it really looks nice thank you.

Hi Barbara!! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment on my video! And thanks for your kind words! Have you been wearing wigs long? What wigs do you like? ❤️
@@cocoshairsolutions Happy Monday! I started wearing wigs about 4 yrs ago. I've always had fine hair but noticed it starting to thin. Thyroid was not a problem so my doctor caulked it up to hormones... actually, a lack thereof. The first couple I bought were from a local wig store and were quite pricey but then I found Paul Young. I must admit it took patience to finally find a wig that I felt good about ("Kylie" in the color Buttered Toast; when I noticed she was being discontinued, I bought several as a backup and still have two that have yet to be opened). Look forward to watching your upcoming videos! Have an awesome week!
They are both in Silvery Moon SF51/60. I wear this color almost all the time! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment on my video! Hugs and blessings to you!! ❤️
Coco have you tried Paula Young Dance? I know we both have the same measurements I have always wondered how it would look on us. Just wondering, thanks.
I screen shot some pics of you showing the Paula Young Meg wig, but now I can't find that video. It wasn't this video comparing Meg to Amie but rather just the Meg by itself. Has that been taken down? If not, can you let me know where to find it, please?

thank you so much. they both look great on you. But I think the Meg looks slightly better. I was looking for a review of Amie and now I think I like them both. It so hard to decide and videos like yours are very helpful. I've been wearing Calla, originally in one of the dark blonde colors, now in gray. I also have the Color Me Beautiful mid length and long in gray. But I would like something cooler for the summer. Thanks again
Hi Linda! Yes, I usually try to include that information. This video was one of the first ones I ever did and I was still learning what information needs to be included. Hopefully as you watch more videos, you'll see that! Maybe I should redo this one? Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Hugs! ~ Coco
Sandy - hopefully you can help me with my question and give me a solution. I got a gently used wig that I really like, but the previous owner had done some trimming on the hair in front of the ears. One side is great but the other side is “crunchy”. Am I just out of luck or would a low temp heat brush or curling iron allow me to straighten this out? I don’t own either of these implements.
Hi Jeanne! It sounds like the “crunchy” side might have been exposed to too much heat. Look closely at the fibers-do they look like they might have melted? If this is the case, then the only solution would be to have your hairdresser trim off the burnt pieces and balance out the other side to match. If it’s not burnt, you can try a hot air brush (all plastic barrel)to see if it will smooth out with gentle heat. You can also use a hair dryer with a round brush to accomplish the same thing, but you have to be very careful about the heat of the hair dryer and use it on its lowest setting. Do not use a curling iron on your wig. It will damage your wig beyond repair. If your hairdresser is very familiar with working with synthetic wigs, perhaps the best thing would be is to take your wig to them as it is and find out what s/he says. I’m so sorry I can’t be of more help…best of luck with your wig. Hugs and blessings to you ❤️❤️❤️
Greetings! I always start to call you Coco! How did you come to name your channel that? Anyway, this was a very helpful comparison of these 2 styles. I would love to see a demo of how you apply your topper. I bought the medium length one, but I can't seem to get it clipped in right. Thank you! Love and blessings ❤ 🙏

I demonstrate how to use a different kind of wig grip on those. Please check that out and if you still have questions, please be sure to let me know via Messaging (that way our conversation won't get lost!) Blessings!!💗
These are both so pretty it makes me wonder why I’m trying to regrow my bio hair but then I remember I need petite size and often the styles that look on great on other women don’t work on me. I’m checking these out for size right now. I do get tired of rubbing minoxidil on my scalp twice and day not to mention the coloring that’s mandatory every eight weeks. I hope at least one of these styles will work for me. I think Paula Young can’t be beat for comfortable wig caps and price points. That’s for posting these very helpful reviews!
Hi Pebbles!!! My dermatologist doctor has me taking an oral Minoxidil and I sure like it better than the topical! Maybe you could ask your doctor about this? Have you tried taking in any of the wig caps? Some people have good results with this and it increases the options for styles, too. Hopefully you'll be able to figure out how to make a larger wig work for you along with finding the right styles--just don't forget to play with them a little bit and see what they can do for you! Hi Beth! It’s not really a wig. It is a topper and it is in the color, sugar and spice 17/101. It is the long curly topper in the versa, fiber product by Paul Young.
Thank you for this video. I haven’t seen you out there, but see great potential in your presentation. You are very personable. The comparison of these two is just what I needed to see, as I’ve been looking at both of these wigs, and your review helped a lot. I’m still contemplating. Not sure about the lack of permatease in the top of both. I thought I saw some wefting on the upper left side of Meg when you held her up. Can you verify that? I love the way they look in the back and around the bottom, though. They give good coverage around the hairline. Looking forward to seeing more of you doing PY reviews on RUclips. There are lots of long styles shown, but not many short ones. Let’s see more.
Hi Linda! Thank you for your kind words and comments! I've just started placing videos online in the past month and still working on getting it to look a little more "flaw-free" as I move along! You may have seen some wefting as I held Meg up. She doesn't have a lot of hair (thickness), but that's one of the things I like about her. She has enough to cover all the wefting on the sides and back, and also has a bit of permatease on the top and crown to hid it very well (so does Amie). So there's no worries about seeing the wefting during wear. In fact I've worn her 2 out of the last 4 days because she's so easy to wear (the other 2 days I've worn JS Timeless, which could almost be mistaken or the same haircut but different style!)! Anyway, I am going to snap up another Meg for back up real quick!!! Thanks again!
I’d like to get Meg, but in the catalogs the cheapest I can find for Meg or Amie is $54. And I have to purchase two to use the BOGO 50%, which brings the total using the reg price of 69 to $104 + T/S. I know they are in the catalogs from time to time for 29 or 39. I think I’ll wait. How about you?

I wear Meg a lot and think she's a great little wig. But be aware that if you get her in the Silvery Moon, White, or Silver colors, she might show the wefts. That's why I put the dark roots in her so that they woudn't show. Thanks so much for watching and sharing, Yvette! Hugs, Coco
Meg has less than Amie, so if "Poof" is what you want, then Amie's your girl! Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Coco 😊
It took me forever to realize I have a small face. I did realize I have a short neck. These things make wigs look very different on my me than on the models. I had to learn from experience when buying a new style. I remember you saying you have a long face so these would look very different on me.
Hi again Linda! That's a very good observation! How long do you think it took you to realize your face shape had an influence on how wigs looked on you? ~ Coco
Hi Laurie! Yes, you are right that some of these wigs are “thinner” than others and that can lead to seeing the wefts. But I find that on Amie there is enough hair fibers to cover all the wefts, even when the hair is combed in any direction. If you lift the fibers on the back of the wig, you're more likely to see the wefting there, but she’s got better than average coverage between the permatease and the volume of hair fibers! (I’m looking at her right now as I write you!) no worries with this girl! Blessings to you and thank you for watching!!! ❤️

And thank you so much for the compliment! It’s a lot of fun doing these videos! Thank you for watching, and being a wonderful part of my RUclips community! Hugs, Coco
It’s so much fun watching the different wigs I just hope they will look 1/2 as good on me😅
I hope so too! Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Hugs, Coco
(I'll keep my finger's crossed for you!!!) I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos and finding helpful information in them! Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions! And thanks so much for watching and sharing! Sending hugs your way!!! ~ Coco
Ohmygosh! You all will have to fast forward from 10:30-12:05! I forgot to edit this!!!!
😂
That’s OK, thanks! 😂💝👩🦳
Thank you so much for this video! This helps me understand wigs more! You look fantastic in both! Thanks again!‼️❤️
Hi Pamela! I’m so glad I could be of some help!!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting on my video!! Blessings to you! ❤️
I’m thinking I might try using Aimee to make a topper. I can’t remember the color. Thank you for all of your information. I enjoyed that you compared the two wigs.
You are so welcome! And thank you so much for watching! Hugs and blessings to you! ~ Coco
Hugs! ~ Coco🤗
Thank you for the comparative review. That was super helpful, Sandy! Haha, I’ve been calling you Coco. Sorry about that!
You can call me whatever you like! I started calling myself Sandie and then I switched to Coco. Nothing like confusing the masses!!! LOL! Thanks so much for watching and sharing!!! Hugs!! ~ Coco
Hi Sandy, thanks for the review. This was a very good comparison and really. But I had another question I like the way you do your eyeliner. It really helps lift your eyes. I would love for you to do a review on how to do that eyeliner like that. I know it’s not a wig review, but it really looks nice thank you.
Hi Suzanne! Lucky for you I had lots of requests a couple of years ago for the same thing so I made a tutorial on how I do my makeup 3 different ways! Here's the link:

Have fun!!! And thanks so much for watching and sharing! Hugs, Coco
This is my "maiden voyage" watching one of your videos. Nice review of both of these PY wigs. If I was serious about making a purchase, I think I'd pick Aimee. They both looked great on you!
Love the color, what color is it from Paula?
They are both in Silvery Moon SF51/60. I wear this color almost all the time! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment on my video! Hugs and blessings to you!! ❤️
My Natural white light white hair I do have And I wear it short Nice watching you❤😊
Thanks so much for watching, Pauline! And thanks for being such a wonderful part of my RUclips community! Hugs! ~ Coco
Love them both.
Coco have you tried Paula Young Dance? I know we both have the same measurements I have always wondered how it would look on us. Just wondering, thanks.
Hi Janet! Yes I have already reviewed her and here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/aapYbAP87Vc/видео.html
Have fun!!! And thanks for watching!!!🥰❤️
I screen shot some pics of you showing the Paula Young Meg wig, but now I can't find that video. It wasn't this video comparing Meg to Amie but rather just the Meg by itself. Has that been taken down? If not, can you let me know where to find it, please?
I haven't removed any videos, but I also know that I haven't done a review of Meg by herself and was thinking I should do that. Your comment has made me sure of it! I'll be sure to make a full video on Meg--she deserves it!!! Be sure to subscribe and click on the "All" button so that you'll be notified of when I release that video! And thanks so much for watching and sharing!!! Hugs, Coco
thank you so much. they both look great on you.
Love all of your reviews but I was wondering if you could also add if a wig is low density or not. Thanks so much for all that you do. 💕
Hi Linda! Yes, I usually try to include that information. This video was one of the first ones I ever did and I was still learning what information needs to be included. Hopefully as you watch more videos, you'll see that! Maybe I should redo this one? Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Hugs! ~ Coco
I have a small face.. I bought Meg and the back is much longer in the flip.. should I have the back layered a little?
You can always have her trimmed. Just be sure your stylist takes very little off so as not to destroy the "flip."
Hi Jean! It's ok if you call me Coco--that's what my grandchildren and my students call me!!! Have you seen my video on "Are Toppers for You?" I demonstrate how to use a different kind of wig grip on those. Please check that out and if you still have questions, please be sure to let me know via Messaging (that way our conversation won't get lost!) Blessings!!💗
So helpful; thank you!
You're so welcome! And thanks so much for watching and sharing! ~ Coco
Very nice!
Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Hugs! ~ Coco
Can you show more of the sides of the wig and around the ear? I don't have hair and it is important to me.
Hi L N! This was one of my first videos I made and I wasn’t as thorough as I have been on all my other videos and I apologize for that. Do you think it would be worth re-doing? Hugs!! ❤️❤️❤️
You are amazing Coco. Your videos are beyond helpful and you have a “best girlfriend” personality.💝
Thank you so much--You're too kind and I cherish your comment a bout "a best girlfriend personality!" So many of us venture into the RUclips frontier being so alone, and it's amazing to me that we can develop relationships with each other in spite of that! I'm grateful for viewers like you who take the time to see beyond the content I post in my videos. Thank you so much, Mexicolivingevery minute!!!! Hugs, Coco
Please, what color is your original color in this video, the long wig? thank you
Hi Beth! It’s not really a wig. It is a topper and it is in the color, sugar and spice 17/101. It is the long curly topper in the versa, fiber product by Paul Young.
Can these wigs be curled a bit by spraying water and using a plastic curler? I like more of a bump at the crown.
Amie will have a better chance at giving you more bump and Meg. Thanks again! Hugs, Coco
@@cocoshairsolutions Thank you sooo much! :D
Great video!
Both are lovely. What color are these?
These are both Silvery Moon SF51/60
@@lindahays1157 Oooooh !!! Catalog I received today says Meg $29.99!!!! (code #493852) Couldn't get the code to work online but if you call them and tell them it should work!
Amie is $39.99
Really! I will give it a try. I do have a LOT of wigs.
Thank you so much!! So helpful.
Hi Mary!! So glad this was helpful for you!! I like comparing similar styles and you’ll find several videos in my library where I do comparisons. I hope you’ll enjoy them as well! Thanks so much for watching and being a part of this community!!! Hugs and blessings to you!! ❤️❤️❤️
What do you wear under them to hold the wig on?
Hi Sue! I'm wearing a Wig Grip Band and here is the link to my review on how to use them: ruclips.net/video/icG8mgUQrr0/видео.html
Thanks for commenting!!!
Where can I buy a freedom wig with dark roots in gold blond or gold blond❓
Hi Janis! You can purchase Freedom from me for 10% off msrp+free shipping in the U.S. or you can order online at:
godivassecretwigs.com/products/freedom-w-roots-medium-wig
Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Hugs, Coco
i like the Meg better for me. I think I will order her!
I wear Meg a lot and think she's a great little wig. But be aware that if you get her in the Silvery Moon, White, or Silver colors, she might show the wefts. That's why I put the dark roots in her so that they woudn't show. Thanks so much for watching and sharing, Yvette! Hugs, Coco
Love your glasses
Also, do these have permatease? I need "Poof"! :D
Meg has less than Amie, so if "Poof" is what you want, then Amie's your girl! Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Coco 😊
Can you see the wefting on the top of these? What color is that?
The wefting is very well covered on these two wigs, the color of both is Silvery Moon SF51/60.
Only problem for me is meg comes in petite..thats why I'm a meg fan...xxx..both cute tho..ty..
~ Coco
I like PY wigs but do Amy wefts show? Sometimes they do with those wigs.
We all knew Meg and Amy were sisters. They look great on you.
They never tell you how much permatease is in them
I donate the wigs I don’t like. Someone will be grateful.
That's wonderful--do you donate to a cancer/hospital society? Thanks for watching and sharing! Hugs, Coco
@@cocoshairsolutions I donate to my local Salvation Army as I know many who work there. They are so grateful and tell me stories of ladies who buy them.
I got meg & it was SO thick & way too long. Returned & reorder & it was ok. So very inconsistent & bad quality control. No more paula young for me !
I'm so sorry you had this experience, but it seems to be a sad, normal part of purchasing from PY. Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Have a great week! Hugs, Coco 😀🤗
You need to do your videos sitting in front of a mirror rather than keeping your audience waiting while you go into another room.
Please forgive me!!! I need to redo this one--it's one of my very first and I was so inexperienced!!! And actually, Meg is one of my all-time favorite wigs. I have her on right now and I wear her in 4 colors. Please be sure to watch my other videos to see the improvements I've made in my editing and production. ARe there any wigs you'd like to see a review of? Thanks so much for watching and sharing! Hugs, Coco 🤗
You talk way to much
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my video! I will take your evaluation into consideration. Blessings to you!
