Yay! Thanks for this look at the transitional colors!! They are all beautiful on you! I started wearing the sort of grays a few years ago. It was kind of a really fun thing in my life. I also love 17/101 sugar and spice. I am so happy that Paula Young has been doing all of these wonderful new colors! There are short styles in them too! I hope that you are having a great week!
Hi Terry Sue! 🤗 That is so cool that you are having fun wearing the grays! 🩶🤍🩶 I had a topper in sugar & spice and that was such a pretty color too! I’m definitely loving that Paula Young has really stepped it up with colors and styles, it’s do fun! Thank you dear, have a great week! xoxo 🩷🌸🤗😘
I have been very interested in Paula Young but have never seen any videos on the wigs. It’s so hard to make a choice with just the stock photos, I really appreciate your participating in this, thank you so much.
You inspired me, girlfriend! 💖😊I’m wearing my Easton in Silvery Moon today. I also just purchased Devon in # 38. I love the gray browns. So much fun for a change. 💐You look gorgeous in all❣️
Brilliant idea for a video tutorial! This is super helpful for us wig sisters as we transition. TYSM for taking the time to show us beautiful styles in the lighter and gray/white colors! Much appreciated Beth!!!!!♥
I’m really happy to know that you found this helpful Lori! Lots of pretty shades to choose from. I’m loving their color selections at Paula Young as of late, they’ve really stepped it up! Thank you! 🩷🌸🌸🩷
Love these wigs! My first few wigs were in Vanilla Swirl and I just purchased a JS Beachy in Champagne. They are all gorgeous & compliment my skin tone & age well. Your videos are so helpful & inspiring! 🩷
Oh I'm so happy to hear that Carly, I think Vanilla Swirl is truly a beautiful color, just outstanding! I think you'll really love Champagne too, I'm planning to start ordering more in that shade, it's quite lovey! I'm always happy to help and inspire my wig sisters! Thank you so much dear! 💖💖💖
I've been tempted by Bindi but didn't, so glad I watched this as the color in your video is way lighter than in the catalog it looks more similar to Honey w some highlights, love the video.
Beautiful colors! They all look good on you!! I don’t wear gray…it washes me out. But it’s nice that we have the option. We’re all different & many women prefer the gray shades! We’re blessed in that we have so many choices…there’s something for everyone!
I wouldn't know what color or style to order from that site without this video. I have longer, straight, fine hair BUT I live in Florida so it doesn't matter how much time or products etc I use on my hair, it's back to it's regular state of straight, and 0 volume, before I even leave my house so it ends up in a low bun (not even a cute one) with a headband. My hair when styled for that 5 minutes looks like Bindi but just all blonde. I'm 54 with no gray but love that toasted marshmallow look. I'm going to see if I can pull it off lol My mom is a wig lady and got me a pretty, shorter one when we were in vegas but I felt like it was obvious and that everyone knew lol
Ohhh I'm so happy to help and really glad to know that you saw some that you like on here! I know what you mean about the heat and humidity ruining our hair, that's what I love about synthetic wigs, their styles are always looking great! 💛 Bindi is a really nice one and toasted marshmallow is a beautiful color, and in the sunlight it looks more platinum blonde rather than gray. Really a good color. Oh how fun that your mom is into wigs, I love that. and y'know, I bet no one knew in vegas and it's Vegas baby so nobody cares ... what happens there stays therer! lol 🤣😂🤣
Excellent I love the silver gray but I'd love to have you show some in the longer bobs. If they come in these colors I would love for you to have a video with those styles.. you're beautiful Beth..❤
Thank you! I agree, it is really hard to tell the colors from the little swatches or stock photos, that's why I think review videos are so helpful! 💜💜💜
You read my mind. Although I’m “up there” in age, I never ever had the guts to try to gradually go gray on my wigs. My bio hair (very similar to your amount) is sort of pepper with a little salt thrown in. What color(s) would be good transition colors?
First off, I say wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident regardless of your age! 🤗👍 This video is for those who want to go gray. I really think the toasted marshmallow shade and champagne are both really great transition colors! Hope that helps dear! 💞🩷🤗
These are beautiful transition colors. I have several transitional greys, but my family prefer me in blonde shades. I guess they’re not ready to see me go grey!! lol
Thank you! I know what you’re saying too, I’m wearing my typical honey or nutmeg, or caramel kiss shades on the daily. I’m thinking eventually I may do more of the champagne and toasted marshmallow shades! 🩷🤗👍
Beth…this is off topic, but would you address whether or not one can cut (or have their stylist cut) some fringe pieces under the nape of an updo to make the nape area look more natural? Does it depend on the type of nape on the cap? Thank you!
Yes, absolutely! 👍 you can trim a few pieces at the nape or have a stylist do it. I usually do it myself with a razor and just a few fine pieces, different lengths so it looks natural! 🩷🤗👍
I looked at Theo. Pretty but so flat on top. You get them more fluffy volume on top. If I get, will have to really work it somehow to fluff it and raise it off the cap. Any suggestions.??? Plus I will shorten to shoulder length. Just slightly below.
Theo is such a great style and super versatile too! I wear it in a simple updo with a claw clip when we go for walks and it's very comfortable and works great! For volume, Spray it with dry shampoo and then get in and dig at the permatease. Hang it upside down everytime and that will help the fibers loosen up and pull away from the cap. You can also give it a shot of a blow dryer inside the cap to blow the hair away from the cap! 💗💗💗
You are so good doing these videos. I liked all except Bobby. I liked the style not the color. I though it washed you out. Thanks for all all your input. It sure is helpful. Bless you!
The prettiest reds are Golden Ginger and Auburn Sugar Rooted. They are limited styles but you can search the Paula Young website for specific colors and all wigs available will come up. 🧡🧡🧡
I also think they send Beth the best ones. So many I’ve sent back. One Sunset not the same as my first. By J Smith. So flat and nerdy looking at the forehead. I have to put lots of effort into fixing. I’m 73 and I don’t feel like it salons cost too much. 🙄
Ohhh my dear, I don't get sent the best ones, I go online and purchase my wigs just like everyone else and I can tell you firsthand that the customer service reps don't know who I am! lol 😂🤣😂
I get so frustrated. I have Heidi in that color and nothing volume like that. Plus it’s a little sparse on top. I have some skills but I can’t get them like that. You have to be able to work them like Beth. We can’t all do that. I have two silver Sunsets by Jacqueline Smith. One is so flat on top. I don’t know how I’m going to get that top flatness out. Very unflattering. Gotta get them thinned and reset on the bottom
To help with volume, I use dry Shampoo and then really dig in at the fibers on the top and crown, hang my wigs upside down from hooks in my bathrool every day and that really helps to loosen the fibers and help to pull them away from the cap. You can also shoot the inside of the cap with the blow dryer to help the fibers loosen from the cap to give more volume! 💗😊👍
You don’t look your age.😍I do notice that many younger women wear the silver shades just as an alternative to blonde or brunettes. For me, the issue is not so much the color of a wig, but length. I love Heidi, but can’t get past wearing long wigs at my age.🤷♀️
Thank you dear! 🥰😘 I think that younger ladies in their 20s and 30s look like they’re making a fashion statement either gray or silver 🩶 For me personally I think it ages me but I really do like the transition shades like champagne and toasted marshmallow 🩶🤗👍
I don’t understand the rooting in these transitioning wigs. The roots should not be dark. Gray grows from your roots. I would like a brown w/ gray throughout the wig not gray that looks like you are growing out brown.
I see your point in that and maybe they’ll make something like that in the future. 🤗 For me personally, I love the dark rooting and I think it looks beautiful! 🩷
Love the Vanilla swirl on you. Can I get Heidi in Angel Wings? I am transitioning. The Vanilla swirl looks amazing. It looks like a white or platinum. Could be your lights too. Love listening and watching you.
Vanilla swirl is very platinum and it’s a cool shade. I believe Heidi is available in silvers and grays but I’m not sure about Angels wings. It’s really a beautiful style, thank you! 🩷🩷🩷
@@BethsBestHair Thank you so much for answering my question. I know have looked again and love the Vanilla Swirl in Heidi. I also like Bindi. I have Heidi in white. I just wish I had known more when I ordered her as I would have gotten the rooted hair. You look amazing in all of them. I broke my neck about 5 months ago and couldn't get my hair colored. I am a true "Natural Black", my hair is white where the roots have grown out. And I am losing my hair like crazy. Thank you so much. You are so beautiful and kind to everyone. 🥰

BUT.........looks most realistic like an expensive wig
