No, currently photos are supported. To handle word, excel, or other Office files a printer would need a built in Office like client to do the required conversion for the file type, and would need to differentiate between the different Office versions as well. Other complications would be how to decide what to print in an Excel file.

Someone donated a HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer to our church. The printer was never used (still wrapped in the plastic bag, tape, and styrofoam). Unfortunately the SETUP Cartridges were missing. You should be able to find ‘Fast Draft” in the print quality portion of your print settings or it could be found in the output quality portion of your print settings. If I have misunderstood then you could please explain what you meant by you lost signal and downloaded again. Did the printer lose its wireless connection? Did you re-download the software? My paper tray is jammed and stops and sticks out 1/4. I can almost get the tray out but it seems to be stuck on the left side paper holder. Chatted with HP support and he gave no solution. Said HP will call in 24-48 hrs but it's the weekend and I need to print. How do I get the paper tray out?

It is not a paper problem. The entire paper tray is stuck and it looks like the left side metal paper holder is higher than the right side. Therefore it is stopping on something when pulling the tray out. It will only move to 3/4 out and then it stops. There is no paper in it or jammed.

Great video, but why didn't you show how to set it up....on a PC!? Thats the part that's hard. This is all in the manual. Connecting all the drivers and junk on the PC is the hard part, but you just skipped it.
@@HPSupport I figured it out, but if you make a video, you should show all the steps. No one wants to read 800 pages of literature (or 8) to print an essay because something updated on their pc, or the printer randomly decided to not connect after working for a year. The video exists, way not have it show everything so someone doesn't have to look up a manual.

Never mind. I turned it over on it's top, wiggled the tray and it released.

Great video, but why didn't you show how to set it up....on a PC!? Thats the part that's hard. This is all in the manual. Connecting all the drivers and junk on the PC is the hard part, but you just skipped it.

@@HPSupport I figured it out, but if you make a video, you should show all the steps. No one wants to read 800 pages of literature (or 8) to print an essay because something updated on their pc, or the printer randomly decided to not connect after working for a year. The video exists, way not have it show everything so someone doesn't have to look up a manual.

If the issue continues, please contact our technical support by going to Google search and enter 'contact HP worldwide'. Your first option should be the site for contacting HP, when you click on it you will be prompted to choose your country/region.

I've literally tried to get this piece of crap to work for three hours, I will make a video of how to fix it with a sludge hammer!!!!
