- Hi guys! This week I will teach you how to rotate the screen of your arcade cabinet to play vertical games such as Donkey Kong.
This tutorial is for an Astro City, but it works also for a NAC. There might be a RGB remote screwed to the panel, you have to unscrew it before rotating. Regarding Blast City it's even easier, as you just have to remove the black bezel to have directly access to the screen. Careful though: for the Blast there is one cable that needs to be unplugged behind the screen (access through the trap door behind the cabinet).
Enjoy!
Great video. But it's pronounced "TA-TAE" in Japanese. Not "tait". So rotate it counter clockwise? About to do mine now. Thanks!
thanks so much for this, i'm ready to get my back out so i can play some Dimahoo
@ Retro Mike Question, do you swap out the bezel when you turn the monitor vertical? I noticed the borders are now vertical rather than horizontal. Interested since I'm looking @ an Aero City that's up for sale but the borders are vertical and I mainly want to use it for Arcade Fighters and those play horizontal, thanks in advance, cheers.
Hi! Yes you have to swap the Bezel out and rotate it once your screen is back in place, very easy process though! Cheers :)
Does the astro city uses a vga cable like the blast city does?
Hi! No it doesn't unfortunately, only Jamma.
Hi Mike! What is the name of the shooting game running next left?
Hey Dave! The game is Gunbird 2, an awesome vertical shmup made by Psikyo in 1998! Take care!
Like to sell blast city or Astro city to me?
Hehe sorry I'm not not selling :)
Who the fuck is down voting this?!
