Super video! Very informative and good rhythm, exactly what i was looking for - thanks!
Thanks very much!
That silver pre-bond...just truly magnificent!
Just bought my second one....love this watch so much
Hats off to you sir. Excellent video, perhaps one of the best watch history/review videos I have seen to date. I appreciate the well written dialogue, very enjoyable. Thanks!!!
I have been wearing a Seamaster 200 {quartz} , stainless steel with black face for 15 years now. It is the most kick ass watch on the planet. I love mine. There is no other watch I want or need.
I wear mine all the time. It's a terrific time piece.
Perfectly delivered and thoroughly brilliant. It was great seeing some close ups of both models, especially that minty two tone! Always enjoy your video posts.
I just got the blackface gold 40mm auto. Its running consistent 8sec per day. Its very 80s in a good way with dings of a tool watch and gold for decoration. Total hidden gem!
With a service you should be able to get +2 or +3. No more than +6.
I got my prebond 38 mm (quartz). What can I say? It’s so comfortable on my wrist. Its accuracy is fine. My next watch will be Omega Bond co-axial 41 mm.
Just bought one. Hope it delivers quickly.
Love the Pre-Bond. They got so many things right.
Best damn review I have ever seen!!!
+Chris Marshall Thanks!
You are going to make me buy that watch
Brilliant review, thanks
Do you mind if I ask you what your wrist size is? Considering buying one of these.
I had a stainless auto, swapped it in for a Rolex, in my opinion the omega was fare superior in time keeping. Good to see the old Omega again.
Very professional video. I really enjoyed it. Thanks!
Now that's a voice of a narrator and to be honest if the Australian dollar wasn't so low I would of snapped that watch up Matt..
hoplite101able Thanks. Yeah I see your currency is taking it in the keester. Ouch. No question my Pre-Bond is minty minty minty. The only way to get one like this is to send one in to Omega for a full service. But then again, that's not as cool as true NOS. :)
+Matt Stevens (1783pictures) indeed it is ,I found one ages ago on eBay for $1.600 but looked 50 yr old bangladeshi hooker that's was passed around more times than a soccer cup in a world cup series...
I bought the full size automatic all stainless steel with sword hands new in july 1993 in Paris. so not all automatic was with mercedes hands. However I sadly sold it 20 years ago but today I found a new one at an auction I just won.
I miss my mint automatic. I never should have sold it. However, I do very much enjoy wearing my 1441 Quartz edition.
@@ItsTimePictures Thats a lesson, never sell what your in love with.
@@PimpBuick how much does it go for? If I may ask
@@ola3107 incl tax about 1600 euro. good condition, the bezel looks a bit tired though. Full service 6 months ago.
I love this watch, i have a full size Quartz, all stainless steel in very good condition, its very hard to find one of these in good condition, now, i want the automatic version.
I had the 1441 movement, thermo-compensated. When I sent it in on warrantee (rusting hands around the lume) they returned it without the box . . . years later during a service I noticed missing parts in the movement . . . the Lancaster, PA shop had just switched out the movement to the 1438.
On the positive side, the 'pre-bond' is accurate to the second for days on end and I keep it set to the computer clock.
I have two of them, one which I am restoring the watch face and hands with fresh lume sent to me from Switzerland. The one on my wrist had a new face sent to me from Switzerland, but the lume is finally starting to fade and will need a freshing up as well.
Wow. They are NOT supposed to do that without telling you. It's true that 1441 parts and movements are harder to come by, but the parts are available. Weird. Very weird.
@@ItsTimePictures It was in warrantee back in 1990 . . . all they had to do was replace the hands. I have a 7.5-8 inch wrist, so maybe they just switched the band onto a used watch of the same year . . . and they kept the box!
I wrote to Omega HQ to complain, but they ignored me.
I just bought one for $500 I can’t wait to get it!!
Oh cool! Let me know when you have it and how you like it.
It was just shipped today so I’ll definitely let you know.
Matt Stevens ; This review help me to take the decisión to seek and buy one of these.
Very informative video.
Cheers, Matt !
Do the 36mm quartz second generation pre bond omega have a sapphire or mineral crystal glass??!! I can’t find any info online
Only Sapphire.
@@ItsTimePictures oh so all models have sapphire? Thank you so much!
Great video, enjoyed viewing it. Cheers.
GREAT..VIDEO
History mate,good luck
Hi Matt, My father gifted me a 200. The bezel insert is in bas shape. Is it possible to remove and replace the insert? Many thanka
Not from Omega, unfortunately. They ran out of bezels and inserts a number of years ago. There are after market inserts available that look 95% spot on.
Very good review , done well
Nice overview!
Great info thanks buddy.
Enjoyed Matt.
I own the Omega Seamaster 300 and I like the pre bond better looks classic like a Rolex.
Some of them say Professionel and some say Chronometer. What is the difference?
There is a Automatic Full-size in stuning NOS condition actually at ebay germany.
Cannot find it. Link? I'd like to see this.

Hi, long shot but are you considering selling you Seamaster 200m automatic c1109 by any chance?
I sold it a while back to a viewer. I wish I had not. :-)
@@ItsTimePictures Hey, thanks for the reply. Agreed, definitely a mistake!! I do enjoy your videos by the way, you should TV work....stay safe👍
Great video!
Excelent review!
VERY late here. But I have a questio
With the integrated bracelet, this means you cannot replace with a leather or NATO strap? Buying a seamaster now and this would push me towards the bond watch.
Yes, correct. You will not be able to swap the bracelet for a strap.
ARGHHH!! This decision is killing me. Thank you for the info.
great vid!
what did you pay for the automatic?
Nice review. I just bought a Seamaster pre Bond quartz (caliber 1438). Is it a good one? Please, be honest !
Diego Del Barco Excellent. You can’t go wrong. I still have my Quartz and will not flip again. These can be worn anywhere due to the slim profile.
It's Time What about accuracy of the caliber 1438?
It's Time, don t you think it s a pity to have a quartz movement ?? I was about to buy one for 700€ and I changed my mind because of the quartz... I will focus on finding a mechanical specimen instead...
Wait, where do I sign??!???! ;)
Very nice
This is your signature watch. I think you'd regret selling it.
Jonny Casual Yes I would. But the reason behind selling it is sound. Life has regret and one has to deal with it.
Matt Stevens
Believe it or not I saw someone wearing one today on Cape Cod.
Why doesn't the 2254.50 qualify as pre bond?
Because it was released post Brosnan's first film. So it's not Pre-Bond. That distinction is only for the Seamaster 200's.
Thank you.
Your welcome , check out my videos please tell me what you think
Why does my champagne 2 tone quartz measure 38mm?
It's a full size quartz according to this vids face identy chart. Gap between date window and minute marks
I have to open to determine 1441 or 1438
@@rustysmith540 These are actually 39mm, without the crown.

Cool video, but can you not say “Omega” like that
I like to. It makes people crazy.
Matt Stevens well then, I take it back.
A truly hideous watch.
