  • Justification of Study is usually one of the early parts and stages of researches and reports. While this part is very important, it is usually not taught in research classes, books and materials are very few on it and it is among the most taken for granted subjects in research. This taken for granted nature of Justification of Study has, therefore, created knowledge gaps which this video fills. This video is recommended for everyone interested in research and research report writing.

    Very useful sir.
My supervisor ask me to include the both, significance and justification

I don’t know the perspective of your supervisor but I am very sure and I am persuaded that Justification and Significance are largely the same. If you decide to write them separately, you will certainly discover, very soon, that you are writing nearly same thing and pushing same idea. However, I will suggest that you carefully and tactically manage your supervisor so s/he does not see you as being disobedient and heady. You must carefully manage his/her ego even when you have known the truth. I celebrate you for searching for knowledge independently. I wish you well and I pray you will succeed. Meanwhile, thank you very much for visiting the channel and for viewing the video. I appreciate.

Sir I thought Literature review comes in Chapter 2 and Chapter 1 contains the justification of the study, I'm I to do the Literature review then later come back to do the Justification of the study?

The fact is that research is a fractal process. That is, one part is intricately connected to the other. Even though the parts are structured as chapters, that is just for arrangement and organizational reasons. For example, even when you are in Chapter 1, you can be reflecting and working on your Chapter 2 and/or Chapter 3. And, while you can be in Chapter Two, Literature review and Theoretical framework, you can still go back to your Chapter One (under Justification of study) and work on it. Even when you are in Chapter 5/the last chapter, you are free to go back and forth in the research process until you are effectively done. From another professional perspective, even your Justification of study cannot be effectively done without rigorous Literature review. This is because, some vital elements to justify your research can only be effectively obtained after rigorous review of the literature. So, there is nothing to worry about. Feel free to seamlessly navigate the research process until you have a valid and reliable study. I hope this explanation helps? Thank you very much for visiting the channel and for viewing the video. I appreciate your comments.
