Very nice! I just picked a bouquet of beebalm today to try to paint and this came up in my feed. My beebalm is a beautiful dark pink color,(like quin magenta) and I love how the leaves have red in them too. And I love the little leaves under the bulbous part. They're just so interesting and pretty. I don't know how long it will take me to actually try painting them, but I took pictures and made a few sketches, so when I get more confident, I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for showing how you do it. it will help me a lot! Oh, and I love the bee!

So far I feel this is the best tutorial on bumblebee, it’s how I feel/think about colour choices and how they look in my mind, I will definitely try this one
Your painting is beautiful. I like how experienced painters don't seem to stress out over what seems like a *mistake*. I'm over here panicking when the black gets in the yellow and when the pink color pooled up under the flower. But Ellen expertly just swooshes that black paint right off and all is well! And the pink under the flower---I guess she already knew in advance that she was going to make it do that anyway, so no need to get all worked up. Just add another pool of pink to the top of the flower! I love that!
