Could you CMM this part afterwards to show the tolerances the Tormach can hold?
I'd really be interested in this as well. I have heard good and bad about this. It would be nice to get an honest opinion from you guys.
I have a tormach 1100m. Holds between 1-2 thou. Not aerospace worthy but more than good enough for the parts I manufacture.
Hey everyone, I'm going to be starting my first Job as a CNC Machinist, I'm pretty nervous and could use some tips. I will be using a Haas machine. Thanks!
Here's a couple tips...
#1 measure twice, cut once
#2 double and triple check your Z axis value and tool lengths!
(I'd rather scrap a part than scrap a spindle, that would cost thousands of dollars to replace)
#3 don't be scared to ask questions!
(If you don't ask you won't know, until it's too late)
Good Luck and God speed young apprentice!
🤘🤘
I've been drilling thousands of holes going half that speed. I'm going to have to track down some Kennametal go drills
Yep, got to push in order to break the chip.
Hey, I just found your channel and respect your videos and what you all are doing. I'm a machinist out here at Travis AFB. I joined the Air Force (AF) in '91 and went through the AF welding/machining tech schools and have been doing the trade ever since. I'm retired from the AF now but was lucky enough to come back in my old shop as a civilian doing this job. I just shared your channel to a "closed group" for all AF Metals Technology (aircraft welders/machinists). Told them to follow you and learn. Keep up with the great videos.
Awesome... We’re in Rocklin CA
IAM interesting to work your shop I am from India. Now I am working in Aerospace interior parts production in cnc plz consider me sir
Great video. No talking just work!
Nice one.... Waiting for the OP2 fixture design.... 😍
Short but sounds ,I like that
together in OP2
Material stress and warp? Part like that would be a nightmare if you don't do it just right.
We do most of our parts 5 axis !!!
Dovetail part, load on 5 axis machine, cut complete, leaving break away tooling tabs. No form jaws on most of our parts.
Looks a little slow on the hemstich.
5 axis is the way to go.
Exactly,
If you have skills, you can do miracles on a Bridgeport:-)
Sir your videos are excellent I want to learn powermill software so plz make some video related to it.
The computer programmers now that's the talent.
Hello am 41 and been working on CNCs for a long time i know the basics and thats it. Working pay day to pay day is old as me and my kids need a father that can give them things. Right now i can't am new to your channel but i love it.. Any tips how i can get out of just running the machine and get into programs and getting myself to a high-level ...
Very nice, impressive now show me Paul Alan's programme
Rigid Tapping?
I think that + model got the spindle upgrade when no one was looking !!
Listen to that baby bog
It’s only 1.5 HP :-)
But hey, starts at $7K and plugs into your garage...
not everyone has $100K to spend
@@TITANSofCNC I wasnt saying its a bad thing. Nice to see a machine fully utilized.
Respect for metric values 👍
Gold!
Good work 👍
Hi
What CAM software do you use?
Titan: lot of Indian guys following you..
Indians are known to be good trackers.
