I never would doubt the value your team and or the value of great home builders bring to a project. If was building in Winnipeg you would hands down be the builder I would choose your homes are beautiful and high quality but most importantly we have a relationship and you exude honesty and professionalism. People are cheap and always want a deal. Most things of quality are expensive.

We can’t seem to get under $370 per foot in the SF Bay Area for a low end no frills build project… mostly due to labor costs but also due to product companies raising cost based on zip code
Yes, prices have been on the rise for everything! However, it’s more about material shortages and lead time than anything else right now. Prices have come down substantially, but lead time are still incredible.
Next weeks video is about what building right is like and what to consider during these weird times.

I see my question answered below, "Do/Will you build in another state"(Indiana). I wondered if preferred builders were for hire if the price was right(Or could recommend a trustworthy comrade). I understand that would be a lot of demand. I've subscribed to keep learning, for comparison(s) and overall knowledge. Thanks again!
No one in Indiana that I know of or can recommend. Doesn’t mean there aren’t amazing builders.

Will your company extend their luxury services to development projects in Michigan?
Yes. We do offer Client Representative services for those outside our building area where we work with the client to design, plan and coordinate with the local trades.
can you do a video on considerations taken when building a house where a septic and well is needed.
What would you like to know?
I always wonder about the resale value of these very high end homes. They are very impressive, but if I can spend that kind of money, why would I buy someone else’s vision ? Certainly, there is an advantage of time, but I would think the potential buyers would be few and far between. Because of economics, you are starting out with less than 5 percent of home buyers. After the 5 percent hurdle, you have to find some who has your exact taste. Not a problem I will personally have to solve, but always makes me wonder.
Time is the only non-renewable. Don’t underestimate that for the wealthy.
How much cash do you need to have on hand before starting the build? What about cash on hand needed for a standard build?

Westchester resident here. Our house is brick on brick colonial. My dream would be to build a steel frame 12ft ceiling basement - 2nd floor, open floor plan house. I would like exposed steel beams both inside and outside. I’ve been told it will cost from a lot to too much unless it will be my forever home.

you mentioned 1000 per sq ft or sqm, how much could it cost per sq ft if you really spared no expense(bookmatched marble....something modern and tasteful) and not including the land,i live in a cheap land country?
Do you build timber frame houses? They are grate for Canadian climate. I wonder how much it will be to build one of those.

Is brick more expensive than using wood or do you still have to use wood mostly even when building with brick walls etc?
I was going to attempt having my home custom built.but after this reality check I doubt it.

Is it possible to build a home based on an existing one?
Anything is possible. But might be more expensive than actually worth it.
I'm not a mathamagician, but how did you get a build budget of $2.8 mil? $4mil - $1.5mil for lot = $2.5 mil - 30% (5% + 10% +15%) = $1.4 mil.
It said 1.2mil to 1.5mil for the land. Ours was 1.2mil. (4 million - 1.2 million is 2.8 million). Thanks for watching.
What is the contingent cost? Is that for unforeseen circumstances?
Normally 10% if the estimate is class B and A. Higher for rougher estimates. Is can decrease as the estimates get more granular. Make sense?

Nope. Building is expensive. Coming down, but still not considered "inexpensive" by any means.
Do a 10,000 square footage luxary home or 12,000 square footage house you always do the bare minimum with porches

depends on your location and how much higher bit coin is going to rise in the future.

Prices are only going up. Material pricing is insane, and the the power of the dollar keeps going down.

Yes, that is considered a "Client Rep". It's a great idea to have one if you don't know your builder or have a non-transparent builder.
