Atleast in Pokemon Emerald you get to choose one johto starter after you complete the hoenn dex, also in the recent games i think you get an shiny charm as a reward for completing the pokedex.
Nice job dude, even though it was hard you still pulled through to do this. I'm absolutely amazed at this. You had to play through Colosseum and XD. You've had to have spent at least 400 hours doing this in all right? I give you props for this as this is something i could never do. More channels like yours needs more attention because this is just.. amazing.
Damn memories.. all I ever completed was the Hoenn Pokedex in Emerald. Today it's so easy to hack Pokemon into the game that even if I did it legitimately it would just feel like a waste of time rather than an accomplishment
I am so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I loved it so much when I was a kid who adventured and caught all the Pokémon before hacking and cheating. The value of a complete Pokedex has degraded so much. I remember when my friends and I would discuss how to get Pokémon and where we found what, as well as rumors on how to get certain Pokémon. Man, those were the days.
Well he can tranfer all the pokemon from his copy of leafgreen where he has all the gen 1-3 pokemon so all he has to do is transfer them to diamond, pearl, or platinum and catch all the pokemon in the sinnoh dex which makes the next generations easiee because he can just transfer all his previously caught pokemon to the next game and all he woukd have to worry about is catching the pokemon in the regional dex.
So it's now impossible to get Mew or Deoxys without cheating in Gen 3. But you can still get Celebi and Jirachi! The PAL version of Pokemon Channel has a bonus disk with Jirachi (around $40 on ebay),and the Japanese version of Colosseum has a Celebi bonus disc. (around $50)
I've always been curious about this... how do you get all Johto pokemon in Fire Red? There were no Gen 2 games for the gameboy (only gameboy color). Are they all available in the Fire Red & Leaf Green postgame? Serious question because I had always thought that the National Dex was impossible in the Gen I Remakes + Gen III
A lot of them are available in Emerald. As for the starters, your best bet is the gamecube games. And you'll need them for the Gen II legendaries as well.
This takes sooo much work. I'm working on mine as well. I have to restart my Emerald games, I need a copy of Ruby for those exclusives. I also need to restart XD and Colosseum to get one of the dogs and Ho-Oh, Lugia and Celebi. Crazy how completing the Dex involves all Pokemon games released in the 3rd Gen. There aren't many people in the world that know the pain of not being able to get Mew, Celebi, and Deoxys in the gen 3 games. I've almost got as many as you but I'm missing Ho-oh and Milotic. (I totally understand why you did Milotic last). It took me like 2 years just to get the 381 I have now. I've also tried completely filling out the trainer card. (4 stars, all blacked out stickers, and maxed out money). I really do respect you considering you've cured all the shadows in Colosseum and beaten the 100 trainer challenge, AND you've overcome the ultimate challenge of evolving feebas. You also played through XD just to get one pokemon. It takes insane patience or insane boredom to achieve the kind of stuff you have. I congratulate you, considering Professor Oak didn't quite appreciate your amazing achievement.
I forget it now, but it believe it was XD that got me the gen 2 starter pokemon. They were in their second form so I ended up breeding. Definitely the easiest way to get them.
I think your talking about Colosseum because in XD you can only get the gen 2 starters in their first forms, but yea when I looked for how to get the gen 2 starters all the methods looked really difficult so when I played through Colosseum I was surprised you could get the second evolutions so easily.
you can warp to the event islands using a gameshark, action replay or a codebreaker, and the pokemon will pass a cheat check because u caught them legit, you just warped to the island. So you could get all the deoxys and get mew. You can also play japanese colosseum with the bonus disc to get celebi.
i'm also completing my pokedex on fire red legit, on my emerald i used the cheat to get deoxys, mew, ho-oh, lugia and latios, i dont have pokemon coloseum so i couldnt get them legit but i wraped to the island and caught them, its unfair to get the pokedex not complete because you cant play the events anymore so i only allowed my self to use that island cheat code to get those legendaries, i'll probably use a wild encounter cheat on my emerald to find celebi and jirachi because having those 2 slots forever open will drive me insane xDD but i respect your decision nice job man!

Good job man! Sad to see that it is all for nothing though... I'm not gonna trade or cheat, so can settle for my Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mewtwo and Entei. However I'm not gonna have 2 fire types on my team, so I stored Moltres and took out Gyarados (becauce it was my first shiny card). And of course my Venusaur as the 6th on my team (because who dumps the starter pokemon from their team? Ever seen Ash dump Pikachu?)
my only question is how did u get chicou and lantern? They are no where to be found in all 5 of the gen 3 games, and you cant transfer pokemon from gen 2 to 3. EDIT: Turns out you can get chinchou in the Underwatrer area in Ruby/Sapphire. My bad

EruRoraitoX I traded them with myself by connecting my GBA to the Gamecube Gameboy player. The final trade was even shown in this video. Also the Legendary dogs were much easier to get from the gamecube games than the GBA games.
+Markus Sallkvist This is true but you would also need a japanese GBA/game to trade it to because it will not communicate to an American game and I do believe you would need a Japanese Gamecube or a loader disk to play it then to trade it to because it will not communicate to an American game. But yes, it is possible. Just not within the realm of realistic for most people, including myself.
Hey man, how do you managed to get each one of the Gen 2 starters? (Chickorita, Cynda and Totodile) Since you have to fill the hoenn dex to get ONE of these 3.. a bit annoying. I'm on my way doing the same thing, but to think about beat R/S/E 3 times and transfer my pokes 3 times to each save is pretty discouraging..

Max Andrade From what I remember, you'll need to play a large portion of the game before it actually lets you trade them out. But make sure you are saving before battling them to catch them because there are opportunities to miss pokemon completely if you don't catch them.
Yepperz Yes, my intent was to transfer all of them over to the next gen and just pick up the missing pokemon, but after transferring over the entire unown alphabet I decided that I like the fact that they are all on one cart. And that if I bring them over its a one way trip.
You did this with all Pokémon, but I did this with every game, every console (x3 (times three)) and btw they are all shiny. LEGIT. Because with every glitches there are it is very well possible
Most pokemon games you can't even shiny hunt like you can in modern ones. It sounds like an absolutely pointless waste of time to catch the same shiny pokemon 3 times. Let alone for every single game and every single pokemon. If you did that, you would have easily logged over a dozen thousand hours. I have high doubts on the legitimacy of your claim.
IMaximusDMI Yeah I may have overreacted xD Im still on it, and for Pokemon like mew, I used the shiny Gyarados glitch for gen 1 & 2. Of course trading to the 6. Gen is not possible yet, but I'm waiting for the 2. Gen to come out for 2/3ds. And yes, it's a very big waste of time, but I like farming, like in borderlands. It's kind of a hobby and challenge for me. I'm gonna post some videos how to get them in shiny, but only far far far in the future (6-8 years), because by that time, it will be highly possible to trade from gen 1- whatever came out by that time. You got two options. Short option beat colosseum trade the johto starters and breed them. Long option complete the ruby/sapphire/emerald Pokédex 3 times and trade them. Yeah you may just want to get colosseum if you don’t want to play a game 3 times.
Also, someone dumped the files online for the aurora ticket event. Meaning that there’s now a legit way to get to birth island and catch deoxys. Apparently the Toys R Us Mew event from 2006 is also availiable

+Ισίδωρος Καραποστόλης National Dex will include entries all the way until the end of Hoenn. You just need to trade them over to fill in its pokedex entry. Hoenn starters came from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.
I'm not sure if you are trolling but this was done on the actual cartridges with no cheats or emulators. All trades were done by linking my GBA SP with my Gamecube with Gameboy Player. I cannot help you with your situation.
whats the uncatchable pokemons and witch games did you use and trade over from? im currently on the grind. i know im not legit because i use an emulator. but its fun ether way. i also catch everything with regular pokeballs. so it has taken some time now :) i might hack in the pokemon i cant get like mew. but in going to hack in the ticket so i can go and catch it by my selfe.
+xBooMzHeadShotx I used every single 3rd gen game. Leaf Green, Fire Red, Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald, as well as the gamecube games. Pokemon Colosseum and XD are the only way to get Ho-oh and Lugia legit and it was an easier way to get Johto starters and legendary dogs without restarting the gba games.
You don't but I believe the only other way to get the Johto starters is completing the pokedex in Emerald, and even then you'll only get one and have to restart to get the other 2. Lugia and Ho-oh have no other way besides the event.
Great job! You've inspired me to do this on my Fire Red save. I'm currently finishing up Leaf Green for the first time. Gotta do it again (for the 3 legendary dogs). Then, it's on to Emerald 3 times for those darn Johto starters! Hopefully I do eventually complete it. Also, is it required to get Ho-oh and Lugia? Because I don't have Colosseum. It'd be nice if I didn't have to buy a Gamecube as well as everything else I'd need.
+Jkk39 Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Jirachi and Deoxys are not needed to complete the National Pokedex on 3rd generation games. To restart 3 times each game to get the 3 legendary dogs and the 3 Johto starters is a pain, i did it last summer. But the satisfaction you get really worth it, so don't give up and good luck!

Yes, you will need to make sure your battery is working properly to evolve them. Both of mine ended up being from the gamecube games as you can tell from the levels in this video. A main factor as to why I ended up collecting on Leaf Green to was avoid any battery issues as Leaf Green doesn't use a battery.

To get a legit celebi you need to get it from the Japanese Pokemon Colosseum and bonus disc and trade it to a japanese gen 3 game. It could then be traded to the cartridge of your region. This is something that's beyond reasonable for me. But it is possible.
IMaximusDMI if you actually have the money to do this your free to try. But shipping these old games from japan is going to be priceless especially since your buying 3 different products just for the sake of obtaining 1 myhthical Pokémon.
You can get Mew and Deoxys legitimately now. Even Celebi. But Celebi is a pain to get. Have to get through Japanese Colosseum purified all 48 pokemon and complete a Japanese R/S.
I love how half the people say cheat or missing Pokémon. Cmon guys, its not that hard to do. Don't get me wrong it takes A LOT of time. Also with the missing Pokémon, mew is unobtainable (you're not able to get him in any gen 3 games). Other Pokémon come on bonus disc.
There are so many reason to play pokemon. You just have to do what drives you. Catching them all is no easy feat. This video has less than half of the total pokemon available in today's generation. When I played X and Y I just focused on catching and training the pokemon I really wanted and I wanted to use in online battles. After the pokebank was released and hacked pokemon made their way through, I sort of lost interest in that aspect.
IMaximusDMI same I mean there are backdoors to getting the pokemon to real carts and it is also ultimately cheaper to play(assuming you didn't grow up with these games)and is a good option for just playing the main story if nothing else.
Don't know if you'll see this, but TECHNICALLY it is possible to still get Celebii and Deoxys. You can get Celebii from the Japanese bonus disc. You'd need a Japanese copy of either R/S/E/FR/LG, a Japanese gamecube, a Japanese copy of Colosseum, a save game with all 48 shadow Pokemon purified, two GBAs or GBA SPs, a GBA to Gamecube adapter, and two wireless adapters and/or one link cable (to trade back to your original game). You can get Deoxys from Nintendo of Italy. To do this, you'd need a PAL (European) copy of Emerald or FR/LG, as well as a friend in Italy OR you could find someone online who'd be willing to send it in from Italy, as they don't accept cartridges from anywhere else (the person sending it in has to live in Italy). I can't blame you for not getting them (costs a crazy amount of money for either one) but just letting you know. Japanese Celebi just wasn't worth it. I did know about it. Deoxys I didn't know. I think its bizarre if they are still accepting carts in the mail to add a legit Deoxys to your cart. Its considered an old game now.
I know. I kinda freaked out myself when I found out about it xD . Actually sent a PAL cart to a guy on reddit (what am I going to do with a 4th cartridge of FireRed anyway). Hopefully it all works out. When all is said and done, it'll cost me about $100. But I've wanted to hunt a legit Shiny Deoxys for years, so I jumped on the opportunity. A moderator on the subreddit sent it to him as well (he seems pretty trustworthy). But yeah. Pretty crazy.
You can obtain celebi with a special japanese gamecube disc and mew from the far away island can be obtain making a glitch in the spanish version of the emerald (that mew can be transfered up to sun and moon)
It's possible to catch Lugia, Ho-Oh and Deoxys in games with the tickets (files availables right now) and trade/add Celebi from the JAA event. You can get Mew from ROM of Mew :v
For Lugia you need Pokemon XD and Purify XD001(shadow Lugia) For Ho-oh you need Pokemon Colusseum and do the 100 battles thing which is true pain btw And Deoxys is unobtaiable right now

If you use gameshark to get them, they aren't legit.
i mean the game recognizes them as not hacked because it wasn't manipulated wild pokemon data or hacked into the pc, it was a legit encounter

i'm also completing my pokedex on fire red legit, on my emerald i used the cheat to get deoxys, mew, ho-oh, lugia and latios, i dont have pokemon coloseum so i couldnt get them legit but i wraped to the island and caught them, its unfair to get the pokedex not complete because you cant play the events anymore so i only allowed my self to use that island cheat code to get those legendaries, i'll probably use a wild encounter cheat on my emerald to find celebi and jirachi because having those 2 slots forever open will drive me insane xDD but i respect your decision nice job man!

However I'm not gonna have 2 fire types on my team, so I stored Moltres and took out Gyarados (becauce it was my first shiny card). And of course my Venusaur as the 6th on my team (because who dumps the starter pokemon from their team? Ever seen Ash dump Pikachu?)

I traded them with myself by connecting my GBA to the Gamecube Gameboy player. The final trade was even shown in this video.
Also the Legendary dogs were much easier to get from the gamecube games than the GBA games.

Hey man, how do you managed to get each one of the Gen 2 starters? (Chickorita, Cynda and Totodile) Since you have to fill the hoenn dex to get ONE of these 3.. a bit annoying. I'm on my way doing the same thing, but to think about beat R/S/E 3 times and transfer my pokes 3 times to each save is pretty discouraging..

From what I remember, you'll need to play a large portion of the game before it actually lets you trade them out. But make sure you are saving before battling them to catch them because there are opportunities to miss pokemon completely if you don't catch them.

Most pokemon games you can't even shiny hunt like you can in modern ones. It sounds like an absolutely pointless waste of time to catch the same shiny pokemon 3 times. Im still on it, and for Pokemon like mew, I used the shiny Gyarados glitch for gen 1 & 2. Of course trading to the 6. Gen is not possible yet, but I'm waiting for the 2. Gen to come out for 2/3ds. And yes, it's a very big waste of time, but I like farming, like in borderlands. It's kind of a hobby and challenge for me. I'm gonna post some videos how to get them in shiny, but only far far far in the future (6-8 years), because by that time, it will be highly possible to trade from gen 1- whatever came out by that time.

You got two options.
Short option beat colosseum trade the johto starters and breed them.
Long option complete the ruby/sapphire/emerald Pokédex 3 times and trade them.

No you can't, there is no link cable for the DS or DS lite. You'll only be able to trade with a GBA or GBA player with link cable.

The only 2 Hoenn pokemon you get are Azurrill and Wynaut and Marrill line is exclusive to Leaf Green unless you trade one from RSE lol

I'm not sure if you are trolling but this was done on the actual cartridges with no cheats or emulators. All trades were done by linking my GBA SP with my Gamecube with Gameboy Player. I cannot help you with your situation.

Pokemon Colosseum and XD are the only way to get Ho-oh and Lugia legit and it was an easier way to get Johto starters and legendary dogs without restarting the gba games.

You don't but I believe the only other way to get the Johto starters is completing the pokedex in Emerald, and even then you'll only get one and have to restart to get the other 2. Lugia and Ho-oh have no other way besides the event.

Great job! You've inspired me to do this on my Fire Red save. I'm currently finishing up Leaf Green for the first time. Gotta do it again (for the 3 legendary dogs). Then, it's on to Emerald 3 times for those darn Johto starters! Hopefully I do eventually complete it. Also, is it required to get Ho-oh and Lugia? Because I don't have Colosseum. It'd be nice if I didn't have to buy a Gamecube as well as everything else I'd need.
+Jkk39 Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Jirachi and Deoxys are not needed to complete the National Pokedex on 3rd generation games. To restart 3 times each game to get the 3 legendary dogs and the 3 Johto starters is a pain, i did it last summer. But the satisfaction you get really worth it, so don't give up and good luck!

Yes, you will need to make sure your battery is working properly to evolve them. Both of mine ended up being from the gamecube games as you can tell from the levels in this video. A main factor as to why I ended up collecting on Leaf Green to was avoid any battery issues as Leaf Green doesn't use a battery.
Just noticed some thing that bummed me out...he completed the whole National Dex in less time than it took me to catch a Chansey.... As to your accomplishment IMaximusDMI good job man herculean effort. On a side note damn Nintendo and there event exclusive Pokemon.

To get a legit celebi you need to get it from the Japanese Pokemon Colosseum and bonus disc and trade it to a japanese gen 3 game. It could then be traded to the cartridge of your region. This is something that's beyond reasonable for me. But it is possible.
IMaximusDMI if you actually have the money to do this your free to try.
But shipping these old games from japan is going to be priceless especially since your buying 3 different products just for the sake of obtaining 1 myhthical Pokémon.
You can get Mew and Deoxys legitimately now. Even Celebi. But Celebi is a pain to get. Have to get through Japanese Colosseum purified all 48 pokemon and complete a Japanese R/S.
I love how half the people say cheat or missing Pokémon. Cmon guys, its not that hard to do. Don't get me wrong it takes A LOT of time. Also with the missing Pokémon, mew is unobtainable (you're not able to get him in any gen 3 games). Other Pokémon come on bonus disc.

There are so many reason to play pokemon. You just have to do what drives you. Catching them all is no easy feat. This video has less than half of the total pokemon available in today's generation. When I played X and Y I just focused on catching and training the pokemon I really wanted and I wanted to use in online battles. After the pokebank was released and hacked pokemon made their way through, I sort of lost interest in that aspect.

I played the cartridge. I don't see the point in emulating it. Its not real, and you can even transfer to later gens if you wanted.
IMaximusDMI same I mean there are backdoors to getting the pokemon to real carts and it is also ultimately cheaper to play(assuming you didn't grow up with these games)and is a good option for just playing the main story if nothing else.
Any pokemon that came from an emulator or a computer program and made its way to a legit cartridge is cheated.

Don't know if you'll see this, but TECHNICALLY it is possible to still get Celebii and Deoxys. You can get Celebii from the Japanese bonus disc. You'd need a Japanese copy of either R/S/E/FR/LG, a Japanese gamecube, a Japanese copy of Colosseum, a save game with all 48 shadow Pokemon purified, two GBAs or GBA SPs, a GBA to Gamecube adapter, and two wireless adapters and/or one link cable (to trade back to your original game). You can get Deoxys from Nintendo of Italy. To do this, you'd need a PAL (European) copy of Emerald or FR/LG, as well as a friend in Italy OR you could find someone online who'd be willing to send it in from Italy, as they don't accept cartridges from anywhere else (the person sending it in has to live in Italy). I can't blame you for not getting them (costs a crazy amount of money for either one) but just letting you know.

Deoxys I didn't know. I think its bizarre if they are still accepting carts in the mail to add a legit Deoxys to your cart. Its considered an old game now.

You can obtain celebi with a special japanese gamecube disc and mew from the far away island can be obtain making a glitch in the spanish version of the emerald (that mew can be transfered up to sun and moon)
