Most football fans forget, United were missing their two most influential midfielders, Scholes playmaker and Captain Roy Keane. The fact they made a close game of it without two key members of their first team speaks volumes for the manager and players who were available. Ferguson was always able to get the most out of his players, sometimes these players were not of a high standard. But he demanded a level of playing, never say die, no matter whos on the pitch. Look at his squad for his final season 2012/2013. Most were ordinary players, yet he could muster them to win the league. Some fans say this final was a fluke, no way was it. If you assess how they won the league that year, beating a great Arsenal team, winning the FA Cup by beating Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, winning a European Cup by beating, Bayern, Barca, Juve and Inter Milan (Best teams in Europe at the time), you know the treble was no fluke!
