It's a Nigerian traditional headtie that is woven(it is thick). You can use sinamay or any fabric, just add an interfacing if the fabric is not thick .

Depends on the length of one awe
If it is by 90 then one would be enough.
If it's by 60 to 75 inches then one plus some inches but it won't be more than 2 awe
