Thank you for watching! I am happy to hear you liked the video. I did not use stiffener, as the fabric already stiffened. I used a little bit of water to soften the fabric. Hope that helps.

I have a small roll of baby blue cotton velveteen, I made a bustier out of it and would like to make a fascinator to match. Any ideas? Please❤
Thank you, glad you liked my fascinator making video tutorial. And no, no glue gun on any level :-) everything I make is stitched and made by hand.
It is very hard to make a sudgestion regarding what type of fascinator to make to match a bustier without seeing how it looks. My best recommendation is adding some contrast colours like dark navy or tender ivory. I have quite a few tutorials on different decors that might help with an idea for the design. Give it a go, experiment and I am sure you'll find the best decor option for the fascinator. Don't forget veils, it's always a nice touch 🙂

This ruler is 30cm long. I wish i had a longer one but didn’t have a chance to find yet))
In my country doesn't exist the synmay, for what I can replace it?
What's in your spray bottle? What type of paper did you lay down for ironing?
Its a tap water to soften the straw and baking paper to protect the straw. Hope that’s helpful ☺️

The best way to learn hat making is by learning the basics and then practising the skill. I have a lot of different videos on my RUclips that might help. However I would recommend starting by taking a private class so you learn about the most important details.

The hat base is called just a hat base and yes I made it using Sinamay straw. You can either purchase it separately or make it yourself. It’s not complicated but there are few easy steps to know.

The fabric is called Sinamay straw. You can purchase it from any millinery supplier. The measurements for bias strip (long piece of Sinamay cut on bias) is 9cm wide and the length is up to you.

what else should I used when I don't have de veil
You can decorate with anything that is available to you. Veil is just one type of decoration among many others.
This may have already been answered......but what is this fabric called?
Love the video. My sister is getting married next year, and I am trying to talk her into letting me wear one in the wedding party. I found one I loved on etsy, but it's $108 dollars and I do have to buy a dress on a very tiny pocketbook. So i have been trying to figure out if I could make a similar one

Называется синамей sinamay straw. Но помимо нее есть еще очень много других материалов. В моих видео я в основном использую синамей соломку и фетр (это зимний материал доя шляп)

How do I make the base
Hello Joan, the base is blocked on a hat block, i use traditional millinery techniques to create a base. If you wish to learn the technique, i have a “Fascinator Hat” workshop which is available to book on my website (in person or online via zoom, you will get a material kit which is included in the price)

Noticed the glue didn't stick. She used needle and thread which is infinitely more appropriate for traditional millinery
