ILoveBasketballTV thanks so much for the tips i am a track athlete so run relly fast but wasn’t using my speed correctly and ur video helped me a lot thanks
i'm 6'1 and i went from barely being able to touch the rim in 2018 to doing windmills and catching alley oops in 2020. hard work and dedication will get you to your goals. i watched Coach Rocks video he uploaded about increasing your vertical a while back and it really did help.
@@jacobpressel7266 to increase vertical just keep jumping, to prevent injuries we work out. Strengthen your core, legs. Warm up before and stretch after exercises or any physical activity. Jumping technique is the key and explosiveness 💥💥 Also don't forget to do sprints
I've dunked once, which was last yr in March of an alley. I need to learn to dunk off the dribble, and be more consistent in general. I dunked off of 2 feet. Need to learn to do it off of one
I'm also 5'10, 19 yrs old and from the Philippines, this tips are really helpful because it is rare for us Filipinos to dunk because of our short stature. I can dunk from 10 foot rim but coming from a lob and needs to be warmed up properly. Been watching different videos on how to improve vertical jump but this channel is the most informative of them all. Thanks for sharing this tips, stay strong to this channel! 😊🏀
I learned your last tip just a couple weeks ago. I realized I touch higher when my force isn't lost going horizontal - quite an instant gain in my "vertical".
I’m about 6’0 and I’m a freshman. I can get to the orange thing that connects to the rim. I’m also really fast. Can’t wait to test your tips tomorrow👍🏼
ILoveBasketballTV I haven’t had a hoop at my house in like 4 years so staying consistent is very hard. Like last time I actually played basketball was like a year ago, and I was like 5’6 (14). Now I’m 5’10 without shoes and 15 (duh) but my jumper is super off now bc i shoot like I’m smaller, if that makes any sense. I’m boutta get my hoop back, and I’m going to try to hit rim by the start of my junior year.
Thank you so much! I'm only thirteen years old, but I have the hoop at 8 ft and I'm only 5 ft, so I have to jump 3 feet and a little more to get over the rim. But my dad was in a lot better shape when he was thirteen, and he could dunk 8 foot hoops, and I made a deal with him that I'd be able to dunk it by the end of the year. So this was a lot of help.
I heard something about a "Block foot" its like, (as a right left jumper) you place your right foot after your penultimate step and then you place your left foot a little bit diagonal next to/ in front of the right foot. Its kind of hard for me to explain :/ Also those were very good tips! Thank you Coach!
The out of reach concept totally works. It’s kinda mental in a way. It’s wierd because when I try to dunk I can’t but when I go for a board and the ball is way up there I feel like if I was gonna dunk I could. It’s mental
