Kishkindha Kaandam (transl. Kishkindha Chapter) is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language mystery thriller film directed by Dinjith Ayyathan and written by Bahul Ramesh.The film stars Asif Ali, Vijayaraghavan, and Aparna Balamurali. The story takes place in monkeys inhabited Kallepathi reserve forest where ex-military Appupilla and his son Ajayachandran, a forest officer, resides.
Plot
A retired army officer's gun goes missing, prompting his son's new wife to investigate. As she uncovers family secrets, including the mysterious disappearance of her husband’s son, the authorities are drawn in. Vijayaraghavan is a great artist came almost at the same time of big Ms. His father was a great drama artist,director etc. Hes being called as "natakacharya" in Kerala. He acted only in 2 movies if I remember correctly and his debut movie Godfather is an industry hit.

ARM Hindi dub first day 5 lak. Goatlife, Bramayugam done proper dubbing. But practically no viewers. I mean there are cinephiles like you but missing on normal cinema lovers. Aavesham could have been the best breakthrough to the Hindi market but it didn't happen.
I faced same issue with aavesham .only 1 hall with subtitles that too in delhi.
But things will change soon

You should watch Drishyam (both parts) and Ayyappanum Koshhiyyum in malayalam.The remade version of Drishyam is a poorly executed imitation of the original. And mollywood has always been content driven. I'm 90's kid and whatever -20 or +20 years from 1990, watch any movie and you will see the diff. Vandanam, Kilukkam, Minnaram, Keezhakkan pathros, Chitram, Aanaval Mothiram, Ponn Mutta Iduna Tharavu etc. .THe remade content deliberately twist the story making it pretty useless.

kishkinda khandam is the chapter in Epic Ramayana. please co-relate it with
"Lapatta ladies" won the Oscar nominations, inspite of other good movies. Lapatta is indeed a good movie, but will it be an oscar mettle....maybe on some area, but not on content. "Aattam" which won six national awards in various categories was a deserved movie. "Aattam" was close in race. It had a good content too misogynist society. On the whole a great movie with great direction and action and a storyline of a changing society and its perception very subtle, but thrilling and engrossing to the end
The end climax was the highlight . Subtitles and proper translation to bring the true emotions of the movie could have done better.
Lapatta was a mass entertainment with a message on women empowerment and that swayed the votes in that favor. Probably the intrinsic values of the content of Malayalam cinema was missed by judges. Maybe biased too.

Watched this movie yesterday but it didn't match the hype created in the media.Slow paced and little boring but screenplay and acting is good.I have seen this kind of movies before in English and may be this is the reason it didn't impress me much.Of course Malayalam film industry produce some of best movies in India without usual masala and are very realistic.

@@vysakhr5888 you can't force people to watch movie. There is a certain level of critical thinking needed to accept good movies. Lot of states in India doesn't have it. So there is no point in dubbing to hindi or English if people can't relate or connect. That is the cultural difference
