My two cents is this on Shanti devi case, firstly...the husband Choubey was so much older than even Lugdi so why would a young , simple gal like Shanti want to relive with him except if she truly believed. Also, this us early 1900s , there was no social media, no facebook, no Snapchat, how can a girl get so much info. Argument sake, even if she got the info ❤and just wanted gandhi jee to visit or Bapu to make her famous, why will she continue to be single all her life? This is the time when travel from Mathura to Dilli was not thru highways but generally tough.

Generally speaking, There is no rebirth in this world as per Islamic understanding. But jinns have long lives and they can share the information they have about erlier generations with some humans. They can also influence human through dreams or otherwise. This could also be an explanation. I dont know what jinns are called as in Hindu shastras/culture. But I am sure that such an explanation would be there in Hindu beliefs also as Hinduism emcompasses a large spectrum of undestandings.
