Her downshift timing was correct, her turn in was great, and her line is pretty solid. For a beginner, and a MOM who doesn’t do racing, this is beyond impressive, this is talent she never knew she had… good to see where the son gets it from.😊 apples don’t fall far from the tree

Love to see this! Just make sure she realises how important it is to keep both hands on the wheel. And then to get her hands out the way during collisions and crashes! FFB might be lowered, but can see there is still a decent amount going into the wheel when she corners. ; )

My wife got on, hit the gas pedal, assumed there would be no turns and went straight into a wall. I asked her "would you have done that in real life!? Just drive it like you drive your car!". I think the 90 pound load cell caught her off guard
LOL! I have friends that come over and try the rig and do the same thing all the time.
It actually gets extremely frustrating when friends or family try the sim for their first time and no matter how much you have told them to just cruise slowly and get a feel, they just put the foot down and go off at every corner. I tell everyone that they will have more fun going slowly and keeping the car on track, rather than frying to go fast and crashing at every turn. But I think people think it'll be easier than it is...

@@casesully50 Exactly! Instead of encouraging people to go slow, I leave gearing on manual and tell them to not go up any higher than 2nd or 3rd gear depending the car. That works better! lol 😉👌🏼

My missus tried my sim rig and hit a wall doing about 200. I forgot to tell her DD's can do damage but she found that out pretty quickly. She doesnt like to use it anymore. 🤭 "Why is it so strong? Thats stupid".

Haha, she was going so slow at first, but with each lap, she was getting faster and faster! But hey, speed wasn't the most important thing for her anyway. She was just having a blast. What’s the cost of setting this up at home?
I've lost track but my current setup is anywhere between $20k to $30k (Canadian dollar) if you include the gaming pc and all the hardware etc.

Theres no way this is a 20k set up, it doesnt even have motion. Maybe 11/12k setup.

Sheis doing great did t wreck j deratands you gotta slow done break and shift in the corners unlike my gf on the oval tracks just floors it ne er lifts and doesn't understand why she wrecks in the first turn every race. It has teken 3 months to teach my gf how to drive a legend car and street stock and latemodel properly with out wrecking. When we lived in Canada because my dad was in US Air Force and got stationed there my dad ended up buying an asphalt circle track because my mom started driving at circle track race cars there well my mom hasn't raced in about 20 years because when I started racing at the age of 10 she quit racing so we could afford for me to race. Well about 9 years ago I got irising for the first time because I was racing super late models and one to practice at some of these tracks that were on there so I can get better at racing and win more races and get more seat time in a super late model well my mom got on eye racing and she hasn't drove a race car and probably 11 years at that point and as soon as she got on the simulator I have and I put her in a street stock it came back to her like she's been racing and never stopped racing and she literally won every single race in rookie mode that she was in so she ended up making her own iracing simulator and account and she is very good at it. She wins every single league race she is in and every single iracing race to avance that counts to getting out of rookie intermediate ect and ks a beast at avoiding all the dumb wrecks and her irating is almost perfect. I been racing in real life since i was 10 and when i race against her she is one of the best drivers on our league which is all real racecar drivers from the different divisions at the track i race at still. And her first league race in our keague for the drivers and fans that come to our track everyone could t believe how goos she was at racing and how jard it is to beat her and pass her cause she doesn't block she ks kist a smooth driver who can hit her marks and drive the fastest racing line on dirt and asphalt every single lap and never messes up a lap or corner very often. Now when she races in the old gen cups cars that are before the new gen they are currently racing she is unbeatable almost in those and she uses the fixed setups that is a default setup that iracjng sets for each car for each track cause she doesnt understand how to set up a racecar. I sent her my setups especially the legend car lnes where the setup is so fast that tires barley wear and the car drives it self almost she can lap the whole foeld three or four times in a 10-30 lap race depending on the soze of track and o can only lap everyone twice max at south Boston when she can lap the whole field 4-5 times in one race. Glad you got your mom to try out your sim lolks like she loves it
