  • Sat down for a Zoom interview to discuss Squatters and Law Change with one of the most political public figures. Regardless of how you feel about Tomi Lahren put that aside and listen to the issues. Squatters are a non political situation that needs to be dealt with aggressively. #squatters #tomilahren #flashshelton

    In 2020 we sold our house when we moved to Thailand(we bought a house in Thailand) we were lucky to sell everything at time, I wanted to keep and rent our primary house but feared Squatters or having to evict a renter, well we arrived in Thailand March 13 th - by march 20 th Covid hit , well now that was luck. I sold my Tahe condo after having to evict a renter that stopped paying rent and never came up with Last months which she never paid in beginning. What Idid asked my neighbor to go up to condo and show her a lease that we made for him and she needed to leave, she left for a week and never answered her phone. I found also they had wrecked the Heating and carpet . She never came back , her son stopped by to get his mattress but they left all there junk(not really furniture) anyway , my fear was leaving the house empty and having a squater move in and being 6000 miles away.

    Best way to fix squatting, is to do what that guy you showed in the video did. I have seen him numerous times before. Squat on the squatters. If you squat on them, they cannot use their squatters rights against you. As you also have squatters rights at that point and they are equal to the original squatters rights, meaning they do not have rights above yours. You squat on them and lock them out. Then if you need, you get a protective order against them to prevent them from being able to return.
    Squatters rights is soo dumb. They come from long ago. They were needed back then. Not now. Here in Australia, when British people first came here and set up land to live on, they didn’t really own any, and the Government called them squatters. They won rights and then the Government sold them all the land at very cheap prices. This helped people get on their feet and not have to abandon all their hard work and farms that they already set up. It helped people and protected them from a Government that did not want them to have any land. But they won. Pretty sure the same sort of thing happened in America. And in the UK as well, cuz they have strong British Squatters Laws and Rights.
    The problem is they are no longer needed and should have been done away with decades ago. But these newer people take advantage of old outdated laws that should no longer apply. Losers that want to take what other people worked hard for, the very thing Squatters rights were designed to stop. They were designed to stop the Government taking away what you have and have worked hard for. Now people use it to do exactly what it was designed to prevent. So Laws need to change.

    You have the patience of a saint... not just to deal with squatters, but to do interviews like this one. She tried at every turn to make this into a politically divisive issue. But that's her job, I guess. All you can do is keep doing your job. I have hope for the future; if we can get bipartisan support for reforming the laws which allow these squatters to be such an issue, it would benefit everyone. Well, okay, maybe not everyone, LOL.

    Squatting should not be legal anywhere. The police actually helped me after she called the police on me. They asked her to step outside so they could hear her complaint. I immediately locked her out. One of my boys took her things to her later that day. She has not been back. She told the police she had an agreement with me. I told him I would see her in court. Crickets. Her boyfriend was staying with me and sneaking her in. That's how it started. One night she took all the TP out of my bathrooms. When he came in from work, I knew it was her going into my bathroom. As I forced her out, her boyfriend leaned over the doorway so I couldn't hit her. Instead it bounced me off a bifold door to a hall closet. I reached out to get my balance and touched her. She screamed lol. Her calling the cops was a perfect opportunity. I took it. He went with her even though he had an agreement with me. He gave me my tp that she had hid under his bed. 😅 My son found him so he could get his things, 6 months later. A twofer.

    The issue is unaffordable housing and rampant homelessness. The issue is thousands of empty homes held by extremely greedy and useless landlords. This evil has come to an end. God is good. 🕊️

    • @FlashShelton
      @FlashShelton  3 дня назад +1

      This issue has nothing to do with housing and homelessness. Squatters in most cases are not needy or homeless. When given a broken system they make a choice to live rent free and hurt others. Homeless people typically don’t break in and take over someone’s maintained home. Homeless people don’t have a history of continually paying a months rent to gain tenant rights. Responsible people move to where they can afford they don’t steal from others.

      The migrants have zero to do with this unless you are referring to the settlers in the 1800’s that started it all. The recent migrants have yet to impact squatting but as I shared my fear is they may seek shelter as a squatter to survive since we don’t have the resources to accommodate the families we irresponsibly let in.
