Great work and awesome creativity, much respect. And for anyone doing the tutorial, when shaping the star make sure to set your segments to 6 before increasing the bevel like at 2:50

I keep trying to select the faces on the star to use the bevel tool and it just deforms it the wrong way :/
Awesome tutorial! Question tho. When I render the animation theres a large black border around it where we scaled it down while compositing. Is there a way to get rid of that in blender or do I have to edit it out in another video editing software
ignore that I realised where I messed up. The first scaling node is to pixilate by compressing the image and the second scale node is to bring it back up to size! Great video I feel like I learned loads!

I don’t have a very good answer for you but I believe you would want to look at changing the “world” settings, which would probably impact the lighting but I think there’s a way to render the world as transparent. Hopefully someone more experienced can help with more details, best of luck to you!

when i import my test as an svg i dont have all those curves only a text so i cant extrude

Right click > Convert to Mesh
To elaborate further, you are still trying to edit a text as it is, it will gain properties of a 3D model once you turn it into a mesh object.

@@rayanwrld I just read your original comment again. When importing svg, follow this step:
Edit > Preferences > Addons - Enable the addon named Import-Export: Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG) 1.1 format
Finally to import, use File > Import > Scaleable Vector Graphics
This addon allows you to import SVGs as curves, I'm sure you missed out on enabling it. Also - it is already built into blender, you don't have to download anything. Hope this helps.
@@rayanwrld Also, when you eventually do get it to show as curves, you will want to select all of them (best to do it on right side in the outline so you dont miss something), then hit CTRL + J to make them all one object. That way you will extrude the actual face and not random vertices from the curves that were generated. :) After this, you want to convert to mesh before extrusion.

I was having the same issue at first but I resized my file and the font to a bigger size and I didn't have that issue anymore

@@Zomtamc Have you tried to make your font size bigger. I ended up making my file bigger and also increased the font size. It should help :)
