That’s me I have always played controller and been from my pov a decent player I mostly just snipe unless I play warzone or go for camos but I agree knowing I’m not dog shit and sitting there getting shit on for days doesn’t sit right with me until I muscle memory where the keys are because I haven’t touched a keyboard since like 2012 with fb… lol

After switching to PC gaming after a lifetime for console I was in awe, I love it but I did put off the switch to KB&M soooooo frustrating and give you a new found respect for the guys who are so good using this tool. It requires time and practice as anything in life. I play AFPS games never liked Warzone due to the game mechanics and movement it's too slow for me, but I play occasionally with friends just MP not BR, you will get eventually there.

As someone who has been playing m and k for about 2 years now I can say I’m 3 times as good as I was on ps4 it’s definitely worth it

I find getting the most comfortable keybinds and then remembering them to be the most challenging. I am an MMO player so I use the G600. Gives me more options but that's not always a good thing
you answered all my questions about how to get better at keyboard and mouse! I cant use controllers anymore due to my hand cramps and i need another way to game. Mouse and keyboard seems to be the way to go for me so i have been practicing!

Dope video. First day on m&k in like 15 years
I play most games with relatively low DPI, but with FPS I set it at 16,000, and put my in-game sensitivity really low. It accomplishes the same thing as far as precision, but with much smoother mouse tracking.
I had a g502 loved it. Switched to a Corsair Nightsword. Love it even more. I do miss the middle mouse side click function but the corsair is alot bigger than the g502 and fills my hand better

Late commenter, I know, but dude I have to say that Aim Labs has been a huge improvement for me in my switch. I mainly play Apex, but the concept is the same. Moving to M&K was much easier with Aim Labs as the game sense was already in my head. I'm sure warzone is like it too. I am going to try the keyboard idea though. Never really thought of it that way with the keyboard attached.

@@20kruben50 I have, bout 4 times, on my PS4 I have a kind of old keyboard but it works just fine and I have my mouse, it’s kinda frustrating but not too much, but what really gets to me is the movement, you go from having 360 degree movement with a joystick on controller, to only W, A, S, D on keyboard, it’s a done grade in movement honestly

The first 3 months was awful coming to kb&m. Now a year and half later, trying to play with a controller is weird as hell even tho can still do it but not like before. Just find a comfortable dpi and sensitivity. DPI needs to be set while in Windows so that the movement of your mouse pointer while on pc and then change the in game sensitivity to adjust. A lot of people will talk about 400 or 800 dpi, but the newer mouse sensors you can use whatever feels good for you and be perfectly fine. The older mouse sensors would not work that well and the 800 was the native dpi for sensor. Also if you use 1440p the movement will feel slower than someone with 1080p using the same dpi. I use 2400 now with 1.53 in game sens. I dont like using my arm to move mouse around on OS screen while not gaming so use little higher dpi on 1440p monitor.

Love the G502 mouse !took your word and bought it and you were so right !!!used a light speed before and can't compare to the G502
I have this mouse too and love it. A nice keybind for warzone is the side click mouse wheel is one side reload and other side for armour plate. Warzone registers the side click but cold war doesn't so have to set up the clicks in g hub to keep reload button. I also use the other 2 top buttons by the left click as tactical and lethals. Front side button is weapon swap, rear side one is melee. Wheel click is ping.
I recently switched to PC from console still adjusting to it but getting slightly better having to use deathmatch to ease myself to get better

I bought the same mouse for the thumbrest as well, and I also binded plating/lethal and weapon switch to the mouse wheel.
I ALSO used to switch DPI ALL THE TIME - finally turned it off.

That keyboard is lit, but also hella expensive. :S
I used the wired version for a while and used the sniper button as 25k dpi just to be able to move when get stunned. Would hold it down so could move the mouse and be able to turn slowly instead of none at all lol. It did not negate the stun, but did allow me to be able to turn very slowly like using a controller with fully pressed analog stick. You will have to slowly move the mouse to the direction instead of a fast swipe or it does not work that way bc need a steady input of high movement in one direction to turn.

This is great needed this. But still need help button mapping my razed or weaver chroma. I just can’t figure it out. I’m always missing a button everytime I try to do it
After 15 years, I still use a WolfClaw gamer keyboard. I even got a spare one, as they dont make them anymore. Logitech makes something similar, but I am hooked on my WolfClaw.

Yes because it’s only the left side you really need I have the keyboard where the right side is cut off and it helps a tonne cause there’s not as much buttons and you are less likely to press the wrong button

I need help with the sensitivity on warzone on the high and low zoom and which scopes are connected to each. Also, what is throwing knife used with (regular sensitivity, low, or high zoom?) I have some long ass orangutan arms, I actually bought 2 body pillows and have them on my lap so I don't have to hunch over anymore.

I made the transition about two months ago, and I can finally say, I’m more confident on mouse and keyboard than a controller. For me, I just practiced different FPS games. Did a little bit of aim labs and that’s about it. Just practice everyday.
Ive played on controller my entire life. My aim is better currently on controller due to lack of experience on mnk, but I’m about 80% as good as I was on controller after a week on mnk. Its obvious the skill ceiling is miles higher on mnk (unless your someone like shotzzy or crimsix on the sticks. Yet, them on mnk would probably be godlike lol). I mean after a week Im 80% as good but I can feel the potential is so much higher being that my bad movements on mnk are almost 3/4ths as good as my average movements on controller
@@jakejack9758 trust me, you will surpass your abilities on controller. After a year on mnk, I can confidently say I’m a lot better than I was on controller.
I played with invert mouse from age 15 until 33... One day decided to go regular. Was a tough transition at first, but took about 2 weeks and have been fine since.

A word of warning when switching to keyboard and mouse. I been practicing on aim labs and in Cold War and in warzone. I got a shadow ban today in Cold War. I am at a point that I’m feeling very confident in my settings.
U forgot to add the settings in cod itself, and the setting in windows that smooths your mouse accuracy.

I have recently decided to make the switch, it’s not as hard as it looks in my opinion, but what really frustrates me is my movement, I come from a controller which you get 360 control of your movement, going to a keyboard where you only get 4 keys, it’s frustrating because no matter how good my aim is on a mouse, my movement ruins my gameplay in games like call of duty

Great video I made the switch a year ago with a ximapex but my issue not is with modern warfare which is supported I struggle to map correctly.
On the xim I can map 2 3 action to on key just like on controller the Y can change weapon and put plates on
When you try to map on keyboard you need a key for weapon change and a key for plates
A key to crouch a different one for go prone and different one to slide and a different one to drop items meanwhile on the controller it's all B or the Zim can be 1 key
That is my only problem with mapping I don't want to have 24 keys I want the same amount as a controller or a little more
I been on pc 4-5 months playing keyboard and mouse. My dpi was always at 1000 recently used aimlab and base on my high score sensitivity I used I ended up with 650 dpi I can’t play full arm because I don’t have the support in my mouse hand basically like you said I get tired.

been gaming non freeking stop since atari 2600 in 1982 and keyboard mouse has been the most important and best gaming upgrade i ever done , i hate controllers now even tho im good with a controller
mouse 5 is always melee and mouse 4 always push to talk in every game i play , for me ,
in warzone i made e gun mount , mouse wheel press down to click change weapon to remove the delay from scroll wheel
chopper flying shift up control down
left control is prone this helps with slide cancel wich makes tactical sprint effective and helps you run faster in warzone , c is still crouch slide
everything else default ,
i always keep everything as default as possible in every game , most games , not all but still somewhat similar , use same defaults so this keeps things easy to remember
mouse dpi i have at 800 mouse sensitivity at 4 , wich is way better but making quick right hard turns seem to slow since i have to lift my hand so thinking turning dpi up a 100 to 900 and slightly turning up sensitivity in game from 4 to maybe 5 or 6
this is new to me as i was at 1200 dpi sensitivity 12 , for the past 5 years using mouse and keyboard i always used default mouse settings only now realizing the benefits of tweaking it ,
i was good with default mouse settings and i had great gameplay at default mouse settings but tweaking it i am seeing my gameplay improve even more , that's how i got here even tho i know keyboard mouse , i searched mouse settings and this video poped up
to me the main thing is posture the way you sit , my wife and kid game at horrible posture and refuse to listen to logic , i always keep my elbows even with the table sit straight etc ,
i keep my keyboard turned like you do but more extreme of a turn ( think a square corner to corner ) and always have a wide arm spread about a 2 feet wider than you have , we appear to be the same body size
i have the same exact mouse pad i bought when i got my awesome corsair k70 lux keyboard that i love with red cherry switches ,
i just use a steelseries mouse with 2 side buttons , rival 310 , simple mouse with 2 side buttons is all i need im bout ready to try other mouses i been looking at but they also are simple 2 side button mouses , i like rgb mouses goofy lights make me happy
i used killing floor 2 to learn basics of keyboard mouse , than gta watchdogs and wildlands to learn driving and flying in a open world game , that was 5 years ago
I’m just making the transition and I went with an Apex Mini Pro keyboard because of the dual actuation function you can assign keys. I’ve been a console player for what seems like 40 years now since I’m in my 40’s and I think the less buttons for me as a casual gamer it’ll make the experience better and I won’t have to think about finger placement. I dunno, I’m waiting on my new gaming laptop so we’ll see if I stay with the mouse and keyboard or get frustrated and go back to controller.

i use the wheel tilt to ping and the side button for plates lol
