    The reason controller players can't go to MnK but decent MNK players can be good controller player proves that controller is just a less skilled input.
    The MNK players have better mechanics better coordination because nothing is doing more than 50% of the work for them.

    Great video! Unbiased and honest! People that play on kbm are passion driven towards playing fps on kbm becasue this was the original way they were played. It does take skill to be good at the game in general. Just because someone plays controller does automatically make them good. Some kills are less rewarding but a kill is a kill at the end of the day.

    I've only played shooters on controller and I started playing COD with BO3. I decided this year to switch and try to use kb/m. Gun fights against people up close on kb/m is really difficult. Also trying to track people while they're moving is also difficult. Gun fights at range feel better and sniping feels good on kb/m. I never sniped on controller but it feels good on kb/m. I'm going to stick it out. It does feel good when you get kills on kb/m though. Movement feels weird to me on kb/m because I was used to controller. But now I see why people on kb/m complain about controller. Since I never tried it I figured I should try it out. Especially considering there are far more shooters that are available to you on kb/m then there are on controller.

      it took me forever to really master the movement on kbm,, almost a year through experimentation. i have never used a controller btw.. I still have trouble spinning around fast n close and shoot accuratly. I think for kbm I would imagine using a gun that you can turn around quickly with is best. Great video - hard to make one like this, difficult to remain unbiased. Watching it, the highlight for me of how OP aim assist is, is when you're taking out the people parachuting in - getting a down on someone landing in on K&M is very difficult, you were just tracking them in.
    That being said - it still takes some skill on a controller...
    What I can't get over is you using Twitter on light mode mate - this could be a deal breaker

    • @JaiGe_Wins

      Yeah I was going to mention it but I thought it was just clear to see. The tracking is very minimal effort when someone is landing in. Really withing 30 metres, if someone is infront of you, the AA only needs slight adjustments for the most part. I don't use light mode on twitter 😂 it's just because I recorded it on my pc ... which I don't use for twitter. Thanks for your input mate!

    I'm a K&M player and believe aim assist is necessary for players on controller but at the same time COD has gone way overboard with the levels of aim assist provided to PC controller players. Honestly I wished controller was only allowed on console. In the end it is what it is and I just spend more time playing games that have zero controller support or input based matchmaking and call it a day.

    Great unbiased video, personally I started on KnM (on PC) when I started gaming 20 odd years ago as far back as the first Call of Duty, but swiched to controller as I migrated to Xbox, I do feel that I am at an advantage sometimes. But longer ranges (like you mention) are an issue.

But when I got a PC for the first time I played counter strike on a mouse then from that moment on became a mouse and keyboard player on all fps games. Then going back to play cod on mouse, you start noticing aim assist against you ( in kill cams etc ). It was intriguing to see how big a difference there was

    First of all you accent made me almost not watch the video but then I liked it 😂
    Second of all you’re totally right on your take. I have been a PC MnK player since I started gaming. Recently I toasted my computer sadly and since I don’t wanted to spend another 3k€ on a new one I thought „fuck it all I play is CoD right now I’ll get a ps5“ which I did. Thankfully you can use MnK on PS5 natively too now without some weird emulator like back in the day. Since I am on PS5 now I can’t deactivate crossplay to avoid (most) controller players though which is kind of fucked. On PC I have a 2,8 KD in MW3 which is pretty decent I’d say… dropped several nukes, DNA bombs and 100+ to 150+ games are no rarity. As soon as I made the switch to PS5 my KD dropped to 2,3 and I lose 10 times more gunfights since I can’t really compete with built in aimbot called aim assist. I also switched to controller to test it and while I really got the hang of aiming I had the same problem you have: movement. I don’t have a scuf or some other paddle controller so I use R1 to jump and L3 to crouch/slide and it’s horrible. I don’t really see the benefit of getting used to controller too. Yes you get free auto aim but my movement is insane on MnK and my aim is pretty decent to. I just want Activision to bring some option to deactivate cross input matchmaking.

    I was worried this was going to be biased towards k&m but to be fair you were quite objective.
    I feel the controller community gets a lot of stick from the whiney k&M community banging on about aim assist being OP when they have no experience playing the game with controller themselves and actually realising that using controller has numerous disadvantages.
    Close quarters combat is just one facet of a first person shooter. Then there is distance shooting, movement, using interactive features such as looting/backpack/buy stations etc, recoil control, initial target acquisition. I’d say all of these other things are much harder on a controller, and the k&m community would do well to acknowledge that.
    At the end of the day, if people want to use k&M to play call of duty, which by the way is a console game designed for controller, that’s all good, but they should stop being a whiney bitch when they lose a fight to a controller player and use them having aim assist as their constant excuse.
    As a controller player I die a lot to keyboard players that have superior movement ability, better aiming at distance, and better aim tracking. Swings and roundabouts.

    There is a guy that has over 1000 hours on CS:GO with a controller, that game has 0 aim assist, it has full controller support but nothing related to aim. That guy rules, he playes so good you can't even tell he is on controller. So AIM ASSIST is not required for controller, but, to make it easier for casual players it is. But COD took it to extreme, the aim assist is way too powerful.

      Actually u wrong. Cause regular player need 1000+ hours to simply learn how to play without aa. On level how play regular keyboard man on csgo.
      Regular players very bad. Very. If they no have something helping with aim they stop play. Mice match simply aim more intuitive. Gamepad has bad flicks. Aa needs for auditory who actually play 2 hours on a week.
      Gamepad have advantages on movement. On close battles. No need play like on piano. No need match place. Non pro controller costs 50-60 usd. K$m costs more expensive. If u buy gamers devices.

    The biggest issue with your idea of 'input based', is that the PC/M&K community is simply much smaller than the Console community. I played Black Ops 4 on PC, the game was somewhat dead after like 3 months. Queues for Blackout/Alcatraz were definitely not the fastest at that point and it's made worse during off peak hours.
    On the one hand it'd be nice to only play against your own input so things are 'fairer', but on the other hand, if you aren't very good with M&K, the game being a lobby simulator isn't very fun either. At least with crossplay you can get back into a match relatively quickly if you keep dying immediately and matches can be found with relative ease at all hours of the day. I do think aim assist is overpowered and frankly most engagements take place in close or relatively close quarters so M&K is typically at a disadvantage, but it is what it is. I would hope activision would tone down the aim assist or maybe implement a slight delay before it kicks in to try and level the playing field, but I doubt it will happen.
    I also agree controller feels a bit clunky after having the freedom of M&K which is why when controller players simply say 'just switch to controller' its like, 'no', I appreciate my freedom of a mouse an keyboard and not being confined to two thumbsticks.

    • @JaiGe_Wins
      @JaiGe_Wins  2 месяца назад

      Yeah I agree the player base would be a lot smaller. They could potentially give you the option for input based match searching though. And if you can't find any matches you could turn it back to crossplay.
      I do think the actual problem is the aim assist like you said though. I've been playing a lot more fortnite recently ( if you've seen my last uploads you'll know) and I never question the aim assist strength in that game. I play with other people who are on controllers and I'm on mouse and it's never even brought up as an issue either of us have. So maybe you're right and it can all be fixed with tweaking the aim assist in general.

    • @hispanicservices2589
      @hispanicservices2589 2 месяца назад

      @@JaiGe_Wins I'd say the actual, reasonable solution, given that M&K is the smaller community, is to give M&K aim assist as well. I have tried a button remapper (to get aim assist on M&K) and it didn't turn me into a god, but it absolutely helped. While I briefly used it, I never felt like I was 'cheated' anymore in close range gunfights. If I lost, I lost. I tipped my cap to them. It didn't really feel overtuned because you couldn't get the perfect mouse feel, your aim was still sweepy like a joystick. However if they wanted to legitimately give M&K aim assist, they could probably make it a bit weaker, like 70% strength or something considering that Mouse is a superior input and the ability to have instant full 360 control and awareness is an advantage in order to get on target slightly faster than someone on controller. The issue isn't getting on target for M&K, its tracking and staying on target once you can't see from all the graphical effects and have a squirrely person in front of you lol. Needing your neurons to fire to send signals to your muscles to move your hand to adjust to the moving target on your screen, while their aim is just magnetized to you, doesn't make for a very fun experience.

    1) It's hilarious to me that EVERY test done is done on a PC, NEVER on a console. I have a PC but its not great for Gaming but I tried MW on it (1080p mid low settings, 40 - 60 FPS) and for reasons unknown to me the same controller I used on Xbox on PC was REDICULOUSLY more responsive and accurate than it was on my Xbox Series X at 1440p 120FPS. Play an hour on an Xbox (ANY Xbox) and feel the INSTANT night and day difference.
    2) I have NEVER seen ANYONE who has done these tests do so with a standard OEM Xbox controller. Everyone uses a PS4 or PS5 controller or some other 3rd party "premium" controller. The reason I bring this up is the polling rate difference. ALL OEM Xbox controllers are locked to 125Hz on the board, but Playstation and these 3rd party controllers have a base polling rate of 250Hz. Everyone who talks about polling rate ONLY seems to talk about input latency (8ms @125Hz, 4ms @250Hz, ect), and they COMPLETELY leave out the fact that a higher polling rates mean a higher quantity of input data, and MORE accurate input translation due to that data being more up to date. Try dropping your mouse to 125Hz polling rate or Even 250Hz vs the default 1000Hz.
    The core of this point is that with some hand testing I have found a link between polling rate and Aim Assist strength.
    Relatively recently I got a GameSir G7 SE controller, I use it on Xbox and PC. On console it behaves completely as expected of an OEM controller, but on PC you can increase the polling rate from 250Hz to 500Hz or 1000Hz within a companion app (This is also possible on Xbox but due to Xbox DLI software all peripheral input is capped at 125Hz) I loaded up bots too test and then played 10 matches of Warzone on each Polling rate level, at 250Hz (lowest the G7 SE went) The controller felt more responsive than on Xbox due to the increased polling rate AND what ever makes controller on PC feel more responsive than on console anyway. (I tested this on both my G7 SE AND an OEM Xbox controller BOTH were more responsive than on Console) Though the exact same as my Dualshock 4 as they both have a 250Hz polling rate. However the instant I went to 500Hz there was a MASSIVE difference, when snapping onto targets I didn't overshot them nearly as much as at 250Hz, but the biggest difference was the tracking. The crosshair had a near iron grip on opponents and it took a LOT for anyone to shake my aim. But at 1000Hz things get ridiculous, I had to TRY to overshoot an opponent. When tracking and fully on target my crosshair was fused to the opponent at the atomic level, NOT quite an aim bot but pretty damn close to soft aim.
    Most Xbox controllers are HARD locked to 125Hz (Your Turtlebeach controller is one of the few Xbox controllers with a Higher 250Hz polling rate) and while PlayStation controllers have a base polling rate of 250Hz this can be increased further to 500Hz or 1000Hz with the Lord of Mice overclocking software. This means there is a non small number of PC controller players running around with this Super Aim Assist. And since this isn't as well known and has no obvious indicators there is NO way to tell if someone was using this. OR if those doing the testing are using it which would greatly skew the results, and push a narrative that many people are happily wiling to swallow. This is why I said to Try it on Xbox, and disable crossplay in the console settings. You Will notice more input delay, a MUCH weaker aim assist (or in general less responsive Keyboard and Mouse) and you will not be getting beamed as hard since everyone will now have a weaker aim assist and in general less accurate input.

    • @JaiGe_Wins
      @JaiGe_Wins  7 месяцев назад +4

      With all due respect, this test was mouse v controller on a PC. Since both from the same device gave a better control to my testing. I am aware ( from other people) that the console experience is quite different also.
      That being said, I never thought about how much different polling rates would affect the responsiveness / aim assist etc of a joypad. Very interesting point you've brought up here!. I wonder if there are any videos on that specifically.

      @@sraitama9412 I play at 105 FOV, 120FPS at 1440p on Xbox, and usually with aim assist disabled. This comment was left after testing a Higher polling rates on Console AND PC, and noticing how much stronger the PC aim assist was even at the same polling rate, and then how much REDICULOUSLY stronger it is at higher polling rates. Was making the point that at least on console (where MOST controller players are) the aim assist is nowhere near as strong as people claim. All "tests" showing Aim assist OP are done on PC with stronger aim assist even if legit, but testers could easily fake having a stronger ("normal") aim assist than normal by just overclocking their controllers but not disclosing it.

None of this effect controller players. Someone let me know how i get my aim assist to work like that

    • @Manakuski
      @Manakuski 5 месяцев назад

      I gotchu: increase your fov to 110-120, set ads fov to affected, set aim assist to default and target assist on. Then srt your left stick deadzone to 0 and 75, right stick to as low as you can depending on ur stickdrift level, use the test deadzones feature. If 2%, then set to 2-3 deadzone. Then in gunfights make sure to left stick all the way to right or left and then only control recoil on the right stick, ez.

      It really isn't exponential... You need to understand the meaning of that word before using it.
      All these settings that K&M players think we have to buff aim assist simply don't exist.

    I think the thing people would also do well to acknowledge is that if a M&K player truly believes they have too many disadvantages against controller players, then they can switch to controller... NONE of them ever do.. wonder why? Oh yeah because of the countless other advantages that they get from playing M&K.
    Another thing is, PC players on M&K generally play on settings we simply can't have on console.. PC players can see console players before the console player can even retaliate.. the movement and frame rate makes it almost impossible against a sweaty M&K PC player..
    The whole thing is entirely unbalanced and if we take the entire thing into consideration we all know that PC advantages outstrip console.. if that was not the case then nobody would play it on PC. Simple

    • @andrewmcmurray3190
      @andrewmcmurray3190 7 месяцев назад +2

      MKB does not equal PC. Most PC players are controller.
      And in COD none of those disadvantages are actually real. Controller is insanely easy and intuitive. Nothing is easier on mouse. Only 1 benefit exists I can tell as a hybrid player which is a dedicated prone button, but eleven that is a negligible benefit with the prone nerf.
      Hit reg on mouse is terrible, hipfire never works, and reticle bobble is insane. Sniping is easier on controller as it sticks to their head.
      One pro to mouse is when you hit a flow state with good hit reg is it is FAR more fun. Mouse wins in the fun factor, as you aren't stuck watching AA cutscenes like a dog watching TV thinking it scared something.

      The switch to controller statement is dumb asf it shouldn’t be so unbelievable unbalanced in a crossplay game. Oh btw we only complain about PC CONTROLLER PLAYERS you console kids are irrelevant asf. I’ve been on the top 250 list on mouse and keyboard and it was the hardest thing I ever did maybe 5 in the whole world on that list that are on mouse and keyboard you have no idea how put at a disadvantage mouse players are till you play it yourself. It’s ridiculous and people like you are part of the problem with the just switch to controller than blah.

      This whole "just switch to controller" argument really has to stop. You're effectively saying "oh riding with training wheels or bowling with the rails up is so easy right? use them yourself then" like...nah I'd rather use my own skill and improve it. Some people have only ever played MnK their entire life, why would they switch to an input which they would feel horrible on, just because it helps to aim for you?
      Secondly, please provide specific examples of these "settings" you claim allow PC players (99% of which are using controller anyway lol) to "see console players first". My mate on PS5 runs the game at 1440p/120hz/120FOV which is much better performance than the average PC, so the settings console has is the same if not better in some cases. This just sounds like lies to be honest.
      When you say a "sweaty MnK player" what you're saying is someone who's probably put THOUSANDS of hours into FPS games, training their aim, getting good at quick target acquisition, tracking a fast moving target with entirely HUMAN reaction time. That all sounds like something which should be encouraged no?
      Then comparatively if you watch a "sweaty controller player" you'll see them constantly just Left-Sticking and spam-ADSing on to target to keep activating Rotational Aim Assist, and barely even touching their Right Stick in a gunfight because...guess what...they don't need to. Does this mean they don't have skill? Not at all, i'm sure a lot of them could play great with AA turned off, but the problem is that AA gives tracking abilities which no human would ever have (0ms delay instantaneous directional changes, tracking the hitbox itself, not the character model).

      @@jamessaunders967 I made the switch when wz3 dropped with very limited controller experience and while proving to be a bitch to learn proper centering and movement at first, a couple months later all I have to say is everyone who has an opinion on mnk vs roller in cod specifically should learn to play both inputs at a high level before talking. If they did everyone would share the same opinion and the discussion wouldn't exist.
      Controller wins in cod, period. Mnk can have advantages in very specific mostly rare situations but that's like arguing controller is worse because of the low parachute sensitivity lol. Both sides keep arguing over stuff they don't understand and the points being made are usually just made up BS not backed by actual experience, just repeating what others say. That being said cross-input play and RAA is here to stay and FPS games on mnk (except counter-strike etc) will likely be a thing of the past eventually so I'll stick to controller
