Excellent vid. First I've seen that addresses Hyundai V6 vehicles with the oil filter at the top of the engine. Steps clearly illustrated without fluff 👍🏽
Just did this tonight and I had a midgrade Fram TG9999 (China) and an STP S9999 (Korea) and I wound up putting in the STP. Even though the Fram claimed 99% filtration efficiency vs the STP's 93% the STP looked better constructed in the media with even pleats and no sign of a glued seam, the exact opposite of the Fram. I think I chose the Fram because last time I used the Ultra Synthetic, their top filter for this car, and it held up great. Like the pros say "spend the extra 4 bucks on a better filter instead of thousands for a new engine." I may even pop over to Hyundai before the next oil change to see what the OEM looks like compared to STP and Fram Ultra. The only thing I'd add is I heard somewhere that it's best to remove the oil filler cap and the filter AND then drain the oil. Something about a more efficient drain with less vacuum. Thanks
I really dislike the plastic oil filter cap on these Hyundai engines. They will start to leak after 8-10 years. A metal cap would probably last the life of the vehicle.
BoogieDownProduction hey when your buddy is an amsoil dealer and the only filter you could find was from vatozone it makes perfect sense. Wasn't my car, I buy American

Replacing my oil cartridge filter housing 2011 hyundai
Wow please the link to buy the oil funnel please !!!i love
When I bought a filter for my 2007 Sonata (6cyl), it had two rubber rings AND a metal washer. What's the washer for?
Metal washer is for the drain plug. It is supposed to be replaced each time.
I have no idea. I've only ever used the two rubber rings (mostly :). Sometimes it pays to read the directions.
No volume??
Exactly
