Showing error message that: "cannot load symbol, couldn't find pad stack" when i trying to add new component to already existing board or running circuit in alegro pcb editor hence how to fix the problem
can you give me site file!!! i just only need site file, thanks
Amazing tutorial. Just one little thing; when you say a net is very important and hence you want to use a larger line width, please explain why that net is important.
instaBlaster.
Dear sir
i am a pcb designer beginners (Electronic energy Meter)
please describe pcb design guidelines and EMI EMC guidelines for below type test
CONDUCTED EMISSION,RADIATED EMISSION,EMHF,IMPULSE,SURGE(4KV TO 10KV),FAST TRANSIENT BURST
you have very special tone, the class is awesome.
Thank you Robert, your style of explanation is wonderful
hi sir, nice explanation... i need one help, actually i didn't get.. where to create that short cut files (n,s,v by pressing directly we can access the tool) and how to add that files to cadence 17.2 tool. pls guide.
Robert Feranec
You are the best - i learned a lot from you
Thank you Mahmoud for nice words :)
Please make a complete course on Orcad & Cadence on Udemy Please
I learned a lot from you. Please upload more videos of OrCAD
Thank you Shadid
can you give me the file (download link) for short cut script.
Dear sir,
How can i use fill region , solid region properties in orcad as i used in altium and also how can i made mechanical hole pad , mounting hole pad in 16.6 as well as 17.2 version
i will very thankfull to you sir
Thank you for this video, its very helpfull for begginers like me. I would like to know if you have any video where you explain how to use a bare die instead a component with a package? I have a finished schematic and I need to change one component for it's bare die which will be wirebonded. Any tips on this would help me a lot. Thanks in advance.
Thank you Mauricio. I do not have any videos about that.
HI Mauricio. Sorry for the late response. Allegro supports wirebonding as well as etch routing, contact OrCAD or CAcence support for more details. . If the bare die you have is small amount of IO' and the height/length of the wires aren't electrically concerning, you could just represent the wirebonds on an extra layer in your design showing the point to point connections from the bond pad on the DIE to the bondfinger on the PCB. Then the fab house will connect it with wires using a profile for the wirebonds.
Why is the via (to the power plane) connected to the capacitor and not the power pin (+5V Vcc) directly?
Thanks, Robert. So I'm trying to learn Orcad, but make the library is difficult. It's entangled. Can I give your Lib Orcad of you?
This can help you: ruclips.net/video/b8arWWrMGXA/видео.html or if you do not want to create symbols/footprints, have a look at websites like SnapEDA www.snapeda.com/ or www.ultralibrarian.com/
Hi. Can you fully show me the funckey w for hover pad and starting layout? Ithank you very much
w is defined by script - you will find more info in the video
very useful
Robert, where can I get the full video of this class from the beginning. This only shows lesson 9. I searched on udemy but couldn't find it. Thanks, Arun
Arun, this video is from our paid course: academy.fedevel.com/courses/online-learn-orcad-and-allegro-essentials
always an amazing instructor! Thanks
nice explanation
👍
hello sir
where i can see the video after this becoz pcb is not completed
please suggest
This video is from our course: academy.fedevel.com/courses/online-learn-orcad-and-allegro-essentials
I am looking for this full course in Udemy .
We do not have this course on Udemy. Only on our portal here: academy.fedevel.com/courses/online-learn-orcad-and-allegro-essentials
Awesome!! the best tutorial on cadence on RUclips!!!
Thank you very much
Really Thanks Robert, we need zuken cadstar full tutorial, can you upload?
I do not use zuken cadstar
i was not able to do like the routing what u did. and i cant place the via what u r doing. is there any setting to change
What minute you are referring to?
nice teahing skills sir
superb video
Hello Robert thank u for your videos really helping a lot.
I have one question how are you panning view in orcad.
In altium we use right click button of mouse. How to do it in orcad.
I always do zoom out / zoom in. You can also use middle button .. but I do not really use it much.
In addition to zoom in/out (on the middle mouse wheel) to pull the view around, I find the arrow keys can be helpful in some circumstances.
As always lots of information, Thanks for posting this video.
Thank you Chethan
Too complicated to use. Altium is the best.
Yes, Altium is easier to use, I agree. Cadence has some good stuff (filters, shortcuts, scripts, speed), but Altium has recognized it and in the AD18 they added some of that features - e.g. I love the new properties panel and filters in AD18.
hey rob ,
may i ask you what is the main diff between Altium and OrCAD ?
There are many differences. Maybe what would help is, if you describe your situation a little bit more (e.g. are you trying to decide what software to learn, or use in your company, or buy as a hobbyist, etc. ...)?
what software to learn maybe to use in the future in my work as a mechatronics engineer
For hardware design engineers I always recommend to learn both: Altium & Cadence.
From learning point of view, Altium is easier to learn (it is much more intuitive), but that doesn't mean it is easy to learn (you need to understand how boards are designed - so you need to understand what specific features are going to do). Cadence is more difficult to learn, but it is used in many very complex designs (eg. in designs for motherboards or server boards).
PS: Also, Altium 18 has a very good connection with mechanical stuff - I know some companies use Altium exactly for this reason - Mechanical engineers + Electrical engineers can work close together. So if you do also a lot of mechanical stuff, maybe Altium could be the software for you to start with.
yes i loved that Altium integrated with SolidWorks , that helped a lot of teams to collaborate better than past .
so if i'm not planning to design a complex PCBs then i should focus more on Altium , and have a little bit knowledge with Cadence. RIGHT ?!!
yes, at this moment you do not need to learn cadence, unless you would like to apply for a job where they use cadence.
