Does it have flat bevel? When you sharpening you lay it flat on the stone/puck until you close the gap between apex and stone?
Also I am wondering which one to choose 720gr -31 cm version or the little bit larger one 975 gr- 35cm

I'm using the lighter one, 550gr head. The axe comes with flat over hollow bevel grind. I use the sharpening kit to sharpen and strop the axe: thespooncrank.com/product/the-sharpening-kit/ I hold the axe with one hand and I sharpen with the other, making sure to keep the bevel flat against the sharpening block.

Most wood will do as long it is green. I enjoy carving birch and cherry.

Great job! I am new to carving and I am looking to buy Robin Wood axe but I’m not sure which one to choose. The small (31cm, 720gr) or the larger (35cm, 975gr). Do you think is there so much difference in weight between them? Which one do you have?

I'd go with the smaller one like the one he has in the video. Its great
