Basically, X was talking about all the people the rapper employs ! Plus, he helps the up and coming talents that need exposure! One rapper can get all those people and their family out of the streets.
@@stockstock6805 I recently published a book and one of the things I wrote about is that once you lose your God you lose your mind. The body, which is to say Black America as a whole is dealing with a mental illness. We're either dealing with this menticide directly or enabling and accepting the mental illness of those around us. So the body as a whole is sick and we're only addressing the symptoms of that sickness which is oppression, death dysfunction, poor health and poverty. We need to deal directly with the illness and those symptoms will disappear. It's the equivalent of someone treating their dry skin and rashes when the underlying problem is with their kidneys.
@jdub2878 Generalizing and painting the whole non monolithic black population in the US bad/mentally ill with a broad brush because of actions of a few is the highest height of Irresponsibility, Ignorance and Intellectual laziness 😳 I was actually patiently wasting my precious time expecting a well thought out, intelligent and coherent response from you but only to be disappointed and embarrassed with every line in your shameful deposit. I'm done my friend and have a blessed day 🙏
It’s an unfortunate setup, man… because as much as we hate when non-black folks say that the hip hop culture causes violence and negativity, we can’t deny the reality of it. Definitely NOT saying that rap MAKES people violent or that the music as a whole is the problem, but to dismiss the idea that music is influential would be 100% dishonest. In fact, entertainers ALWAYS talk about how much control they have over the people and affect the culture… from fashion trends to style to terminology, etc. So, yeah… Each individual who’s creating/ distributing the music has a team, a family, and group of friends who benefit from the career. They put their people in positions and give opportunities that they don’t have outside of the entertainment industry. So yeah, those 16 people are doing much better in real life off of the music that one rapper makes. HOWEVER, there are hundreds, maybe thousands of people who are negatively impacted by the messages and imagery found in the music and its influence on the culture.
What I’m NOT saying is that any individual artist or song MAKES people lie, cheat, steal, r@pe, murder, etc. Unfortunately, that’s the narrative a lot of outsiders try to perpetuate. Like, they’re trying to say that a kid will hear a rapper talk about robbing a bank in a song, and that’ll make the kid hop right out the car and go rob a bank. That’s absolutely ridiculous and NOT how that works AT ALL.
