I was wondering if you are still going to do the crafter build?, if so Asimar Bard gets a lot of arcana if you give him 16-20 inteligence becouse bard can add half its level to arcana(except thundercaller)
I agree. Cheese can be boring, but if we werent all looking to do a little bit of amazing stuff, youd see club wielding melee wizard builds with 0 intelligence
@@wlira3 That's why Duelist Prestige Class got changed between 3.0 and 3.5; originally you got the whole AC bonus up front so people would take that one level dip. It was changed to have it be doled out in dribs over each level, with the result being that nobody played the Duelist PC anymore. Devs seem to have learned nothing, tho. While I agree it's cheesy it's hard to decry a build-optimization for taking advantage of what the rules allow. Otherwise it's not optimization. That said, I do avoid some cheese in the things I myself actually use. But I also have a standard of never deliberately gimping my character.
7:55 Cornugon smash only affects the target of your attack, not the 30ft burst from dazzling display. There is a feat that does dazzling display when you kill someone called Gory Finish, but its not in the video game currently.
Would bite work in shapeshift for barbarian? I was considering making a Druid/Barb "warewolf" focused on self buff and shapeshift, maybe with a level or two of a monk.
@@doberspirit Not sure. I liked the Druid/Alchemist mix because the alchemist gets all those chemical buffs you can add. I believe they should work with a shift but not 100% on that. A level of monk may also help but not completely sure whether flurry of blows works with claws.
I love this build!! SO MUCH DMG!! Best part is that you call it a "Paladin" Rogue build. Lol Clearly this is a Rogue Fighter build with Paladinal tendencies. 😂🤣 Its like you made a Rogue fighter stew with a hint of Mrs. Dashs' Paladin flavoring! Lol I absolutely love all of your builds, tho. Keep it up! Would love to see some off the wall build, like a Slayer/Magus or a Dark Elementalist/Archeologists.
Cornugon Smash only demoralizes the target, not AoE. As an avid Pathfinder 1.0 PnP player, I am sad they did not include Bleed damage (Wounding, Belier's Bite, Bleeding Sneak Attack, etc.) or Deadly Stroke, which the whole Dazzling Display/Shatter Defense builds into in the PnP. For reference, Deadly Stroke deals Constitution bleed, which is ridiculous. Of course, it requires you to focus on Fighter, since it requires Fighter specific feats. Weird they added teamwork feats, but not the Cavalier class or, it's alternate, the Samurai which drops the teamwork feats to allow for Fighter feats. Also strange they have Vital Strike, but not Furious Focus, which for two-handed weapons, it negates the attack penalty for Power Attack for the first attack in a round. It combos for some really good focus damage (and makes Power Attack much more useful). I'd like to see a blaster mage build if you find any inspiration for something interesting (also, without mods, since I am on PS4).
@@ArcaneAgent lol fair enough. By the way you are the most interactive RUclipsr I have ever seen. I love your channel and more then earned my subscribe!
Nice and effective build, Liquid :) I have to admit I'm torn, though - on the one hand it's cool to see what's possible to do in this game, on the other hand there are so many things wrong with this build (and most other "built-for-efficiency" builds) that I would never play it personally^^ How is it even possible that a rogue can be lawful good in the first place, and a thug at that!? Why in the nine hells would a rogue, and a thug at that, then "dip" into a lifestyle so contrary to his own, why would he be allowed into the fold by the faithful, why would his chosen god continue to protect him after he went back to being a thug? XD It really is fun to watch these videos of yours, and I really hope you do keep them coming, but if I was your DM, I would shove this character up a thanadaemon's ass faster than you can say "but the rules allow it" ;-)
I've actually played a lawful good paladin rogue. A rogue that used his rogue skills for good only. To break into a mansion, he had to get a warrant for entry first etc.
@@ArcaneAgent You're probably right. In a PnP setting you would be able to play out and make sense of a lot of what seem blatant incongruencies in a limited computer game setting. Your choices would come with consequences, and they would impact what you can and cannot do and how. It's the lack of such consequences in games like PFKM that make it impossible for me to suspend my disbelief in the game world, which is ultimately what I am playing rpgs for. To each their own, of course, and, for the record, as I said before, I do enjoy your build videos quite a bit anyway :)
How about if going solo going for great cleave. I hate that I have to hit the button each time, but I hit them with dazzling display then great cleave and watch 2-5 fall down. lol I mean I am already hitting their touch AC, why not? I have also been playing with monk having dazzling display (unarmed strike) and great cleave, but I find it lacks in magical prep spells.
Have you ever played Tyranny? I'm picking that one up again for a playthrough and I think you might enjoy the mechanics, in case you've never tried it (it IS a 2? or 3? year old game, now, though)
Basically, when the game starts, a bad guy (or gal... it's left open) named "Kyros" has already won power over everyone (before the game even started... very unusual/interesting premise, for starters!) and you have to deal with some combination of battling, uniting, or joining a handful of different factions (there's multiple paths through the game, it's very replayable as aligning to any faction changes a LOT of things). You got the Disfavored, who are basically "lawful good", the Scarlet Chorus, who are basically "chaotic evil" (although none of this is explicitly stated, just the same archetypes as in D&D), those are the main 2, but there's a bunch of others. Combat is similar to PF:K in the sense that abilities take time during a fight and you can pause and issue commands anytime. It uses dice rolls on the backend (inspectable combat log, just like PF:K, so you can see how things went down and why) and similar to games like Pillars of Eternity 1/2 (who are made by the same guys, although I like Tyranny the best), higher skill level in something means more crits and fewer misses in that thing. BUT THE BEST PART IMHO IS THIS: A rather deep craftable spell system, which I've never really seen in any other game before save for maybe Elder Scrolls Oblivion? It's fucking rad, frankly. Probably the most unique mechanic of the game.
@@pmarreck disfavored is lawful neutral at best, and more realistically lawful evil from d&d standpoint. But since they dont kill indiscriminately they are the "good guys" in that universe. Thats the point of Tyranny, in that world evil has won, and you start your campaign in the last place in the known world not being conquered by that culture.
Another great one. Let me guess: Rogue-not-rogue Kineticist next :)
A lot of pausing and examining the log to see who hit what when and for how much :) I would have been entertained by that at least, because I'm freakishly into exploiting mechanics like you are lol You're not boring to watch, you could pull it off lol. (I guess you'd then also have to go into compatible builds for NPC party members, but hey, if you need ideas for new content... some other people actually play these games for the story lol... me, I play to become an OP sonofabitch!!) Also, forgot to mention, you're hitting lower-level enemies in this vid, try picking on people your own size! >..
