If they, after the Mario's film, make a Mario or Nintendo saga, they should put this theme in the credits of their last movie, I think it would be the most beautiful, and one of the things that most represents Mario, well in this case Mario Kart, it's also wonderful and I think it would make you cry because it is so beautiful
Thank you for making this piece. I was in marching band and could remember all the trips we took and how my section would constantly play Mario party or Mario kart. Those were the best times and this reminds me of every win and loss we had. I still wish I talked more and kept more of those friends. I’m quite late in discovering this medley but it couldn’t have come at a better time. Amazing work!

@@alisondye7372 thank u! i really like this bit - instead of using a specific melody, i just took a chord progression that comes often in these tracks, and really freely arranged it to sound big and adventurous like i like it
as stated in the description, the intro was a tribute to Ben Emberley's take on it. But it is a very "movie score" type of arrangement so it could remind you of quite a lot of soundtracks. I used many many different libraries for this one... lots of layers, would be long to list even if i had the project handy... hundreds of tracks :))

I've just been collecting the best sounding ones i could find to add them inside it over the years (would be very long to list everything you hear in this one video). (so i make things that sound good inside cubase because i'm used to it and know what i'm doing. But you could do the same in any other host. The two most important things to have are good sounding additional virtual instruments, and knowledge/experience)

the software i use is Cubase, but, in case you (or anyone reading) aren't familiar with DAWs: Digital Audio Workstations are usually the backbone of a music software, but, if you want to create music with beautiful sounds, you're meant to add extensions (plug-ins, VST, libraries), that are often third parties to it. In the case of virtual orchestral music making, the most prominent plugin on the market is Kontakt, which itself is just a controller in which you can add, again, sound banks (kontakt libraries) made by independent brands. What I'm getting at is, this song here was made using dozens of plugins and kontakt libraries I've collected over the years, cherrypicked to my liking, so it would be a lie to say the fact i used Cubase here mattered in any way, the sounds come from a myriad of places, and i frequently obtain new libraries and ditch some, so i wouldn't even be sure what many of these were unless i loaded that old project and everything was intact!
imagine, this would be perfect if played on the rainbow road scene in the super Mario bros movie, especially if 0:16 to 1:10 played when the racers prepare for the race and the rainbow road track is shown
