- It's not often we see a single digit manually shifted street cars. Damon's Holden VN Commodore LS turbo ran better than anticipated at Heathcote Raceway recently.

Those who haven't tried to race a manual to do a decent time, don't know how hard it is.
Killer car, well done man.
*Mansmission!*
Does well to get her out of the hole and doin the H-pattern boogie!
I love the boost tee off the external gate lol
Keeping vn era boost control technology
Wow, Id love to build something like that. Classic.
That’s sick there’s something about violently shifting & taking the challenge to run up the quarter 😎
Inspiration for us stick shift guys 💪
She is a beauty love the VNs
Strongly agree, manual all the way.
Great shot of that champion going up the gears. Mad. 👍
Yeah that was good footage eh?
What a video!! Killer edit Luke and thanks for filming the car!
Nice car mate and respect for keeping it manual, as you said you'd probably knock half a second off the ET but it won't be as fun. And it's less likely to be stolen by some young gronk cos they wouldn't know what the 3rd pedal is for 😂
@@davidt3196
Cheers mate as I said I will never go auto because manual is much more fun on the street and more challenging on the track!
@@vnbt1926 For sure! Hopefully I'll catch you at a red light and give you a little run, just to the speed limit of course
(you'll kill me btw)
awesome car love to know little more about cheers. curious what diff gear you running rpm your turning.
Car is killer man! I’m running a very similar setup in my vn. Manual too. Would love to know what diff you have in it?
Killer car, the owner seems cool as well
Good stuff , stick shift is big in the U.S but not so much here .
I reckon it's cool . Great car .
No better aero than the Thomastown suspension setup 😂
Now that’s one tuff street car and one talented street driver
Only needs the baby’s seat in the back hahaha 🤣
Yeeee Damon! Great to see he still has this car
Bots out in force today
They all like showing their arse😂
He is 100% right, i had an auto xr6 turbo and it was fast, but boring af. You know there isnt a challenge when you're racing people while holding a maccas cheeseburger in your left hand
VN's always tilt on one side when going full throttle.
It’s because they are made out of aluminium cans. The body ridgity in vns is very poor. Vn tear apart in accidents compared to later commodores vt and up.
@@stevenkirk2563 The VN was the lightest commodore body produced so if you want to go fast then you need a VN body.
Idea. Now with full boost garage a functioning workshop maybe it will pay for itself to have a full boost tilt tray service for the jobs which don’t finish on time or where the vehicle may need to come back in weeks to reinstall say a tranny so to speak and maybe have a full boost vehicle storage facility nearby for semi repaired vehicle’s and for enthusiasts who maybe don’t have a secure facility to store there pride and joy. Just thinking forward fellas and well done great concept
That's something I have seen before in a mate's DIY Workshop business. Young fellas under estimating the job at hand, and a car still half pulled apart on the lift at the end of the weekend. Definitely need to make the conditions clear, and have a contingency plan to make sure the next booking has their rightful access. But these blokes aren't dummies, i'm sure they're all over it!
Broomy,s f truck
@@TorqHub I was just talking to a mate about this last week. I reckon for this type of business to really thrive you need to have some kind of car storage on site. Where you could store a car, and it's shit, for extended periods of time for customers when things dont pan out.
Those 3 car storage hoists are friggin awesome idea too👌
Go vertical with your projects on idle or back burner, whilst freeing up floor space to work on other cars? I've seen guys that create a storage box that connects either front or rear of the 3 car storage racks so that you can store the build parts with the car in the stacked storage 😉
No need to create more covered storage outside or additional security measures.
Sure for damaged cars or cars that are long term tarp em up in an outside storage facility for sure 👍
I love this idea 💡
Good time. But bonnet gauges went out in the 90s man 😅
That is sick bro. Well done. Tidy as and goes like a shower
Man! So much mechanical sympathy!
Awesome time for a H pattern
Great skill to drive a stick with that much power. It wouldn’t be an easy task.
What a car what a video manual ls turbo early commodore hektic
What a weapon!
Beautiful 👍 love it
they guy he is trying to beat in time is my uncle Deni
Interceptors FTW
take .6 off for the H pattern & it is a near 9sec. Mine also has a T56 because manual is the only way to go. Edit: I'm coming for both of yas with my manual TT V6 :) but seriously I do hope to meet up at at some point.
Yeh da boys
What a gun
That drivers seat has definitely been welded before can anyone relate
go the maneuwl...!
What tyers are at the back?
Go the manual my daily and weekend car are both manual 👌👍✌️
Grouse car. The Interceptor wheels suits the car man, leave them on 👍
What ratio t56 magnum is it?
Does it have a cop chip
oh man I remember those days! Looking back now you realise, most guys who said "cop chip" had no clue what they were talking about, but it sounded cool to say
@@stipitza I never understood why people feel the need to emphasise they have a bt1 , having owned one myself there is nothing special about them
Yeah mate cheese and onion flavour
@@azza9575I always thought the appeal was the fact that it's an ex cop car doing things that would've got you pulled over from the cops 😂
What happen to the original V8?😮
😊😊
Real driving yeah we get it auto faster but boring as lack luster autos
Is the club rego for Mexicans only or are us Northerners welcome?🙏
VIC Roads club permit 👍
Stop leaning on cars thats not yours.
Eughh seeing stick shift to describe a commodore makes me cringe we're not American.
Almost as bad as some youtubers starting to call the commodore utes trucks 😢
The YT algorithm doesn't care for the word manual...
@@fullboost aghhh so just use an American term on an Australian classic so that you get more attention makes sense because Holden and BT1 in the title won't excite enough people lol.
Well done Go HOLDEN Love to see a stick shift in a ford to do the same. 👍👌🦘✌
Man that’s some wicked shifts 🤙🏼
