- The Repeal: In religious communities in America, resistance to medical innovation is still prevalent. Despite campaigns in recent years to repeal religious exemption to vaccination, many Amish people still resist change. In 2019, New York state governor Andrew Cuomo ended religious exemption to vaccination after a widespread measles outbreak. ‘The more I read about these vaccinations, the more I know it is not right in the eyes of God’, says one Amish man, whose children were banned from taking the school bus after refusing vaccination. ‘We are being told that the state feels they have a right in our churches and schools. It scares us’, says another.

I grew up in a community like this one. It is isolating and secretive. There are horrible abuses that go on because they have separated themselves so much from modern understanding of abuse of many different kinds. You will find that many of the men secretly believe there is nothing wrong with using their own children sexually because there are no verses in the Bible against it. Children should not have to suffer because of parents who are anti-progress. Whooping cough is a horrible disease and it does kill children and permanently disable them. Measles are also very damaging. There are many FALSE beliefs out there about vaccines. Vaccines are safe. There are far too many lies going around by people who do NOT care about science or do not understand it. And some of the anti-vaxxers do it because they are anti-society; they are fine with children dying (many of them think there are too many people on earth). I am so glad I left that false belief system and joined the modern world! Science is WONDERFUL!!!!

I really admire people living these simpler lifestyles. They bring another element of diversity to our world. If they decide to not vaccinate and it does no harm to others, then I don’t really see any point in forcing their compliance. In general I increasingly believe that freedoms are being lost, and this is not a good thing.
The Amish who are still in Lancaster Co, PA are among the folks you describe. The less strict ones do come into Philadelphia, to the Reading Terminal Market , to sell their wares. They are a major reason the market is a success. They are wonderful people.
A few educated religious communities have done their homework. They researched and became educated in the science. I applaud them!

Just note that they declared the pandemic over yet I just looked up statistics for overall vaccination for the US and it hasn’t even reached 68%. Which is less than they say we need for their stupid vaccine herd immunity bs.

You're right. I don't know anyone who says "I wish I would have taken the vax." But I know many who wish they HAD NOT taken the vax, and say they will not take another.
I'm not against vaccines, having voluntarily gotten a variety in my life, but I was very leery of the Fizzer jab. I wasn't so leery of the company as I was of the nasty political guerilla war surrounding the rushed "research" to understand a new virus, a weaponized one at that. Even pharma products that went thru the normal checks/balances can flop due to unforeseen reactions.
But I finally decided to get the Fizzr last March since I had a couple co-morbidities. The day after the 2nd jab the side effects KICKED in and hammered me for several months. They slowly reduced in number and severity over time, however I still have daily nausea and occasional super fatigue where I sleep for a day and a half. It also made my Type 1 diabetes blood sugar very erratic.
I didn't notice it at first but my arthritis worsened and suddenly new joints started giving arthritis pain. Doing some researching I found a reference to something called Rapid Onset Arthritis which is associated with the The Fizzr Jab. You don't see the Federal govt or MSM doing press conferences to inform people about it.
After all that I still got smacked by The Cuff germ in Nov which was pretty rough and ended up getting the antibody infusion (which worked good). Getting the actual Cuff gave me additional health issues like chronic sinus congestion with blinding sinus/face pain at least once a week.
20/20 hindsight I'd run as fast as possible away but oh well. I sure as heck am NOT getting any booster or any other Cuff jab ever again. On top of my bad experience the virus mutates so fast there is NO way to even get close to having an effective vaccine. Just a few days ago there was about 5 new Cuff variants that surfaced in CHY-NA.
Add those to the several other variants in a couple other countries and the chase for a vaccine is a pipe dream.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to make a dangerous virus even more deadly really deserves to be drawn & quartered for crimes against humanity.

I am around a lot of Amish people and also Mennonites, but in a different state. Here they do not send their kids to school or on the bus at all. To me it is weird that they do that in NY.
In NY sometimes before there are enough people in the area to start a school, the Amish or Mennonites are forced to send kids to school. For some reason, home schooling is never considered by most. Once they have enough for a school they pull them out. Doesn't matter though. A few counties over from where this story was, the health dept was going door to door threatening closing the Mennonite school if they didn't submit to ALL vax. I warned them not to cave. Those who did have had sick kids ever since who never were sick ever.
Come out and be separate says the Lord, touch no unclean thing and I will receive you.
You have a right to refuse vaccinations and not be treated differently because you say no!
But then they risk other people's lives. Vaccinations only bring success together

We were never allowed to play with sick kids. They were sick they didn't want to play. Once they are up and running they can't pass it on.

All four have gone to school and spent time in public in the same manner, but only the first two have gotten the chicken pox. The two younger ones have still to get chicken pox and they are 9 and 12. The group of children they grew up with stayed home, got better, aquired an immunity and that put an end to the pox for that group of children in our village, but for the older two daughters there was one mother who openly said to me she always sent her girls to play with other sick kids and it was her family that caused an outbreak of chicken pox at the school that year. Some children had it so serverly that they were truly suffering with spots near their eyes and around their mouths, plus on the rest of their body. I don't believe it was her right to cause such suffering and make such a decision. Now every disease is different and should be treated and viewed differently.

Getting measles and chicken pox was considered a normal part of a kid's life in the 60's and 70's. I never got mumps or whooping cough but plenty of kids around me got them. I must have some immunity to those two. Now "medical professionals" act like the 1350 Black Death is upon us if some kids get measles. Weird.

Many, many families (especially homeschoolers) in CA fought against the removal of our vax exemptions in 2015(ish), and they did it anyway. They don’t see us as individuals but the Teeming Masses™️.
