I saw this CD in a store, new, for 50 cents some years ago. There were 8 copies. I bought them all and gave them away to friends and family, demanding them to love it.
True story. I bought about 10 of these CD'S when it came out, and gave them to friends and family for Christmas that year. I wanted everyone, young and old, to hear what an awesome album this was. Didn't go over that well with my 70 year old parents, lol...
As a young lad learning guitar Pornograffitti rocked my world, and then 3 Sides blew my mind! I will say though that I think Waiting for the Punchline is a highly underrated album!!!
I think start to finish WFTP is definitely my favorite. The drum sound alone on that album is explosive!!! And the more raw sound (though by accounts wasn’t as raw recording-wise as it sounds) really showcased Nuno’s genius up front and center.
I was there when they were recording at New river studios, met Gary and Paul. Nice guys, I remember them talking about how "epic" the new album was going to be. :)
Used to go see The Dream at the channel in Boston. I was good friend's with Paul Geary's (original drummer for Extreme) girlfriend Janine at that time. I worked with her at Raytheon and she's the one who turned me on to The Dream who later changed their name to Extreme. Went on a great booze cruise in Boston Harbor back in the day with The Dream and had a blast. Gary had shaved off his eyebrows which I found hilarious. Mutha don't wanna go to school today...oh to the hell yeah!!!
i concur one of the most underrated bands ever.nuno is such a sick player whocan write a great song and fucking shred with the best cus he is one of the best
I don't knowm which album is my favorite, but no doubt that Pornograffitti and III sides are the best best things Extreme ever done so far. And of course they are also above all particular career from each member either.
In response to VictorBettencourt, I can't agree WFTP sucks. Where Pornograffitti and Three sides were well polished and expertly produced, it was on WFTP that Nuno Bettencourt really found himself. The whole album is stripped back allowing for NB's raw style to shine. The writing wasn't as progressive but it was defo raw. That said everything he touches is gold
Great album, the big audience however already moved on to other things by the time it came out. While superior to Graffitti, it lacked the smash it ("More than words") that boosted their 1990 effort beyond what it could have achieved.
This was the most pointless Mtv idea for music related content. This was the beginning of the end for the channel. Canada's Much Music had better content and hosts! 🇨🇦
thumbs up, thanks for sharing it, such an inpiration , Guys feel free to check our newest original music video, i have to admit that some feedback would be just awesome, im very happy though cuz we have a label checking on us, so all the support and opinion will mean so much!! peace

This album was a masterpiece. I can't believe it didn't go gangbuster. Most underrated album in history IMO.
